true, altough it consumes less ram, i cant notic any difference between kitkat and mm other than battery life, being worse on 4.4.4

4.4.4 or 4.4.2

I recieved my phone last week and did the update then root and twrp. I see that some roms are 4.4.4 but my phone still says 4.4.2 .. Why is this ? Was the update I did not to go from 4.4.2 to 4.4.4? Is there 4.4.4 out now for G3? I am with TMO
There are two different types of roms for our phone, Stock(LG) and AOSP(cyanogenmod, deviantxone, etc). Your likely on the LG stock rom, which at the moment is only 4.4.2 . AOSP based roms are on 4.4.4

Not unless you load a custom rom based off aosp 4.4.4. There is currently no lg g3 on stock 4.4.4. Lg will likely skip 4.4.4 and go right to 5.0 or at least that's my hopes they will.

One can only hope, more likely they will just announce another phone that will launch with 5.0. What I am holding out for its our aosp roms to get Bluetooth and camera before I switch to one of them as my daily.

[Q] are D855 3gb and D855 2gb devices identical?

Hi guys,
I have recently upgraded from D855 2gb to D855 3gb device. Are they identical and can i use the rom built for 2gb rom on 3gb? I am already on lollipop and not rooted so will the process of downgrading to 4.4 , rooting and then installing custom rom (lollipop) work?
I am on v20b and its causing a lot of battery drain. Is this version buggy?

V20F is the latest official rom and has some patches and optimisations. For customs roms there is no difference wether you flash it on the 2 or 3GB ram device. It does matter for stock roms though afaik since there are 16 and 32GB rom versions.

Some custom roms have different versions for 3gb and 2gb models(liquidsmooth) as well as custom kernel built with sm4.8/4.9.

Stock Lollipop-->4.4.4 based ROM [possible?]

Hello guys!
I own an HTC ONE M8 [non rooted- just stock] and I have updated my device to Lollipop 5.0.1 via OTA. Unfortunately, since Xposed is currently working under beta conditions, I want to downgrade to 4.4.4 to use the "full power" of my device So my plan is to:
1. root and unlock the bootloader of my HTC [currently on stock Lollipop 5.0.1]
2. Download and flash a ROM based on KitKat 4.4.4
3. Install Xposed and all the goodies it supports [Amplify, Greenify etc]
Is my plan possible?
Thanks in advance!!
Yes ...
That's not really downgrade, it just install 4.4.4 custom ROM, so your plan should work

So, a downgrade would be returning to stock Sense 4.4.4, right? I am not interested in that.
I just want to flash a custom rom, based on 4.4.4. If that is possible with the steps I plan to follow, then OK
Yes
If I want to return to stock 4.4.4 from Lollipop, do I still need to root the phone? The phone worked perfectly well before the Lollipop update, I really regret updating, I see no benefits whatsoever and lots of problems.

Yes. You either have to root, or gain S-Off and run a 4.4.4 RUU.

[Q] Is there a way to update my Note 4 DE to OS 5?

But I don't want to lose the unlocked bootloader.
Running 4.4.4 now but would like to go to 5. if possible.
Is there a straightforward way to do this?
I would wait for a more stable L 5.1.1 OS. L 5.0.1 is full of bugs.

Morom.......super stable, no bugs, fast, and an incredibly responsive Dev. Follow the op.

Downgrade from 6.0 to 4.4.4 kitkat.

How to downgrade my M8 to kitkat? Is totally stock, no root, no bootloader, etc.

You can't downgrade a stock device. You need at least an unlocked bootloader, and possibly s-off ($25 by sunshine app) depending on exactly what you want or mean by "downgrade" (flashing a 4.4.4 ROM versus full firmware/RUU downgrade, etc.).
I would somewhat question the motivation for going through all that, to install an OS version that is obsolete by 2 years, and therefore also missing a lot of security updates (and leaving you open to vulnerabilities).
I've downgraded to 4.4.4 AHRD 22.2 ROM because, for me ,the battery life is the best vs. 6.0 ROMs and some 4.4.4 roms also. I've tried many times to life together in peace with MM versiones (LP no words) and, I don't know if I'm the only one who have this detail of the battery, but I'd prefer a Kitkat. When I go to Marshmallow I have to do Greenify, Amplify guides to get 5% more of batt and is awkward.

Is that the latest version of ARHD ? If so , could you please share a personal link for downloading . I'd really like to downgrade to 4.4.4 battery life and heating are my concern. Phone with basic use and by this I mean using whatsapp or browser and gets hot as I was watching videos maybe.

The "latest" version ARHD is much past 4.4.4 (Android 6, MM). But the ARHD thread conventiently has a link to the 4.4.4 version. Just take 1 minute to look for the Android Revolution HD thread in the Development section, and you'll find what you are asking for.
