No, it doesn't work any more.
Then, any new method to reset flash counter, to get warranty back on sm-a520f?

Unfortunately not.

If I root my mobile, do I lose my warranty? if so why because it only changes the software layer.
Because they can.
Sucks don't it.
By the way. A void warranty does NOT affect your statutory rights.
Un-rooting is easy enough, if you ever need to send it back.

The problem with that is that the reason you will want to claim on your warranty is because your phone has failed in some way. Often, that failure can mean you can't unroot.
However, in my experience, HTC don't check the firmware of completely dead devices.

Unfortunately for Telus users, there's no way to return back to stock. There is currently no 2.1 RUU for SLCD screens, let alone a specific one to telus.
I had some dead pixels on my Telus Desire, it was rooted, and i just exchanged it in store and noone even turned it on. I doubt you will ever encounter any trouble, as most of the front end staff won't know what rooting looks like.
Hey, I was wondering if Chainfire's autoroot would cause a factory reset or any type of wipe on the phone? I know that for some phones, when the root is an exploit it doesn't wipe anything. I'm not sure if Chainfire's method is an exploit or not though.
Secondly, he says to be on the stock recovery. Once the rooting process is completed, I can install whichever recover I wish right? I assume TWRP is the best one to do? Or are there any known issues with certain recoveries for this device?
Thanks!

It won't...but make sure to make a back up of anything on your phone to your pc like picture, music and so on.
Do a factory reset before rooting to eliminate some problem. That what I did and so far everything is good.
The KNOX meter will turn from 0x0 to 0x1 because of rooting.
And finally use TWRP latest version like everyone does...

Oh yes, that was another question that I forgot to ask. Would Samsung deny insurance claims on a broken phone, or deny warranty coverage from root? I know "technically" they can but do you think they would if it's a hardware issue?
Is there a way to reverse this and unroot the phone if needed?

You can go back to stock via ODIN but the KNOX will be the same at 0x1 I believed. I'm not sure if there is a way to revert back to zero maybe in the near future once the smart devs here can figure it out.
Samsung will void the warranty...but TMobile maybe NOT because some people here already exchange their phone like 2 or 3 times already due to some issue with rooting and so on...

Chainfire's CF-Autoroot will not touch or delete any of your files.
Including pictures, videos. contacts, data, mms, apps or anything else.
There is absolutely no need to backup anything before rooting with
CF-Autoroot or with any other rooting method.
TWRP recovery is excellent, in fact that's what I use it all the time.
Also none of the rooting methods including CF-Autoroot" will do a "factory reset".
The only thing any of the rooting methods do is ROOT the phone and nothing else.
Good luck....

Nope. Triangle away is for resetting the binary flash count. Knox is an efuse built into the chipset. There is no known way to reset it.... Yet

The T-Mobile Note 3 does not have FRP; however, it may have reactivation lock enabled.
Is anyone working currently working on a solution to this catastrophe? I'm one of the unfortunate individuals that happened to acquire an S4 with this build preinstalled. Needless to say, I'm pissed.I'm curious as to if it's even possible to bypass Knox. I'd love to liberate my Galaxy from Touch Wiz and install a the official GE ROM.
I'm more interested in the updated LTE modem that seems to be tied into the 4.3 knoxed up bootloader since I'm still on 4.2.2.

If you care about your warranty this may trip a counter "KNOX WARRANTY VOID 0X1" or something like that. But anyway, the part about voiding you warranty is a theory. In some cases I've read where a device was repaired in store with a simple re-flash of stock firmware, resetting the counter. Other cases have reported sending them in to either be fixed for free or sent a bill for tripping the counter. So the choice is your, just be informed of the concequences before you make your decision. This phone is damn near $700.

Exactly. I don't know about anyone else, but I'd prefer to keep my warranty intact as well as the resell value. By the time I'm ready to sell it, I'm sure people will start caring about having the manufacturer's warranty still intact.

I was able to run CF-Autoroot after taking the update via Kies. I haven't installed Knox but I am on the MK2 bootloader. I don't believe it prevents root access...

Hello !
I just updated to stock DDUEML4 (baseband : DDEMK1). Everything works fine but the downloading/odin mode displays Warranty Void : 1 which is probably because of KNOX I'm unable to find any solution on the web to go back to non-KNOX rom and remove the counter. Please help !

Yes its a KNOX counter. I read somewhere that downgrading the bootloader removes KNOW, but for now I'm not going to try that as I might even brick my phone

Yes I know.
There's a post by Dr.ketan to remove knox by downgrading the bootloader, but not sure whether it would work for my ddueml4 rom.
But I'm thinking to root and install a custom 4.3 rom.
Hi, I am looking for a thread on xda that is about knox and finding a way to reset the flash counter on the a5, so that I would be able to follow progression on that topic. I have been looking but I couldn't find one. Are developers working on that?

You can only replace the board to get knox back

Does that mean that it is certain that developers will never be able to find a way to reset knox like they did before on older galaxy's?

Do a research about the new knox. It.s an e-fuse. Once that bit is burn on the emmc, it can.t be erased
However there might be at some point a kernel which spoof Knox. This won't reset warrznty but you'll at least br able to use things like pay
Ok, I have been looking for knox and e fuse and I totally understand now. To bad it is done this way.
