Does anybody know of a debloat script for a5 2017 a520w. Please direct me to it if there is. Thanks.
DEBLOAT SCRIPT SOLVED
Use this information at your own risk. I am not responsible for any stupidity or bricked devices. The information below was retested before I posted it. It does work if done correctly.
I tested this first on my stock firmware A5 2017 A520W rooted with TWRP 3.0.2.0 . Bell is my carrier.
I went from 302 apps/data elements down to 155 after flashing Touchwiz_Debloat Scriptv2.zip. I used Titanium Backup to remove more , I am at 128 apps/data elements. This can be tweaked more depending what you want to keep.
I just tested this on my...

The debloat script works well on Protax V1 ROM. I went from 308 apps/data elements down to 178 apps/data elements and once again I used Titanium Backup to remove several more.
I am looking forward to the AXES V1.2 ROM mods with Nougat mods. I do hope it is not bloated. I really miss Cyanogen/Lineage OS ROMS, no bloatware.
One of these days I will create my own debloat script. But for now, why reinvent the wheel when it is already round and rolling.
I would like to thank the programmers and developers of Touchwiz_Debloat Scriptv2.zip and Protax V1 ROM for bringing us these tools for our A5's to make them more enjoyable.

Hello XDA!
I recently purchased a SM-T807P (10.5" LTE/Snapdragon) with the intent to use it as a wifi device.
Will anyone tell me which roms work with this device? I've heard the challenge is to find a snapdragon rom?
Its rooted with TWRP on it already. Just need some tasty roms to play with.
If there is ANY way to get cyanogenmod on it that would be my first choice (I would even be willing to offer a bounty!)
I am already running the only one I could find specifically for SM-T807P.
[ROM][TW][SM-T807P Snapdragon] SuperSkilled Basic ROM V1 + Firmware

I'm glad to find a custom rom, but am really for a lollipop de-bloated rom.
But ANYTHING that people have tried so far would be great.
OR anything that I should try that wont permanently brick my new tablet!
Thanks all!
Now you have twrp just make a full backup before you go messing and you'll never have to worry about bricking your tablet.
As for roms, pretty much all roms are based on stock, so just modify yours as you see fit.
Debloat, add mods, etc.

Considering that I am using a snapdragon version of this tablet maybe you could point me in the right direction about which roms work for that processor versus the other?
I know one of the issues was finding a rom that had the right kernel for my tablet.
No the kernel isn't the issue. Its that the t807p is partitioned differently than what the available ROMs are compatible with. I have the same tablet and as awesome as it it, there is very little support for it. No developers have it and its very difficult to work with without owning one.
There is twrp available which I assume you have used and rooted. There is a stock ROM on XDA that is lollipop that works awesomely. I just debloated it myself and tuned it with kernel tuner with stock rooted options. Xposed won't work without a deodexed rom either which is not available. But regular root options and a different launcher (I use nova) and i have it running pretty damn smooth.

I flashed the only KK ROM I found and got FC's to no avail. I then basically wiped the whole thing then odin'd to lollipop. I am stock now and you're right, it's a damn nice device. -- I wouldn't mind de-bloating it myself, do you by any chance have the 'safe list' to reference as far as which apps are good to go. Last thing I wanna do is get rid of some odd-ball system file that creates hell for myself.
Thank you
Just make a backup first with twrp before you go messing then use system app remover to debloat or just freeze with titanium backup . If you get an issue after removing something you can easily restore it.

No problem. First off, listen to everything xda senior member ashyx says. I have been dealing with my rooted t807p for a while and I have found all his posts on the tab s not just accurate, but extremely useful.
here is a post regarding safe apps to uninstall: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/help/list-bloated-apps-to-uninstall-sm-t700-t2861180
Now what I have personally taken off my tab s has been the superficial apps. The magazine apps, office apps that I have no use for, While a lot of apps on the post may be safe to delete, it doesnt mean you should if you plan on using your tablet for wireless transfers, casting and what not. I prefer not to touch many of the "behind the scenes" apps. And also it depends on why you are debloating. Are you looking for more storage space? or for better ram and performance? Unfortunately, at least for my use, you wont save much storage space by deleting apps. But freezing them and playing with it makes a big difference. On just a standard recent apps clearing and maybe a push of my "fast reboot" app, and I can get my RAM to run at around 900mb and little battery drainage.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions, I have played with my t807p for quite a while with rooting and have learned pretty well what works and what doesnt. I am no developer like the senior members on here but there aren't many people with our specific tab s.

I realize it's been a year or more, but do you have a link to the Lollipop ROM for T807P? I've tried the "SuperSkilled" ROM but it was KitKat. I looked for a Cyanogen build for this tablet but no luck. Looking for any ROM that's close to AOSP or at least debloated and is Lollipop or MM.
Greetings everyone. I wish to know more about flashing Resurrection Remix...
I watched the brief instruction on official XDA thread but I wish to know more detail...
- Current Phone Status -
My G3 D855, 32 GB memory, is running stock Android 4.4.2, ROM version “V10n-HKG-XX”, stock recovery, rooted with PurpleDrake (script by xda developer”. Kernel version 3.4.0. All things are stock except I have rooted, with SuperSU.
- Reason of wanting to flash Remix ROM -
I wish to change resolution to 1080x1920, even 720x1280. So I did this using build.prop editing and “wm size 1080x1920”,“wm density 480”. However in stock rom, build in LG apps like Phone, Messaging, Calender will crash. I fix this by installing Xposed & app settings with DPI 530. But I don’t quite want this to be the solution...
Plus I noticed there really are battery difference between 1440x2560 and lower resolution. So I started to think about custom Rom. I found that Resurrection Remix and Paranoid Android are quite slim, good looking, most importantly very customizable.
And Stock ROM has many software that I don’t need, so I wish to give it a try.
- My question -
I haven’t flash any custom rom before (I have flashed on my previous phone but messed up quite a bit).
- So I wished to know what is the prerequisite, anything that need to pay good attention into? I want to avoid bootloop or hard brick...
- Should I install official TWRP recovery on my current status and make a full system backup image? (is that called nandroid backup?)
- If any error occured, can I use TWRP recovery to restore everything in my current status (everything in stock but have root access)?
- Are the custom roms contain build-in Root access? Because I want the phone to be rooted.
- I use LG Flash tool 2014 to flash stock firmware kdz files), with CRC method to completely wipe the phone and back to stock. Is this method still applicable if I want to back to stock after flashing RR rom? Because I want everything to be clean each time I flash a new system...
- I watched YouTube video that changing AOSP rom resolution won’t mess up icons or apps. So I can still receive SMS, dial, calender sync to Google etc. Correct?
--------------------
Finally, I wish to flash the latest STABLE version of the Remix ROM / Paranoid Android ROM. Would be good to hear some recommendations. I wish things to be more customizable and slim. Thanks for reading this long article in advance!

Hello, I've been trying to find a bloatware removal script / debloat script that can comprehensively remove everything except minimum essential items only.
I've been searching XDA & also miui forums but can't seem to find any that is updated. I did find this thread: De-Bloater MIUI 8 China/Global Dev Roms [Recovery Scripts]. But even this is not currently updated and doesn't seem to work properly with the latest version as of today.
I'm currently using RR 5.8.0 but the phone started crashing and completely losing signal out of the blue. (Don't know if roaming can cause such issues). Thus, want to go back to MIUI, minus the bloatware.
Any help/guidance will be appreciated!
Hi, if you want to use the stock miui rom without bloatware and all useless stuff i suggest you to try the europe version.
:highfive: :highfive:
hello,
I made this TWRP flashable zip from December ARK4 Samsung firmware, using SuperRKitchen. It's deKnoxed and untouched apart from the lightest of debloated apps. Everything else is untouched and as per Samsung firmware. No root is included or any other mods or additions. I made this for myself, but offer it here for any interested parties. I'm not a dev, script warrior or ROM master. Just a guy with a T835. I was already on ARK4, but I include the ARK4 vendor image if you need to flash in twrp. It's v4 as it took me 3 attempts to make it! You just need to flash Magisk and/or Modesty Kernel if you want.

I don't get my tab s4 until tomorrow, but I'd like to thank you for making this. I know I'll end up using this when I inevitably screw up using one of the roots or debloats.

I'm not sure - but would think it doesn't. You can try though, just back up before you do and restore if not
To flash ROM you'll need TWRP installed. https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga.../recovery-twrp-3-2-3-1-galaxy-tab-s4-t3843211.
Once TWRP is installed and working, wipe system, data etc
Then flash the ROM zip
Flash kernel & Magisk if you require
Thank you OP! Can you please help me understand, what does deknoxed mean? I know Knox is Samsung security, but what would deknoxed be? Less bloat or some functional advantage?
Removing the knox app that may inhibit root manger or interfering with system apps. It
Thank you for your efforts. Having rooted I had a rigmarole to go thru to apply this update. It was so easy, just flashed with TWRP and I still had root, TWRP, and all my apps data and settings.
I hope that you will do the same for further firmware updates as they come out.
Again thanks for your efforts!
Are you doing Pie version as well?
THanks
Sure, as soon as the sammobile site as th UK firmware I'll dig one out
There is one for Hong Kong and one Unknown. Are you able to provide some basic instructions on how to brew the custom firmware please?
Thanks
All links are not working. Does anybody have mirror on this ROM or another ROM based on Android 8 for TWRP?
