Someone used anu kind of selfie stick? And what kind of model?
seriously?
I didnt expect such question on XDA forum...
But without laughing from that question, I can say, that: ANY selfi-stick will work with ANY device, including P9.
Starting from cheap Chinese ones for 2Euro ending in Carbon-fiber Porsche branding stick(yes, you can get such thin, Porsche is well known from branding every possible gadget, even snow sled for kids...)
All those selfi stick use minijack connector for camera trigger button, rest is cheap telescopic pipe with phone handle... its not space technology...
It is a little bit of science here.I have a low cost selfie stick but it doesent release the sutter on my huawei p9 and my girlfriends p9 lite,or the iphone 6 thru the jack.
Then you bought the wrong one. Should've tested it.

I was in the market for a new watch and figured that I may as well check out Android Wear. After reviewing and looking into all of the Android Wear watches currently available, I was torn between the Fossil Q Founder and the Huawei Watch. I ended up going with the Fossil because I figured it would be more future proof with the Intel Atom processor and 1GB of ram. I also read an article by Android Police on the Fossil Q Founder that stated it had an internal speaker for future use. (Which, it does not!) I did like the design and overall look of the Fossil. However, it was pretty huge and it didn't fit / feel right on my wrist at all and was too bulky. This, the flat tire, and the fact that it doesn't have the speaker was just too much. So I decided to return it. I should have went with my first choice, which was the Huawei Watch.
I ordered the stainless steel / black leather Huawei Watch from BH Photo Video for $309 on Dec 22nd. They gave me free overnight shipping and do not charge sales tax, which is awesome. I received it the next day. It is kind of my Christmas present to myself. (The Fossil was suppose to be) I love it! It is much nicer than the Fossil. The display is better, the steel finish looks nicer, and even the leather band seems nicer / higher quality than the one on the Fossil. It fits me perfect and feels awesome on my wrist. I prefer a larger watch face and the Huawei Watch is perfect for me. It's not to big, yet not to small. I love that it has the speaker for future use as well.
I thought I would post this for people who are thinking about getting the Huawei Watch but are also looking at the Fossil Q Founder. As someone who originally purchased the Fossil and had it in person, trust me. Get the Huawei. It is so much nicer in every way. If you browse around you can find the leather band version for around $300, only $25 more than the Fossil with the leather band. I went with the Fossil originally because I thought it would be more future proof but the fact that it does not have a speaker destroys that concept in my opinion.
Huawei watch is the best looking smart watch on the market right now. No if or buts about it. I have had the black one for a month now and have gotten tons of compliments.
I just love it and can't wait to see what they are going to do with the 2nd generation.

FYI, the Huawei Watch was designed by a Swiss certified Horologist (named Ben Norton) who has 50 credited designs and has worked for both Armani and (ironically) Fossil.
With his design input, a sapphire crystal display and a cold-forged stainless steel unibody frame, there really is no other choice in the sub $1000 Smartwatch category. After Huawei, there is TAG. Nothing else comes close in premium design and feel.

Thank you for the info. I definitely never knew all of this. I am really liking this watch. It looks and feels much more premium than the Fossil Q Founder. I should have known better. I mean, I would never buy a cheap Fossil analog watch, so why would their smartwatch be any more premium? Oh well.... it's gone now.
What do you think about the LG Urbane? I did look at that one as well. It does appear more premium than the Asus and Motorola offerings. I did like the design, but not as much as the Huawei and when I tried it on at Best Buy though it didn't feel right.

The leather band of LG Urbane is very low quality. I suggest you to get to one shop and feel in on hand. Huawei is doing well on their first smartwatch, nice looking and very comfortable band.

I tried on the Urbane at Best Buy. It does not feel right at all. It is too "long" or "tall". Hard to explain, but feels awkward on my wrist. I am glad I ended up with the Huawei. To me, it is the best smartwatch available. I obviously base this on opinion of design and facts of hardware. (Sapphire Crystal, Cold Forged Stainless Steel) I did check out the Tag online. It does look pretty sweet, but definitely more sporty looking. Don't get me wrong I would definitely wear it, but I honestly prefer the design of the Huawei over the Tag. Also, if I am going to spend $1500+ on a watch, it is definitely going to be a nice analog watch that is not going to turn into "old gen" or "outdated tech".

I've owned the LG G Watch, LG Urbane, and now the Huawei watch (since it launched in September). The Urbane is awkward as you said; its very tall with a smaller display, and the feel isn't great. The Huawei Watch I have with the SS Milanese band feels significantly better. I've owned my Huawei Watch for what seems like a long time now, and I don't regret it at all. The AMOLED display is great, and I really like the brushed SS sides and polished front. The only thing that would make it better is if it had a rotating bezel like Samsung's Gear S2 does. I've used the Gear S2, and the only nice thing about it is the bezel, everything else is meh. I also tried the Moto 360 gen 2, and the LCD display/flat tore ruin it for me. My Huawei Watch gets mistaken for a real watch on a daily basis, so it's funny to watch peoples reaction when they see that it's a smart watch.
Ok, I have got myself an L1 - didnt have money for a premium device as I always tend to buy top phone, so I went with the reviews to buy a budget phone with a big screen and not a single review was in favor of L1
That is completely shi*. As soon as I entered the store, I realized L1 is 3x better than other similar phones. The biggest problem reviews are saying with L1 is that it doesnt have fingerprint sensor, compared to Motorola G5 and other similar price-range phones, completely disregarding the fact that this phone is miles, years and eons in front of all other manufacturers when it comes to design and quality. Something HTC had back in the day, premium build quality
First of all - If finger print sensor is so god-damn important than you are a girl with nude selfies. I had several Huawei devices with best finger-print make and not once did I activate that stuff, I dont even lock my phone so I dont get what the big fuss is
L1 >
- superb screen. (who ever says they see individual pixels at 267 PPI should get punched in the face)
- Better camera quality compared to ANY mid-range price device.
- Phenomenal build you would find in only premium phones, excluding the slightly thicker body.
- one of the best plastic finishes on plastic-body phones, ever
- guaranteed harder body than 99.9% phones ever made (if there is one phone you will hope survived 3 floors fall, it's this one)
- has Mediatek MT6737T which is really OK chipset, slightly slower CPU than Snapdragon 801, sligthly stronger GPU (snapdragon 801 is stronger than J7 2017 exynos SoC, for example)
- Sony has really tried on this one, to tone down the big chin-forehead bezel on it's design (74% screen to body ratio)
- exactly due to 720p and MTK chipset, 2620 Maph battery holds really really good, charges fast even though stock charger is 1A (I didnt even try the quick charge with 2A)
- a really simple solution to make phone not-slippery: make plastic rough but somehow matte so it looks great
- USB C on such a device, looking forward
Downsides:
- no earbuds ? seriously Sony ? you are the earbud people, japanese people, and you dont putt even those stock-shi* earphones ?
- no screen protector out-of-the-box, just that lame transparent thin shi* that falls off immediately
- my device needs force to plug-in USB-C, nothing big but noticeable
- poor choice of accessories compared to beaten-to-death HTC who makes those fancy cover-thingies with holes n' shi* even for budget phones , you need to up your game Sony
In my opinion, in this price range, there is no better device than L1. I dont care about fingerprint, my points of interest are phenomenal big screen, sturdy and quality build and lack of stupid design stuff on the phone you are surely gonna damage (like those frames with thin lines and glossy finish on Samsungs you are destined to chip, break, or damage) - this phone is great and you should buy it
Samsung stereo headset works 100%.
You can use screen protector for LG G4 even it looks weird.
I prefer type C because it has OTG support out of the box.
Other than the case, I can use all accessories on hand with no problem.
i got earbuds with mine, they are not great but not terrible but it hurts ears if you use it for a while.
My issue with the L1 is that too many apps wont transfer to my SD and of the ones that do there a too many that wont update while they're on the SD
Hay I'm planning to buy this phone
What can you tell me about speakers?
Is voice noisy or disorted?
Can you post some photos of your cameras?
Thank you
This device uses MEDIATEK chip. Can we use MTK Tool with it?

Thanks for that you just made my day
I 100% Agree :good:
The entire Range of Sony/MediaTek devices M5, C4, C5, XA, XA1, L1, E5 and variants of are/were Awesome value for money and If I had the cash I would buy them all !!
Build quality is fantastic through out the range and you get Sony aftercare at the price of a obscure china import phone It's a no brainer to me.
The mediatek naysayer's/haters here on xda are usually noob's who never built anything ever and read old topics from ten years ago then spout the same old garbage (so annoying )

Along with the XA XA1 they're a steal too :good:
Just looking at the L1 now Manufacturer Refurbished with 12 months Warranty "A1" condition and Sim Free £69
Similar deals on the XA and XA1 too but I really want the XA1 Ultra
Hi,
so i want to buy a new phone with a price around 400€.
It has to have an oled display, 80%+ screen to body, and a relatively good camera.
Wireless charging and headphone jack would be nice.
I do not really care about a notch (to be honest dont understand why it bothers ppl because you can ture it off) and a micro sd slot.
This two phones seem kinda similar also the ratings do.
What would you choose?
I also considered the lg v30 but i dont feel like it can hold up to this two. Oh and if the OP6 should drop to 400-450 i'll absolutly take it because it is clearly better but i dont think this is gonna happen too soon
Thanks
only depends when you want or not root and mos your phone
because with rooting the 5T is better in every single aspect
except that the mate 10 has a louder speaker

Timely updates (including security) and community support (longer software support)? = OnePlus
Huawei is miles behind in this matter. But if you don't care about security, new software features and optimizations, then from a hardware point of view Mate 10 Pro seems better.
My daily driver is a oneplus 6t and the mate 20 x has caught my eye. Seen it on loads of YouTube videos. Only thing I am not sure about is the software emui coming from oneplus device. I can take the size and guess it will be better speakers, battery and camera compared to oneplus but how's the software.
Anyone else agree?
Been doing that past couple of days. Forum is dead on this device. This device if I purchased would be my very first Huawei device. Smartphonesfan looks like you have used a lot of different Huawei devices

I was looking at the Honor note 10 but it doesn't have the LTE band support for Canada. Ended up with the Mate 20 X and it is a very nice phone(except for the price!).
I always buy flagship phones, and this is my favourite. The stock launcher is great, and very fast, there's a couple of uninstallable bits of bloat. The camera, screen and speakers are really good. I use it heavily and still get over 2 days of battery. It flies with games and the Gamepad for it is kinda awesome. Its one of the few remaining flagships with a headphone port. For peace of mind I would have preferred ip68 water resistance and wireless charging but you don't have to charge it for long to get back up to 100% which mitigates that somewhat. The Official cases are great and sturdy. I have an unofficial clear view style purple case too, but it's loose fitting. It's a disappointment they don't accept micro sd cards, it's also a shame it doesn't do 4k 60fps (it only does 4k 30fps).
That's all I can think of currently.

Agreed, 4k is pointless for viewing on any phone but not so if you take your recording and view it on a big screen.

4k TV, yes, obviously need that. Most of us with a home cinema use hard drives. My screen is 3.7m.
considering the fact that there is no android for mate 30 series , would you consider going for it ?
No, I'm in the US and need google apps for work
Im in Denmark Europe and YEESSSS Thx, cant wait.
But even Trumpy boy Saying our Prime minister is NASTY (who is nasty here lol), i would love try out something new Instead of Android and Google, so bring it on.
But to be honest, it will not come in the near future i think.

i might be in germany in the next 3 months and sure would like to try sth new but hopefully they can get the most famous apps to work weather by making deals with developers or sideloading from android
but as you said it would definitely take time, i cat wait to see what they got for the mate 30 series
the mate 20x is really a gem for those who want the best in a massive screen
Yeah, sad that this crap is happening to Huawei. I like their phone designs and where else can I get a 7"+ phablet? Sigh, but I do a lot with Google Play.
Not good that a platform is used against a manufacturer..
I doubt id get any device with Emui on it regardless of Google or not. This OS is a major learning curve for me and sometimes makes my brain bleed.

Harmony is not an option right now. Nor it is Mate 30x. It may come later (next year) if Huawei recognizes that it has potential.
But for now, I think that Huawei will put all its hopes into Mate 30, 30 pro and X. All of them will likely come with some Android and without GPS.
None of the three anticipated phones is my option. I simply can't jump from Mate 20 X to the phone of ordinary size, battery, and extremely curved screen besides. And 30 pro appears ugly to me with that obsolete notch and double camera ring (one ring, shaped as Motorola's would be amazing though). I'm not much a selfie guy, don't need and believe in face unlock, and I hardly wait for a phone with underscreen selfie camera.
I don't like folding phones of any known design either. It looks like poor technical solution to me and besides soft folding screens will be prone to be extremely scratch sensitive and there is no way to protect them. They are simply massive for a phone and useless for a computer. And is yet to be seen how durable is the folding mechanism.
My plan is to keep Mate 20x as long as to the end of the next year if needed and see what is coming around. It is to be upgraded to Q and till next fall it will be good enough.
And the new Huawei without GPS could be my option only if I can unlock bootloader and root it. Otherwise, I'd look elsewhere. And big screen with huge battery are something to look for.

I feel exactly and 100% like you, cant downgrade screen size at all... Never,
I still miss my zenfone 3 ultra, i wish m20x had the same size to, could be dope if it had 16:6 format.
