We are still on 4.4.4 and the world has move to 7.0
So far their are no rom even 6.0 based.
I see some lower grade phone with 6.1 based rom like LYF.
Anyway i very happy with my C4, it was one the best phone by MMX.
I still have an A120 clone with stock. But I'm having trouble looking for its stock rom online. Just want to flash it since it's getting super slow.
I have wiko stairway clone canvas4 A210 i tested on it all stock or custom rom, he work fin, i changed a touch screen and back speaker, now i have a problem, i cant use camera!!! mybe kernel problem, or cosed by disassamly and assamly more than 10 TIME
Hey guys....
The world has moved on and this chipset has a maximum limit of Kitkat 4.4.4 and not further than that as Mediatek hasnt released sources for this chipset otherwise you will see a flood of roms by now.. I have moved on the LYF and enjoying 7.1.2 now.. How about you...
In the meantime, im trying to provide updates of some of the roms.. Lollipop is a dropped idea from most of the source developers.. so we are unable to port it for you...
Greetings...
Kannan
I had the worest experience with LYF phone.
Now i use it as wifi only.
C4 still rock.
My C4 fell in the water bucket. I took of the battery out, put the phone in rice jar for 2 days. Soft hot air pump the phone. Woola my phone still lives.

Guys i have held back for long , need your honest opinion about the latest update,so far everywhere i see , there a lot of compliants about bugs in general , wanted to know is it really worth to update to lollipop my major concern is battery,
also is it possible to take the backup of current ROM with its exact state if so how do i do that
I personally used lollipop for a month after it came out and well I was not satisfied with it. The html5 video player will buffer on the best of connections, I am assuming a chipset issue there. I flashed all custom ROMs available for the ROM to get a fix for the issue but could not. Battery life is decent but is quite a lot better in kitkat especially with proper closed modules to optimize it. I would not recommend it and no you can't take a back up of your kitkat ROM to get back to it from lollipop. Although you can go back to kitkat via a method displayed on the xda forums. This is just my view tho. Other users might have some other experiences.
I have Eclipse v7 atm and I dont like it honestly , my phone gets sleep of death when I listen to spotify , and TouchWiz is meeh
In this context, I'd like to add the question how fast and performant Android 6 is to the usual 4.x Note 2 ROMs. I've been using ancient PAC-MAN for years and of course the bugs in it will never get fixed (last update ~2014). Is Android 6 faster than 4.x on the Note 2? How much battery does it use, with and without the Doze feature? Does Doze work great on the Note 2?

I sure think Android 6 is faster , simply because its vanilla . Doze is working iirc but idk how good or bad ^^
I've been running MoKee's 6.0.1 ROM for a couple months, and love it. I don't do nightlies, but official, semi-tested releases are put out every week or two. The later releases have worked really well. I also like some of the nerd-friendly features that it has. My phone had major issues before I installed MoKee, so I can't say how much of the significant speed-up was due to 6.0.1 and how much was due to just having a fresh install.
Alas, the internal storage on my Note 2 has finally given up the ghost (even TWRP can't see it), so I'm upgrading to a Note 4. I haven't decided yet whether I'll simply root the stock ROM or install MoKee on it.

I suppose that's i605 only, not n7100.

I had a lovely SDS failure that Samsung fortunately fixed nicely for me, giving me a fixed mainboard and pre-KNOX FW. Good guy Samsung.

I was running on an SPH-L900 (Sprint). It looks like MoKee doesn't officially support the n7100.

What's an SDS? I'm guessing they won't do that on a 3.5-yr-old phone that's seen several custom ROMs and a custom recovery. Mine's not exactly warranty material.
Samsung Sudden Death is the eMMc chips on various phones like the Note 2 (but maybe just n7100 and the like) deciding to die, like the mainboard stops working. I don't remember if the internal memory "dying" is one of the major things that happen there. Been a while....
I don't even remember if I got this fixed as a warranty thing or because of a construction error that they have to fix irrespective of warranty. In Europe we have relatively nice laws about that.
Indeed it appears that AICP is the most stable, if one follows the correct installation as explained in the thread (AICP, AGNi non-smdk, GApps if desired (Slim zero/mini), clear dalvik/cache & reboot, first boot without data connection/logging in, then reboot again from launcher). Only a few things don't work (like SD as internal storage) and no real annoyances.
Ok, so I hate asking this question but I need to update from my S4 because I want a better camera, and faster CPU so I can't try the roms directly
I am looking at the Note 4 or Galaxy S5. Unfortunately the S5 looks like it has more active support, but I really want a Note 4 because of the better hardware (basically everything, UHS Storage, more RAM, CPU, bigger battery, Optical Stabilization...)
What ROMs are you all running as a daily driver? I've been searching and it doesn't look like there are a ton of super stable ROM's in active support like with the S5
I prefer AOSP but stability is most important to me (having a fully functional phone). My least favorite thing in the world is when my GPS stops working right when I need to take a turn in chaotic traffic

I ain't gonna get into a whole Rom comparison story, again. But i will state this. The N4 is an awesome phone, straight up, nothing compares to it. I just bought another one. But as it is aging, development on it is slowing down, But there are a handful of great devs still here with amazing work. I use to also like aosp for its lean state but i would have to say touchwiz is less error prone. Only my opinion though!
I can't compare it with the s5 development , never looked there.
Came from a s5... No regrets.
Note 4 is superior.
Thanks for responding fellas.
Are you both running the stock Samsung firmware??
I dont know if I can handle TouchWiz, but at the same time I don't think I can give up the Note 4 hardware (over the s5).
I think I'm going to pick one up and play with it. If none of the AOSP roms is stable enough for me, I'll stick with a model TouchWiz rom or go back to stock. I'll update this when I figure out that part!
EDIT:
Well shoot - I managed to snag an S5 for $60 on ebay - sight un-seen. From one of those larger used phone re-sellers
Probably half as cheap but I am going to sorely miss OSS from the Note 4, increased battery, quick charge, and UHS storage. I figure I can sell my S4 off, and upgrade to a Note 4 in the future.
Good news is that Lineage OS is officially supported on the Sprint S5, ASOP is a huge reason that I love Android (and kind of loathe Samsung)
I have a Sprint Note 4 for sale for $150. Combined with the OBAR Rom and a ZeroLemon 10,000 mah battery this phone is a tank. Mine just ate dirt after I updated it to 6.0.1. DO NOT UPDATE. Two days after the update I got EMMC error (Nand died) and now anyone else I speak to about the 6.0.1 update killed their phone. I bought two Note 4's and put OBAR back on it. No issues and everything runs fast and smooth.

Hell I have updated, and down graded my phone numerous times, and phone still rock solid.. I went back to 5.1.1 because it is faster, battery life can't be beat, plus you do not have to give permission each time you install a app.. Also I can get rid of all Sprint bloat ware without using a 3rd party app. I also like the square icons rather than the rounded, and the icon size is perfect.

Asked in another thread, hoping tha can help with this....
Have modembase pg1 with mm.
Tha_Dynasty.... Thoughts on if heading over to hybrid 3.0 will have an impact on signal reliability?
Came from s5 and I keep getting dropped signals... In places where I didn't have an issue before.
Tha... Any thoughts?

Well PG1 is MM (6.0) so if you wanna stay on it id look for a MM rom
how ever Hybrid 3.0 is LP (5.1) and yes my signal is much better on 5.1 than 6.0 but each phone is different
but for me hybrid is perfect no random reboots and been using it as a daily driver for a lil more than a full year
and it plays nice with xposed... can help if you need it.
the op will have the necessary steps to revert back to 5.1 if need be :good:

Im running the ultimate note 7 hybrid Rom 6.1
Lately it's been seeming sluggish
You all still think 5.1 is fastest or most stable combination?

I was on 6 with my Note 4 and Note edge. I cant downgrade from Marshmallow on the Edge, so I went back to the 4 since you go all the way back to kit kat. Note 4 + 5.1.1 + Hybrid Rom + xposed = happiness

Not at all if you are using any custom roms
They are far more better than the poorly developed stock zui
For beginning, use aicp or rr latest?
Just go for them and choose yourself which one suites you Cheers!
I'm using stock ROM since last 10 days on my new Zuk Z2, and the device doesn't heart up. It does get warm while charging, and also when using some heavy apps, but never in regular condition. Please check if you are using any unnecessary heavy app, check the network condition (bad network signal results in heating) etc.
Mine also runs quite warm... Stock room from vendor, not rooted yet. When running YouTube in the background it gets pretty hot.
In my experience some roms are hotter tha others for example I am now on viper and no issues at all with the hot
Hello guys im litle nostalgic and i do not wana change my HTC 10 im HTC user from the very begining with HD diamond HD HD2 and so on now im with HTC 10 from long time i dont upgrade to any new HTC device because of the Unibody change i hate this glass stuffs and right now my HTC 10 is still good phone i dont need a brand new because none of the latest flagships has the same visual appealing to me of course the new models everytime will have better and better specs it is normal but nobody of them have the design the feel in hand of the HTC 10
my simple question is.
As i wana use it for a daily driver what is the recomended OREO rom to use?
Im with US unlocked S off version with Nougat viper 5.1.1 fine the phone works great but with the time the new softwares and apps that i want doesnt work as i wish for example for a daily driver i need a good camera like Gcam but the problem is that the latest and most improved Gcam builds are working under Oreo and Above and im starting to miss this.
of course there are Gcam ports runing on Nougat but they are so outdated and laggy.
Im thinking of the following to flash the Oreo latest Firmware and latest US Unlocked OREO ROM and after this im stopt... since no further development and many developers stop working on that device i dont have idea what OREO ROM is best for daily driver stable and solid i dont mind to be Sense or not anyway im using NOVA launcer all the time..
just daily stable OREO ROM in order to be able to try some of the latest Oreo Gcam ports.
WHat do you recomend.?
Thanks in advance
I think i am right that the most updated sense rom is Leedroid sense rom. All the sense oreo roms are stable but i feel that Leedroid has just that little bit more to offer.
I use leedroid as daily driver and have no issues
Can't give feedback about Aosp or LOS as i never used them.
Using a used 10 i picked up on swappa from one of our members here. The battery life is around 85% but I have been using this thing as my daily driver since July. I'm on sprint so I went the bad boys 8.0 route and then jumped to LOS as soon as fagyi had it uploaded. Now I am running AOiSP 9.0 without any problems since the day after it was released. Battery life is amazing with this thing as long as you keep the kernel under thermal governor. It was overheating while streaming audio via bluetooth for some strange reason before. I am also using one of the Gcam ports with night vision and such and it works somewhat sometimes as its buggy and crashes. The pics it takes in low light are awesome though at night when it does work. For my audio mod I use Viper Xhifi loaded via magisk. I am super happy with this device I picked up for a fraction of the original price not too long ago, put a screen protector and case on it for $15 and even tossed jcase the loot for the sunshine. If you go the aosip route, it includes the LOS camera and gapps built into the system so you only have to flash one file after you wipe. Stock camera works great for pics on the regular. Also as an FYI, Fagyi still working active dev on this device and with last LOS update not too long ago. Pie is good and he may be working on whatever comes next in his spare time.
Still using mine. Can't seem to move away from it
Hell yea man. HTC10 is a great phone... Best phone made in 2016 i'd say. I'm running Android 9.0 via LineageOS w/ GApps. Few minor tweaks like greenify and adaway and kernel aiuditor and busybox and titaniun backup, which all you need root for. I flashed the most forked Android 9.0 of LineageOS for PME, running US unlocked firmware, S-OFF. Phone runs like a champ.
