Google Return Service, how was your experience? - Google Pixel XL Questions & Answers

My screen just flashes and won't turn on, so I called and got approved for a replacement, but they said the overall return time is between 10-14 days
Has anyone had to get a replacement from Google yet? If so, How was your experience with the whole process?

Currently working on getting a replacement from them. They're saying the same thing. Otherwise, customer support has been responsive. Though they are going to send a refurbished one instead of brand new even though I have to return mine due to a manufacturer defect :/

I got my replacement in 2 days. I just had to return mine within 14 days

Got a replacement for my wife's pixel. Talked to Google on Thursday evening had the phone Tuesday afternoon. Overall good experience.

Did you receive a new one ? Some list they received a new one in box with all accessories, then many others list bad experiences having to wait 4 weeks after they receive their phone and sending the refurbished replacement using smartpost or the slowest cheapest ship method.

i received mine in 2 days, brand new

Same here, I need to return it to Google, said my speaker crackles at high volume. So they bought it, now k have to turn this phone in, and most likely getting a refurbished one. Hope it works!

DailySteals.com $530.00 today only unlocked!!!

Today only, daily steals has the silver & white galaxy nexus phone unlocked and brand NEW! I and many other fellow xda members bought the phone last time DailySteals had the phone for sale and I can say that I am very happy with the phone! It came brand new and it works great for my tmobile service! The only problem with DailySteals is that they take awhile to ship the phone, but if you are patient, it will pay off!

My brother ordered the white one last night. How long did it take for you to get yours? From date of order to the day it arrived at your doorsteps.

I dont remember the exact days but about 2 weeks... Took about a week for them to ship it and about another one after it was shipped. It also matters when you bought it. If you were one of the first to buy it and got into the first batch, you will get it a little bit sooner!
Figures this would happen two days after I finally bite the bullet and just order through Negri after waiting a while for a deal to pop up somewhere.
Oh well, at least I will have it earlier.
Very nice find.
The site offers great deals, but customer service is practically non-existent. Your credit card will be charged immediately when you make a purchase, but the product might not ship for two weeks (which is what happened in my case so it took three weeks in total to get the product to my door). There is no number to call and don’t expect a reply to any emails you send them for two days, if at all. Know that all sales are final, so, if you are in the US and have a problem with a grey market product, which this phone is, you will have to ship it internationally to get it fixed.
Caveat emptor.
On it
I just bought a used one on craigslist last weekend for $500 so when I saw this last night I was a bit pissed off I didn't wait longer. I put a craigslist ad last night for $550 and had someone offer $600 this morning if I delivered it to him (20 mins away). I literally just deposited the money now and ordered this one for $530 brand new....a bit crazy but now I won't be OCD about my phone trying to figure out if any scratches were there before me.
Just pulled the trigger!
geez, I hope nothing goes wrong with my order. Looks like the customer service suck based on the comments.

I've noticed some bad feedback but I've also seen many people have no issues whatsoever. I think it's mostly people who get impatient and don't read the whole taking up to 6 business days to ship thing. Also, a lot of items are specifically stated as refurb where as these are said to be new in retail packaging. I read somewhere using paypal is a good move since you get the buyer protection if the item is broken etc.
My gut feeling says this deal is some cellphone reseller trying to clear it's stock and dailysteals will gather up a bulk orders and order a high volume from them at the end of the 24 hour period. So our money is used first to buy what we ordered and I'm assuming that's why it may take up to 6 business days to ship to us.
I purchased a new open box GN for $529 but returned it once I learned (after contacting Samsung) that the warranty is only valid if the receipt shows it was purchased in the country it will be repaired in. I was surprised as Samsung US never asked for my receipt when I sent my Nexus S in. Bought one from Negri instead so I have a warranty if anything goes wrong in the next 12 months.
i think that most sites like dailysteals and 1saleaday you are paying for the cheap price, not quick shipping and customer service
it sucks to wait and the tracking is usually terrible but the item does arrive eventually
I'd be all over this if I didn't have my extended battery which I need and would kill the white color .
Damn....

I'm already getting antsy...these are going to be two very long weeks waiting on the shipping.
No joke....these guys really do not update *ish
I had not received any updates emails. No wonder the service is bad.
Has anyone received their phone yet or at least see their status updated? Mine still says it's open and I was gonna give them a few more days before I start emailing them. I ordered mine very early in the sale so I hope that I got into the first batch.
All of us that ordered should keep this thread updated so we can hopefully get a rough idea of when we can expect our new phones

They posted it up at 9pm Pacific time and my brother ordered it at 9:15pm. I think he's one of the first to order it, but still hasn't received it yet. I'll keep you guys posted.
Does anyone know anyone who picked one of these up during a previous dailysteal sale?
I'm curious what build this will come with after reading multiple threads on the yakju vs yakjuxx builds.
Just so you know, DailySteals took a LONG time to ship on the first deal and I NEVER got a tracking email. However, I was able to track it by going to UPS's tracking website and using my order number as the reference number. Remember to select "Track by Reference".
The version I got from them was a South Korean model with the Google build on it. However, others reported getting one from China, so it depends what batch you get. I believe everyone I spoke with had the Google build on it.

I would give it 6 business days before you contact them. My status still says open as well (I check it way too much for my own good) but their site said the 6 business day thing with the occasional slight delay depending on the product. I ordered mine at 11am EST so I'm hoping I'll be on the first batch of shipping.
I'm going to try the order number with the UPS site as someone here has mentioned. Let's definitely post on this thread when we see any updates and/or receive our phones to give the rest of us a good idea of when to expect our goodies.

Price matching Google for Black Friday sell.

So me being the impatient person I am and ready to get back to Android from my old iPhone I purchased the 5x before black friday. I believe November 16th if I'm remembering right. Anyway of course when I saw that the phone I just bought was $80 cheaper I called Fi support and asked if I could price match or get a refund for the difference since I was still with my two week return period. I was happy to find out that apparently Fi is being super nice and automatically refunding the difference to buyers in the two week return period for the sale. The rep I talked with assured me that I'd be getting a refund and I'm just curious if any one else had any luck getting Fi support to refund you or did the rep just tell me yes to get me off the phone. In the follow up email she did explicitly state again I'd get a refund, I'm just curious if this seems legit or nah? It just was too easy lol. Anyone else have a similar scenario or know for sure if this is true or not?

I was also wondering
Also wondering if they are doing a price match? I got my phone about a month ago. I'd be pretty bummed if I spent $80 extra just to get my 5x a month early.

Uh Oh protection?

I was wondering if anyone here has used the uh oh protection?
If so, how long did it take to receive your phone?
I'm currently having problems with HTC
Called them up almost 2 weeks ago, I chose that credit card hold option, and I have yet to receive any info
I called them up today and they said they don't have any phones in stock to ship out
3 weeks ago I used uh oh, had to send mine in, 2 days to ship mine, overnighted it back. The second one took 3 weeks just to get it going, they have some in stock now, shipped today overnight.
Hey I've been going through the exact same thing. I opted for the credit card hold last monday and they finally emailed me today with the tracking details.
Got mine today. Totally new device, box, charger. Hopefully I don't find any defects

With what?
Mine came in as well and it doesn't look refurbished it seems new to me. The box was sealed, the phone was wrapped in the original plastic and the cable and charger are brand new.
I was able to trade my broken HTC10 for a brand new sealed one overnight with a credit card hold. So your phone will be as good as new within 48 hours. HTC really impressed me with their service in my experience, while the screen was a disappointment for not being storing enough.

My first experience went smoothly. The 2nd time was a total headache.
Why is the Uh Oh protection service only available in the US? Or has it been extended to the UK?

Return box/label or old device pick-up from Samsung.com

Did anyone who bought directly from them get a return box to send old N7 back yet?
Where do you live?
In the UK, at least, the UKMail driver who delivered the replacement unit took away the old one at the same time, in the bag that the new one came in.
I opted for the pickup. Received a call from a recycling company. Lady was very nice. I told her I can't schedule to pick it up until I get my new device. She understood and said she will call me back today. Good news is my replacement should be delivered today as well.
I'm in NY btw.
I'm in the US and I got my replacement yesterday. I called today and they said the boxes to return the old device would be shipped out next week.
Got a call from Stericycle to pickup my old device tomorrow.

Good to know, no refund for me until they get it back. Didn't want to wait so bought a replacement Note7 locally just as the whole process was beginning.
Got the box today but still no device yet.

Oh really? You bought it from Samsung.com?
Shoot, I've been calling those idiots many many times since they started the #galaxynote7 recalls. Every time when I called, they always says they'll be sending me the return shipping label. And I'm still waiting. Good thing I paid through paypal. I filled dispute charges. 10 days later NO respond from Samsung.com. Now Paypal refunded me back $925.43.
Bought mine from the Verizon on-line store, and had the replacement shipped to me as well. Received a txt from VZW earlier this week that a box w/return label was being shipped to me, and it arrived this morning.
I'm quite glad that I didn't take the risk of returning it to a VZW corporate store and potentially have to give up the accessories that came with the phone. The instructions were very clear that the phone itself is all that should be returned (you can view the instruction sheet in my post over in the VZW Note 7 Q&A forum).

My credit card bill is due next week. If no box received by then, I will also call my card and hold back payment. Better to have that money on my side till they get their sh**t together.
So I got the box today. Sending back for full refund. Interesting thing is the box has no provisions to send back any included accessories, only the phone itself. seem they mean for me to the keep charger, cable etc.
