How to downgrade my M8 to kitkat? Is totally stock, no root, no bootloader, etc.

You can't downgrade a stock device. You need at least an unlocked bootloader, and possibly s-off ($25 by sunshine app) depending on exactly what you want or mean by "downgrade" (flashing a 4.4.4 ROM versus full firmware/RUU downgrade, etc.).
I would somewhat question the motivation for going through all that, to install an OS version that is obsolete by 2 years, and therefore also missing a lot of security updates (and leaving you open to vulnerabilities).
I've downgraded to 4.4.4 AHRD 22.2 ROM because, for me ,the battery life is the best vs. 6.0 ROMs and some 4.4.4 roms also. I've tried many times to life together in peace with MM versiones (LP no words) and, I don't know if I'm the only one who have this detail of the battery, but I'd prefer a Kitkat. When I go to Marshmallow I have to do Greenify, Amplify guides to get 5% more of batt and is awkward.

Is that the latest version of ARHD ? If so , could you please share a personal link for downloading . I'd really like to downgrade to 4.4.4 battery life and heating are my concern. Phone with basic use and by this I mean using whatsapp or browser and gets hot as I was watching videos maybe.

The "latest" version ARHD is much past 4.4.4 (Android 6, MM). But the ARHD thread conventiently has a link to the 4.4.4 version. Just take 1 minute to look for the Android Revolution HD thread in the Development section, and you'll find what you are asking for.

Hello guys!
I own an HTC ONE M8 [non rooted- just stock] and I have updated my device to Lollipop 5.0.1 via OTA. Unfortunately, since Xposed is currently working under beta conditions, I want to downgrade to 4.4.4 to use the "full power" of my device So my plan is to:
1. root and unlock the bootloader of my HTC [currently on stock Lollipop 5.0.1]
2. Download and flash a ROM based on KitKat 4.4.4
3. Install Xposed and all the goodies it supports [Amplify, Greenify etc]
Is my plan possible?
Thanks in advance!!
Yes ...
That's not really downgrade, it just install 4.4.4 custom ROM, so your plan should work

So, a downgrade would be returning to stock Sense 4.4.4, right? I am not interested in that.
I just want to flash a custom rom, based on 4.4.4. If that is possible with the steps I plan to follow, then OK
Yes
If I want to return to stock 4.4.4 from Lollipop, do I still need to root the phone? The phone worked perfectly well before the Lollipop update, I really regret updating, I see no benefits whatsoever and lots of problems.

Yes. You either have to root, or gain S-Off and run a 4.4.4 RUU.
Hey guys, My dad is willing to update his LG G4'S version (Currently running Lollipop), I do understand a thing or two in rooting, custom roms and recoverys , however, I own a galaxy s6 - it has no AOSP Roms, only stock based. and my father is used to his phone as it is, I don't think flashing cyanogenmod will be a good idea, he likes the functions LG added and stuff like that( Yeah, I don't understand it too ). Are there any good MM stock based roms?
Thanks and sorry for my English
Cant u just ota official mm?
If not, what variant does he have? not all roms can be flashed.

Sorry for not mentioning - H815, Also, what is the newest official MM version (carrier-free)? I don't have any OTA's in my place currently unfortunately.
I use the stock MM ROM ver 20D listed in Android Development section, and it is lightning fast and smooth!

Well good news, you got the bootloader unlockable variant!
To be honest anything with H815 in it is what you can do.
You can flash stock MM (I'd reccomend v20h its located in the general section)
You can flash cm13,
Be free little birdy!
First let me say that I am brand spanking new to these forums. I've some experience rooting before, but it has been years... Last phone I had rooted was the HTC Evo 3D (I still have that cool sonfa) which was years ago. Been out of the loop as far as things go. I decided to mess around with my old Note 4 (it's really not that old, I love this beast), so here I am. I've unlocked the bootloader and confirmed that it's rooted via root checker, but it's still in the stock 5.0.1 firmware... BORING... So I want to install a custom ROM and debloat this thing... I do have some general questions.
1) Any links to safely upgrading my note4 from 5.0.1 to 5.1.1 ? (not even sure if this is necessary, you'll see what I'm getting at later in this post)
2) Bootloader is unlocked, phone is rooted, that's it... Do I need to flash a new kernel before trying to flash a custom ROM? Again, are they version specific as to what android I'm using?
3) ROM's and Firmware... I see ROM's listed here that have 6.0.1 next to them, does that mean that I need Android 6.0.1 to install this ROM?
Example: [ROM] [6.0.1] [UNOFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 13.0 [Jul 24, 2016]
That's basically all my Q's, thanks again for any help/guidance I can get here.
Pretty much as the title states, is it worth updating to marshmallow from kitkat? My phone has been running incredibly slow, and maybe it's time for a factory reset but should I just update to marshmallow? Thanks for your feedback.
My wife's Note 4 is having serious battery issues since it updated to Android M (as are others according to posts here) so I would recommend holding off until it is patched.
im trying to figure out how to upgrade from version 4.4.4 to marshmallow. I'm rooted. is there a way to upgrade without unroot?

kitkat is still the best.. its faster
Just flash normal 7.1.1 rom. Kitkat is not faster

true, altough it consumes less ram, i cant notic any difference between kitkat and mm other than battery life, being worse on 4.4.4
