Since Asus pulled the files off the web site, here they are. Use these files at your own risk. I'm not responsible for bricked devices, nuclear wars or spilled milk.
Since the .29/.26 firmware is available on the ASUS site, http://www.asus.com/Tablet/Transformer_Pad/ASUS_Transformer_Pad_TF300T/#download, I see no need to host those. The .17 is whats needed for root but only if you do NOT want to unlock your device.
US Files:

DE Files:
.17 https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B1ReSMcHudEDcVpCbGVCM0dDREk
WW users can use this to downgrade, root, but root isn't sticking for most people when they take the OTA to .26 and .29. Thanks to mr.niceguy76 for finding this file.
DE Convert to WW File:
https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B1ReSMcHudEDRzJZd2ctN3hWVFU
DE only-Use this first then use WW file.
Please note that if you manually update to .26/.29 you will lose root.
US and WW,
To downgrade from .26/.29 to .17 use method 2 in the guide found here. Make sure to thank wolf849.

For users that choose to unlock and install a custom recovery, the above information is obsolete. You now have the ability to flash the blob from ASUS (the second zip file in the download) "not the actual blob itself" in recovery and then flash the root package. This is much more convenient but voids your warranty.

i dont have them but i can tell u from experience that you can use the the US one the only thing that will be different are the standard apps and the version number
Sorry for the noob question but how do we manually update with the blob file?
I've been trying to pull the OTA update for a week with no luck.
It took me some time to find out, too.

Hi BierLiebHaber,
Did you used US blob for downgrade and root?
I thought from a test, that with a US blob there is no OTA working?
Using the DE .17 blob, gives me headaches because OTA wipes my VooDoo RootKeeper backup :-(
Sofar I found no way to root.
Cheers

Does anybody have the WW .17 file? I do not want to convert to US.
I'm uploading WW .26 and TW .26 files. I will post as soon as they are done. According to Asus, DE will use the the WW file. There is a convert file on the Asus website. I still don't have WW/TW .17 files.

Hi,
I have not heard from any DE user till now, to keep Root after OTA back to .26.
That mean that:
* downgrade with DE .17 worked (Wolf method 2)
* root SparkyRoot worked, protect root with Voodoo RootKeeper too
* OTA back to WW.26 (maybe that switch is special DE users?) after "Check update"
But in the end, no su-backup availble to restore Root with RootKeeper.
I'm interested if there are any "out of US" success stories, too!
cheers

Same here, rootkeeper did not keep my root after upgrading from DE.17 to DE.26
There is a new DE .26 file available from ASUS:
http://support.asus.de/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=de-de
Special upgrade file which is required for TF300T DE version units upgrade to WW version.
DE region’s users from now on are able to use the same firmware with WW version so we will no longer provide DE version firmware update file.

I am quite happy that no one managed to root unlockable phones. The only way to do that is to exploit a security hole. And if xda-devs can make use of it, people with bad intention maybe also could exploit a security weakness, for example by spreading modified apps in the play store.
So it's quite logical that all phone manufacturers try to keep the unlockable bootloader unlockable, except for their way to unlock it.
Thats why I don't buy phones from a carrier.

It's a pity that carriera are getting special firmware versions. Locked bootloader scares off many users, and many different firmwares slow down the update process for a new android version.

I lost root with the upgrade and am missing it alot .. Just wondering how kingo root method differs from doomlords method. Just wondering if rolling back to 4.2 journalists build try this kingo method that the other member used, and try update through companion again. How does ota differ from companion update?
Ota only updates certain system files, pc companion completely deletes system and writes it new.

Sup Guys!!
I'm with the same problem, ZL version with 10.4.B.0.569 (4.3), and wanting to root!!
There are some posts saying to just downgrade root then upgrade, some says the same but talks about "TA backup" and without it some phone funcions such as Bravia Engine stops work, and there's even the locked/unlockable boodloader.
How do i know which one of those is my boodloader ??
How do i make my "TA backup"?? What heapens if I don't do'it???
Why root?? There are a lot of bloatware that i can't remove and access some system files (restore data backup from some apps)
Sorry about the extensive post, but I'm new in Xperia "world"... Always used Samsung Cellphones (S -> S2 -> S3).
Unlocking your bootloader allows you to flash different kernels. On phones provided by carriers bootloader iften is locked, so you can't install a new kernel. Unfortunately, recovery is stored in the same partition, so installing a recovery doesn't work that easy with stock kernel. But NUT has developed a dual recovery that also seems to work with locked bootloader:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2567266
You can check if you can unlock your bootloader by dialing
*#*#service#*#*
in your dialing app. Service menu will open. Navigate to service info - configuration. There you can see if you can unlock your bootloader.
If you can do that, check out this thread before unlocking:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292598
With this tool you can save your TA partition, on whick your DRM keys arw stored. If you choose to lock your bootloader again, you can.use it to restore TA, so the bravia engine will work again.
Edit: you might want to check this, it's a good guide to get started:

Hello forum friends.
I just receive my P6 S. A friend from Huawei imported it directly from China. How can I extract the original Recovery image? I need a backup before trying other ROM options.
Getting root with e-root application was simple, fast and flawless.
This new version is awesome so far it seems that the new version includes all the HW enhancements that were needed. It now works perfectly, no more overheating, faster and newer CPU. My version has dual SIM support, one is 3G up to HSPA+ and the other one is just for 2G. It includes a USB cable that you can use to connect an external USB hard drive or USB stick.
From SW perspective, it came with Android 4.2.2 JB, kernel 3.0.8, stock ROM was B127 with EMUI 2.0. As soon as I connected the device to the Internet it did an OTA update to version B128. Google Apps support is not complete, you can install Google play store from the included app store and use your Google account but it won't synchronize your contacts into the stock contacts app.

Yes you need to flash a custom kernel based on 100% kernel or flash the original 100% kernel with twrp. Maybe you need to extract it from 100% firmware. I don't know how but it's the solution. Good luck

I found some chinese custom rom for the thing but its downloading with like 10kb/sec .. so next week ill know if that works.. =)
the story continues... now i have a chinese custom rom on the n9300 and its charging and all.. but gapps dont work =/

Google play services crash occasionally and after sign in i get booted out of the play store to reauthenticate. Im guessing there is some block in the chinese roms .. =/
So my only hope now is to flash a hongkong version again (which would return everything to stock.. means doin it all over again and take the kernel from that custom rom - with that the charging works at least. The older kernel from the old stock odin version didnt boot as I said.
Or any ideas on how to get the gapps running? Tried removing the play services in hopes that the store would just load it after setting up but then the store doesnt even open anymore =/...

Install the hongkong version, that comes with google play. If you cannot charge then you need to try to downgrade.
If you cannot downgrade with odin because its blocked then you need to download aurora chinese custom rom for n9300 (google is your friend for that) and extract the kernel (boot.img).
Unlock bootloader, flash twrp and then that kernel from the aurora rom (through twrp image flashing on boot partition).
If your device then does not boot into the system anymore because "you are using an old kernel" or something then you need to extract the system.img.ext4 of an older hongkong odin rom version and copy that onto the phone space.
With "simg2img" you can convert that system.img.ext4 to system.img in adb shell terminal and then as final step flash that with "dd" onto your system partition (should be sda21 iirc). then it should boot and charge when you get the right system and kernel combination.
Its not trivial so pls understand that if you cannot follow these steps or dont understand then you better shouldnt do it, or find some android expert to do it.
PS: If you dont need google play or wanna try to get that running on the chinese version (also has all languages, but no google and some chinese crapware) you can just try and flash that aurora custom rom for n9300.
Here's the link to the chinese custom rom for n9300 with fixed kernel:

Hi, I have an unlocked H815-EUR that bootlooped last summer under warranty. I sent it for repair and got it back in August. Since then, I didn't received any update. I'm on v20g-EUR-XX, and when I check if an update is available, the message says "not yet updated". Now, I wonder if they locked the updates as part of the repair, because before the bootloop issue, I was receiving updates regularly. I also tried with LG bridge but no updates available...

I wouldn't say we're locked out of the updates, but something 'smells'. My original g4 (h815) bootlooped and MB was replaced. It came with 20g software, and as I was not happy with battery , I downgraded to 20d. Now when I check for updates it says I'm using the latest version. Latest my a**. I know I got updated from 20d to 20e on my original g4.
