Hello,
I have upgraded my OOS (the stock one) from 3.2.6 to 3.2.8. when I had 3.2.6 I had rooted and I installed ElementalX kernel. Then I underclocked CPU to 1,7ghz with kernel adiutor (big) and 1,2ghz (little). The problem is that after I installed new version and successfully rooted and installed ElementalX I am not able to go more than 1,7 and 1,2ghz. I also tried more apps but they say me that this is maximum. Thank you very, much for answers and sorry for my English. Happy New year!

Stop it with your spam... Anyways I am not sure how that's possible, try deleting all the kernel apps, reinstalling the kernel and in the aroma, check the max frequency as 2265mhz and 1728mhz (so overclocked) and that should fix your issue

You changed 2 things, the ROM and the radio, so in principle it could be either. With these symptoms I'd think it more likely to be the ROM, or the kernel, than the radio. Could also depend on other settings, e.g. if you are overclocking. Different handsets have different tolerances for some tweaks.

Its caused by overheating. Do you use SetCPU to overclock?
Contact HTC Support, unroot your Phone and send it in.

Yeah but you changed your System a lot.
A new radio or the Kernel that ships with RCmixHD maybe uses more battery (=more heat).
Try this: install SetCPU, set governor to performance maybe overclock a bit, watch youtube videos and play games so your phone heats up. If it reboots switch ROM and Kernel back to a Stock ROM and do everthing again. If the Stock ROM doesnt reboot you should stick with it.

Features:
De-bloated, Rooted, BusyBox installed, Deodexed, Zipaligned, Sqlite3 binary, smoother interface, better RAM management, full kernel control (install Kernel Adiutor from Playstore), improved internet/data speed, tweaked read/write from memory. GPS accuracy improved.
Notes:
Just download the Asus apps you need from the Playstore. Download Asus Weather for the Lockscreen Clock.
As this is stock based, kernel CPU is still controlled by default Power Manager app, so set it to Performance to maximize CPU speeds.
If you want more control in tweaking this ROM, I recommend flashing ABS Tweaks v5.0, just make sure to delete everything in the init.d folder before flashing. ABS Tweaks thread is here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software-hacking/tweak-arkaynine-boost-script-v3-0-t3120404
Instructions:
You must be on Marshmallow firmware with TWRP installed to flash this ROM.
Back up your current rom, check Boot, Aboot, System, Data in TWRP/Backup.
Clean install required. Wipe Cache/Dalvik/Data in TWRP.
Flash Rom zip.
Initial boot may take longer than usual, normally 8-10 mins.
Once phone boots and you complete setting up, download, install and run Uni-init.apk to activate init.d support, then reboot to activate tweaks.

Sir you're also from the Philippines right?
Btw is this rom got some major bugs etc? Does off charging work?
Im currently using the RR official rom running nougat 7.1.1
How can I change to this rom? Should I reflashed the stock recovery and then flash stock rom from asus before flashing twrp again then flash this rom?
Or can I flash this directly from twrp while on RR nougat rom? Thanks in advance
since CleanMax is stock based, the bugs from the Lineage based roms are not present, so no offline charging bug. coming from a Lineage based rom, you just have to do a clean wipe before flashing this on TWRP.
Need to flashing Reaper Kernel ?
it's entirely up to you, flash Reaper or keep stock kernel. no problems with either
I did flash this coming from RR rom
Cant download any app at playstore (using wifi)
Higher ram usage than RR even there is nothing other app installed yet?
I did not flash any kernel just did follow all the instruction before I flash the rom zip file from the dl link
Did I do something wrong? Or it needs some tweaking before I can use it to its optimum performance/battery usage?

Do any one use this rom?
on Stock Rom, i cant set CPU speed to maximum when charging? How to fix it?
Stock kernel will always reset to default clock speed

Wow. thanks. I want to try this now.

Update: Flashed from MM stock and I've got bootlooped. Or may be it's because my stock MM is already on bootloop?
Flashed it on my device with absolutely no problems and it works as intended. I was previously using RR nougat ROM and I had no problem installing this after wiping everything in recovery except external storage (which contained the cleanMAX rom zip). Been using it for about a day and I`m pleased with the performance. Animations and system run smoothly and I haven`t encountered any errors or bugs yet. Ram usually sits at about 50-60% on casual use which is more than better for my taste. As for the battery, I can only say that it handles well so far. Installed the ROM this morning when battery was 90%, now it`s almost 8 pm and battery is at 70% having in mind I constantly used it for texting and installing my necesary apps. I figure I`d probably need a couple more days to see how the really battery performs. But overall for now I personally really like this rom, thank you creator!

Hi, I tried to run antutu and geekbench benchmarks on Oreo and it seems really slow comparing to what a 5x should be.
You can see that my scores are definitely lower than the other benchmarks:
My score: 284-641
Nexus 5x: 984-2162
And you can surely see the performance issue on daily use.
I'm running stock oreo rooted with elementalX kernel. With franco kernel was even worse.
Can someone upload a Geekbench benchmark in similar conditions?
Thanks,
Mauro.
Fresh score from Geekbench
851 - 2177
Stock Oreo with October security patch, elementalX with default stock settings, Magisk with few modules enabled.
Try to reboot into recovery, clear cache partition and run the test again. Let us know if it changed anything

Hey Mysiak, tried that but nothing changed, I hard resetting the phone coming from Android 7 to install 8 and root the phone so I don't think it's a Rom problem
Hi Zuk fans,
I just bought Zuk z2, two days ago. I heard like, there are heading issues with this phone. So I would like to under clock the phone. Currently, I'm on 7.o stock..
My question....
1) can I under clock CPU to 1.9 on stock ROM? If yes, how to do that and plz let me know the process and what all required for this.
2) I would like to downgrade to 6.0 as this enables 24 bit dac on our device. So, how to downgrade on a locked and non rooted phone???
3) is there any custom kernel that supports stock OS???
This information might help other new users as well...
Thanks

2) Use QFIL and flash 2.3.042 (China) or 2.0.133 (India).
3) As I know there are no custom kernels which will work on stock.

You can root without any problems.
Don't know anything about underclock, because I don't interested in such operations.

You can use kernel audiutor to underclock
@srihari210 seems that jaguar kernel is working on stock rom, although it wasn't supposed to, but with some limitations, as you can see in this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74071330&postcount=296
i hadn't used the stock rom for much time, but you can try to root it (with magisk maybe, i don't know) and set cpu frequencies with kernel adiutor
good luck
But my device don't have any heating issue? It runs on stock frequency 2.15.

What about heavy gaming??? I think it's safe to have 1.9 Freq....
Just got the ota for the global stable oreo update, is it any good? does it have any bugs?
I got a message "updater process ended with error :7" can't in stall OTA.
That means that ROM is not for your phone for whatever reason. Your only option is to flash the firmware with mi flash tool.

I've done update to lastest 10.1.10.OAGMIFI ROM after flash new recovery (TWRP 3.2.3). But I don't recommend it.
8.0 ROM is worst then 7.0., XPOSED made bootloops, TWRP BACKUP is not working properly and stopped working completly so I had to FLASH ZCX-TWR again, do FACTORY RESET (because partition was ENCRYPTED) and flash stable 10.1.1.0 NAGMIFI 7.0 again with Magisk 18 and Xposed 89.
I have been uısing 8.0 for a while now. Performance wise its quite good, no havent encountred any bugs (except for fingerprint when I lock my screen while playing games. Most likely because of ram). The main issue is battary life is quite bad compared to 7.0 due to disabled throttling. Yes the cpu does not throttle like the previous miui roms so it can reach 2.15 GHZ and there are no overheating issues. If you are not playing a lot of games like me you would feel happy about this rom I think. If you play games, depending on your priority (battary vs performance) you could again love this rom.
The phone still throttles, as expected. You can easily test this with the app "CPU Throttling Test".
I'm happy with 8.0, because I can now (finally) use AptX with my Bluetooth headphones with vastly improved audio quality.
In my case the battery time remained the same, compared to MIUI9 roms.
My phone is not rooted or anything.
