G4 loses network\imei upon reboot - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Phone hasn't been blocked. Infact as long as i don't reboot I can use the phone without issue. As soon as I reboot though I have no network and imei is null. Connecting to a power cable and rebooting solves the issue (imei is corrected, signal restored upon reboot as long as connected to power supply whole time during reboot).
I used lgup to flash back to stock Europe OPEN H81510D.kdz (i have h815 internatonal: presume this is correct firmware) but hasn't resolved the issue and when I sent the phone back to where I bought it they returned the phone back to me saying the software had been tampered with.
Have I got a dead phone or is there any way to recover it?

I have the same problem. After update software on my cell to V20G. Phone lose signal and IMEI number error. Any Help?

Doing a hard reset fixed mine. Wiped everything inc sdcard though

AT&T Xperia Ion Malfunctioning

I had rooted my phone about a year ago when I got a different phone and about a month ago I had unrooted it with a app the unroots android before I took it to get it activated and everything was fine till about a week ago when I factory reseted my phone and it has been:
1. The sim card is not being recognized ( I've tried the sim card in a different phone and it works. )
2. When I try to search for a mobile network it says cannot find any network
3. The phone occasionally freezes to the point where I have to do the force restart thing.
4. The IMEI number is blank when I dial *#06#
5. The WiFi gets stuck on "obtaining ip address" ( tried 3 different networks. )
Does anyone know whats wrong or how to fix it?
I will screenshot the service menu or anything else on the phone if needed?
Additional info:
1. Bootloader unlock: no
2. The device has never been flashed.

LG G4 Bootloop issue

I got my LG G4 from Verizon about a year ago. In January, my phone shut itself off and got stuck in a bootloop, just showing the LG screen then resetting. My boyfriend was able to get it to turn back on using the USB debug mode but he's now in Asia until June. I came back from a long trip to find that that no longer works. I downloaded SDK and tried doing a reboot again and it still just reloops the LG screen. The phone is running stock firmware, bootloader hasn't been tampered with, and no attempts to unlock or root the phone have ever been made. Is there anything else I can do before resorting to the factory reset? If I can't fix it, is there a way to get the data onto a drive before resetting it?

Bootloop - contacts backup

Hi everyone
I'm running out of ideas, maybe someone here will be able to give me a hand.
I have a D855 on stock rom (marshmallow), no root (it used to be rooted on LP, but I guess the update to MM 6 months ago disabled it, right?)
Right after turning the wifi on, my phone rebooted by itself, started ok and I was able to use it normally.
The next day, same thing happened, but this time it couldn't reach the lock screen : I'm stuck in bootloop, right back to the LG Logo after it "optimizes app 52 to 52" and "Android is starting".
The phone is still on warranty, but I'd like to backup my contacts (and maybe texts) before droping the phone there.
(I tought sync with my google account was on, but apparently it's not the case, and I lost the 2 last years of contacts...)
I can access the reset factory mode (not an option for the moment since I'd like to backup)
I can access the download mode : I did a Normal Flash with a MM stock rom through LG Flash Tool 2014, flash succeeded but same bootloop problem at the end.
I can access the phone while in download mode via "LG Mobile Support Tool". I tried the "recovery after error" option, it downloaded the last KDZ (I guess) + flashed the phone, but same bootloop problem occurs at the end.
I guess there is a wifi hardware problem which causes the reboot. Is there any possibility to switch off the wifi module before start up? Maybe if wifi module is off, I will be able to turn it on and do a quick backup...
Or, is it still possible to flash a recovery system so I can do a nandroid backup and try to get the infos I need from that? (thought I think I need to be rooted to do so, and don't think I can since the bootloop problem)
Thanks for reading, and hopefully someone will have an idea
I tried with a new batteur today : still bootlopping...

LG G3 (Resolved Bootloop Problem Upon Installing Andriod Update) (ANDRIOD 6.0.0)

Good After Noon,
Recently LG Released a new android update, (6.0.0) The phone will send you a prompt that says. "ANDRIOD UPDATE 6.0.0"
Before I get into explaining this major issue I'm going to give you guys a run through on what android updates go through before it finally reaches your device.
Lets begin. The update is developed by android, then this update has to go through several inspections before it can be sent off to the service providers.
Once the update passes all of its required inspections it is sent out to each phone brand, HTC, SAMSUNG, LG, & so on and so forth, once the phone brands receives
the update, they edit the released android update to fit there devices expectations. Once each phone brand completes editions, then they send the updates to each service provider
that sells there phone brand, that's a lot of sending.
Now the major issue!
Hopefully you have read everything mentioned above to help you understand the cause of the Bootloop.
The way you could tell if the bootloop issue was caused by the update is if the bootloop started occurring shortly after updating to 6.0.0, & if your reading this because you are experiencing bootloop issues at this moment after doing the update then try this method to see if the phone will completely boot, Just simply plug you phone into the wall charger, now once you do this if the LG G3 comes out of bootloop and boots up normally then the culprit was the update, now to be sure if the update was the culprit, just simply unplug your LG G3 from the charger, now if it goes back into a non-stop bootloop. the Update was your culprit!
The reason this bootloop happened is because the android update 6.0.0 had a major corrupted file, how did this corrupted file end up in the update, well it's pretty simple, once the update was sent to the phone brand (LG) they went in and edited the update to there likings and at some point in that process they miscoded a file or wrote over a file which in result caused the phone to bootloop, Which tells me that the file that was miscoded or wrote over could have possibly been the file that prompts the phone to boot up, the boot up process takes the most power usage then any other process a phone is able to do, which means the phone will pull power from the battery until all files have been successfully complete, if the file is corrupted then the phone will boot until it receives the corrupted file then it will shut down and keep repeating that process, then the battery gets a memory and all it know to do is boot reboot boot reboot, which is known as bootloop. the way to fix this problem is to order a replacement battery, then the phone will boot normally. just be sure before putting the new battery in, plug the phone in the wall while still using the bad battery, backup all of your, and do a factory reset, this will put the phone back to normal and it will delete the corrupted file, the phone will work perfect. I put money on it.

S7 active lost my Imei when my phone crashed during ordinary restart

Dear People,
I have lost my IMEI number. Only if I look in download mode I can view my IMEI. My phone runs with everything except that it doesn't connect to a network anymore. It started yesterday suddenly when I restarted my phone because I thought my phone needed a fresh restart. During boot it crashed halfway during the samsung logo, playing an alarming sound then rebooting again and slowly restarting.
I tried factory reset and flashing the nougat version I have (from forum here) with odin 3.11 again. Went to samsung stand at bestbuy and they couldn't help me either. Because I bought it second hand I cant rely on warranty even though it would be valid.
Does anybody know a way to restore the IMEI? I don't have a backup of the efs or anything I wasn't flashing roms I was checking facebook in firefox.
Anyway any tips appreciated!
get an octopus box, that is what I have and it sails right on through bad imei, no imei, frp lock, all that.
about 300 dollars
