can't jailbreak windows rt on samsung ativ tab

Hi all,
I ended up downloading all the versions of the RT Jailbreak tool but still haven't succeeded to jailbreak windows RT on my Samsung Ativ Tab.
Any idea what could be the problem?
When I press volume down, it crashes and displays the blue screen with the REFERENCE_BY_POINTER error.
I installed all the updates, gave it about one to two minutes each time I ran it but still couldn't jailbreak.
I even restored the tab to factory settings but the jailbreak tool still fails.
Anyone who has done it on the ativ tab?

Jailbreak? Do you mean trying to get past the required purchase of Windows? That sort of thing is not allowed on this site.
What exactly is "jailbreak" for an RT?

No, it's not that at all.
It's a way to allow for running programs compiled for ARM that are not signed by Microsoft directly. Without a jailbreak, you can only run apps that have the Microsoft signing.
There's a big thread about the jailbreak, and then apps that have been recompiled but aren't signed by MS so they require the jailbreak to run.
RT Jailbreak Tool
Desktop Apps Ported to RT
OP should ask in the RT jailbreak thread.

I have a Samsung ATIV Tablet and AFAIK, all ATIV tabs run the Intel Clovertrail - that is an x86 machine - is the OP sure that he even has RT. ATIV comes with Windows 8

There are some that run RT. I think the Tab's are the ones that run RT, the ATIV Smart are the ones that run x86.

Confused on ability on Windows RT

Ok so I am a little confused on this can someone please explain to me if I can run any other apps or software on my Lumina 2520 Tablet 8.1 besides Windows RT ? A was almost positive I could but now I see that I may of been misunderstanding.
Windows RT is an operating system. The version that comes on the Lumia 2520 is Windows RT 8.1. You cannot run any other OS on the Lumia 2520 at this time.
WinRT is an API used to create apps that run on Windows 8, Windows RT, and Windows Phone 8. These apps are commonly called "Metro" or "Modern" apps.
*At this time* there is no published way to run non-Modern software on RT 8.1, which means no way to do so on a Lumia 2520. Windows RT 8.0 has a working "jailbreak: hack that removes the restriction against third-party "desktop" software, although programs still need to be able to run on ARM processors (which usually requires rebuilding them from source code). There is a jailbreak for RT 8.1 coming, but I cannot offer any information on when it will be available. Even when it is, you will still only be able to use a small subset of the software available for x86 Windows.

Installing Neverware/CloudReady Chrome OS on Surface RT

If you guys haven't heart about it: neverware.com
I have already installed it on old laptops. I wonder if I can do the same for the Surface RT? Is it possible through hacking, etc.?

Only if it has support for ARM. We don't even have secure boot unlocked yet, so this isn't even close to possible until then. why don't you work on getting the secure boot unlocked? or work on porting apps to RT 8.1

Windows 10 iot working on Windows RT
I was doing some searching the other day and came across a post on twitter where someone has managed to install Windows 10 iot for the Raspberry PI onto a Windows RT. Not sure if this is old news but, was thinking this could open some doors for progression on a fully working windows 10 rom.

Full Windows 10 on Windows RT devices - Now Possible?

So, Microsoft just announced Windows 10 on ARM. But not just some stripped down, Windows Phone/RT variant, like W10M. This is full Windows 10.
It also has support for the full x86 win32 library of applications, with some emulation magic that they put in, which appears to run blazingly fast somehow.
What an incredible feat this emulation is.
But my question is: What does this mean for us, Windows RT users?
I want to put this in the Windows RT Development and Hacking section, but I haven't made enough posts n stuff
Nothing at all. The announcement is Windows 10 for ARM64, which is of no use to Windows RT devices, that use 32-bit ARM v7.
I am hoping this will mean a new non-Pro Surface with Windows 10 ARM will be coming. But yeah, nothing for Windows RT devices.

Shame. But is there a possible way that we could maybe make it run? How different is the architecture? How hard would it be? Would they make an edition for ARM32?
Our WinRT tablets are finished with when it comes to any further work.

Could Windows 10 come to RT Devices?

Microsoft just announced Windows 10 S, a version of Windows based that's focused on Security and Speed. This version of Windows can't run .exe app, but can run things on the Windows Store. With this newer Windows 10 S, would It be hard for them to port it over to the older ARMv7 because there are alot more Windows 10 Store apps than there are Windows 8 store apps, and it might actually make me get a Surface 2 for on the side stuff.
Its possible Win10S will get ported and someone will figure out how to upgrade our RT devices with it..
But not yet as far as I can tell. Although someone got Win10 iOT with some work on the RT systems.
Possibly yes: https://www.theregister.co.uk/AMP/2017/06/23/windows_10_leak/
Isn't windows 10 S only for arm64? Windows RT devices are 32-bit arm
