After a long phone call, about 20 minutes or more, my diamond was too hot and suddenly died. I was using v1.09.25.23 radio, and the latest GR rom cooked by swtos... Im not able to hard reset it, or enter the bootloader. the battery is able to charge. when i turn it on, the device is ON for about 4 seconds and turns off again. is it bricked? any ideas?
imho i think the battery died
bootloader = NOT bricked

Going on what information you've supplied regards how the diamond's acting m8 I'd have to agree with him there, it sounds like your battery is'nt holding a charge.
If the phone turns on normally then switches off after a few seconds it's more than likely a power issue.
Try a DIFFERENT battery (even a mad cheap ass'd 1 off of ebay if you can't get a hold of 1 elsewhere, 5 euros ) before you do anything else.
If the OTHER battery acts the same after it's fully charged then you may have a probem with your diamond's power stage (that heat you mentioned might have caused damage) & you might have to deal with returning it to warranty etc...
Hope this helps & GOOD luck
thanx guys! after all night charging i managed to enter the bootloader!
It's alive!
Hi people . I'm desperate.
I have a Tab S T800 and i still did not know what happened .

I appreciate all the help.... and i already looked on the forum for solutions...i didn't found one at least that works...
Thank you all.
Sorry for my bad english...i'm Brazilian.
Nhave you plugged it into a wall charger for a good hour before trying to turn it on? Make sure battery has some charge.

Try home+power+vol up+vol down and hold it for 1-2 minutes or until something happens? Try it also while it's plugged in.

Does it still connect to a PC? If so you can back up all your data if it still connects

It's attached, but not connected...if you know what i mean...
Pc didn't recognize the tablet... Tablet is completely dead.
Which of the steps suggested have you tried? in terms of holding the power + vol up + home button?

1. Home + Vol up + Power.
2. Home + Vol down + power
3. Home + Vol down and Vol up + power.
4. Menu Touch button + Power.
And i did all this connected on PC, Disconnected, Connected on a original Wall Charger and on a parallel wall charger.
Do you even get the noise on the pc to detect that something is connected?

Hi Gustavo,
Sorry I'm new member but may be able to help you with this.
I had a similar experience with my son's tab 3 kid's edition last year.
It just died and wouldn't turn on. I tried everything but no luck. I then decided to take the tablet back to samsung store and packed it. I was suppose to go the store 2 days later but after 48 hours of device dying I just thought of trying to turn it on and plugged it in to the wall charger.
To my surprise display came on showing red battery icon and after 30 mins approx, device showed green battery icon still charging. after roughly 10 hours I turned the device on and it works flawlessly since then.
Hope this helps.

Hi! Thanks for the help! But before i make this topic i waited for 3 days to put tablet on a charger.... nothing happened =/ But i'm gonna try again!
I had a similar problem.
Do you know how to separate the screen from the body? I found that the connector at the base of battery was very loose. I managed to push it down and it turned on right after.
Hope this helps!
Whilst I agree it could be a loose connector, it would void your warranty. I would see about going to your local samsung repair centre and see if they can have a look without wiping.
This happend to my 8.4 last week, no way to revive but i can feel warm at the back while doing all the first aid trix but no luck. So i decided to bring it to the nearest samsung store w/repair service they remove the back cover and battery, they told me they just ¿¿refresh start?? the battery? because it was drained!!?? wtf i remeber i left it with 30% charge... but anyway they fixd it in less than an hour. But yesterday the symptom returnd again i have to power+down+home just to turn it on :/
Plug in the charger then press power + vol down (not up). Hold for a good while until it restarts.
If it doesn't then it could be hardware related.
With so many people reporting battery problems, you might just have a bad battery and that's why it gets hot when connected to a charger. *I* would open it and check the battery's connection and maybe even replace the battery.
I saw some videos...but i don't want to void warranty :/

I'm gonna try this... but
How much is this "good while" ?
HeLLo , please be cool english isn't my mother language...
nexus 7 2013 . 16GIG WIFI
As it's my son's nexus i don't really know what was happened.
But he doesn't have the age to perform rom updating and this sort of things
As Nexus stayed blank, i thought it was battery , i change it without help.
when i put it in charge nothing happend. no white led nothing no screen
i tried the power + vol - reset ... nothing.
The only thing that i think it isn't completly dead, when i connect the device to Win7, a device appear in ports under device manager
forge hs-usb QDloader 9800 on port com 9
Any idea ?
thanks
Did you press power button for about 20 seconds?
Yes i try 60 sec , 30 sec alone ., power + minus button ... nothing better

Any reaction during charge: increase of temperature of charger and/or Nexus?
I changed the battery. the new one was charged / i had checked the 5V output .
do you mean that i had to check if the charger temperature is raising during charge ?
It seems that your Logic Board ( = the board with the RAM, SOC etc. ) is fried. The good news is, 16GB boards are still easy to obtain and also easy to replace.
Ebay still has plenty of those while 32GB boards are harder to get.
Thanks you .
Do you know how i can be sure of diagnostic ?
Hi all,
My LG G4 doesn't turn on anymore even while I am charging it..
I am actually travelling, I suspect it does come from a high voltage when I tried to charge it in a bus.
At the beggining I tried to put the battery off the phone, first the screen with logo for few seconds and after black screen. Now only black screen.
When I try to charge it , nothing happens.
1st question : do you think that a hight voltage can break any other spare parts of the phone ? Do you think the battery can be a fusible ?
Where I am , I didn t find a LG selling point so I cannot try with another battery for now.
My phone is not under warranty anymore.
Do you think that this troube can be repaired in a common repair service center ? ( not LG )
Any advice except waiting to find another battery ?
Thank you guys !

The simplist thing to do is check if the battery is charged and working. Check the serial number on the back and reply with the first 3 digits here. It is likely that you have faulty phone that needs to be fixed by LG (if it is still in warranty)
If you're sure your phone isn't a faulty model, try to enter recovery mode.
1. Hold down the power and volume down button together.
2. If the LG logo appears, continue holding the volume down button but let go of the power button for 1 second. Then hold it again.
If you get to a recovery menu, there is hope.

Thank for your reply.
With my current battery (as I still didn't have the opportunity to try to change it) , I can't even power it on (no logo even while try to enter recovery mode)
I will try with a new battery and let you know !
Problem with this phone the new update xiaomi original rom / kernel discharge battery to 0.00 V ( i measured it with multimeter ) and you cant charge phone and thats why you cant turn on this phone anymore .
But i found the fix
Steps :
1 . Just dissasembly the phone
2 . Remove the battery from motherboard
3 . From backside of motherboard remove metal plates from the chips the CPU heat that side for 2-3 minutes with hair dryer when you dont have heating gun ( I was inspired using hair dryer in times of iPhone 4S wifi / signal problem )
4 . Put every parts back with battery plugged on motherboard
5 . Put the charger to your Poco M3 and turn it on
6 . You are done let phone charge to 100 % and remove that crappy Xiaomi ROM named MIUI and install any rom what you like .
I know its stupid fix but its working . I dont know its permamently damaged IC charge chip / CPU chip because of kernel / rom new update but its works for me fine for now .
Update : you need change PMI632 902-00 chip and it will fix you this problem
so after doing this you can reboot or have it shutdown lets say using a custom rom?
Hi. I encountered this problem with my phone but I don’t have the skills and the equipment to disassemble my phone so I tried other solutions.
I wait for days until the battery is completely discharged. When I plug it to charge, the screen turns on again and it begins charging again, initially showing an empty battery icon. Before unplugging, I check the battery percentage. If it’s at 10%, I wait for the screen to turn off again and then unplug the charger. The screen turns on again and I press the power button and my phone is alive again. These specific steps are important as well as timing. I had failed a few times so I had to wait for the battery to discharge again to retry. Hope this helps someone else.
But I have another question and I hope it’s ok to ask here. Is this a hardware problem? I was thinking it was a software problem so I was planning to root my phone hoping to not encounter this problem of my phone suddenly not turning on.
