Hi guys,
I have recently upgraded from D855 2gb to D855 3gb device. Are they identical and can i use the rom built for 2gb rom on 3gb? I am already on lollipop and not rooted so will the process of downgrading to 4.4 , rooting and then installing custom rom (lollipop) work?
I am on v20b and its causing a lot of battery drain. Is this version buggy?

V20F is the latest official rom and has some patches and optimisations. For customs roms there is no difference wether you flash it on the 2 or 3GB ram device. It does matter for stock roms though afaik since there are 16 and 32GB rom versions.

Some custom roms have different versions for 3gb and 2gb models(liquidsmooth) as well as custom kernel built with sm4.8/4.9.

I just bought a G Pad and I have rooted it and installed TWRP. I want to install a custom rom but I am not sure which ones are compatible with my device. My software version is v50010a. I see lots of roms for v50020a or v50020b. Are these roms compatible with my device? Sorry for the noob question.

After you install a custom recovery, you can flashing any custom rom, provided it is compatible with the device model (V500 or V510).)

The difference between 20a and 20b stock is just region b in North America and GB, a everywhere else. 20b has the same external SD card issues as 20a ... you need to use the built in File Manager app to get around the issue.
External Sd card issue
The issue of the sd card, is due to the new rules and restrictions that google has introduced in the kitkat.
hi
i am looking for lg g3 855. but got to know that 16gb g3 has 2gb ram while 32gb g3 has 3 gb ram.
my question the roms available in LG G# androd dev section they supported both 16gb and 32gb or i need to flash different different roms for both models.
2gb ram or 3gb ram does not matter for me. i will choose the model which has more custom roms.

There is no difference. All roms - both official and and custom - work on both 16/2 and 32/3.

Hi there!
Just got myself a "LG G3 Gold 16gb" in mint condition. It´s just been rooted by me and I´m about to install TWRP and after that a Custom ROM.
My question is simple... LGE LG D855... the international one, are the 16 gb and 32 gb versions the same regarding custom ROM´s? I just want to be sure, so that I don´t mess anything up.
yes, 32gb and 16gb same custom rom installer, but different in stock rom installer ( .kdz ) imo

Hey guys, My dad is willing to update his LG G4'S version (Currently running Lollipop), I do understand a thing or two in rooting, custom roms and recoverys , however, I own a galaxy s6 - it has no AOSP Roms, only stock based. and my father is used to his phone as it is, I don't think flashing cyanogenmod will be a good idea, he likes the functions LG added and stuff like that( Yeah, I don't understand it too ). Are there any good MM stock based roms?
Thanks and sorry for my English
Cant u just ota official mm?
If not, what variant does he have? not all roms can be flashed.

Sorry for not mentioning - H815, Also, what is the newest official MM version (carrier-free)? I don't have any OTA's in my place currently unfortunately.
I use the stock MM ROM ver 20D listed in Android Development section, and it is lightning fast and smooth!

Well good news, you got the bootloader unlockable variant!
To be honest anything with H815 in it is what you can do.
You can flash stock MM (I'd reccomend v20h its located in the general section)
You can flash cm13,
Be free little birdy!
im trying to figure out how to upgrade from version 4.4.4 to marshmallow. I'm rooted. is there a way to upgrade without unroot?

true, altough it consumes less ram, i cant notic any difference between kitkat and mm other than battery life, being worse on 4.4.4
