I had rooted my phone about a year ago when I got a different phone and about a month ago I had unrooted it with a app the unroots android before I took it to get it activated and everything was fine till about a week ago when I factory reseted my phone and it has been:
1. The sim card is not being recognized ( I've tried the sim card in a different phone and it works. )
2. When I try to search for a mobile network it says cannot find any network
3. The phone occasionally freezes to the point where I have to do the force restart thing.
4. The IMEI number is blank when I dial *#06#
5. The WiFi gets stuck on "obtaining ip address" ( tried 3 different networks. )
Does anyone know whats wrong or how to fix it?
I will screenshot the service menu or anything else on the phone if needed?
Additional info:
1. Bootloader unlock: no
2. The device has never been flashed.

hi all
ive just bought a second hand note 2 (gt n7105) on the 3 network
ive already requested an unlock code which 3 sent but it doesn't work all I get is unlock unsuccessful when I enter the code even after a factory reset
so I went down the ebay route of buying the code (which turned out to be the same one 3 sent me) and a unfreeze code
entered both still no luck, im still getting the sim network unlock prompt after a reboot but still no mension of a freeze message so im guessing its not hardlocked yet? although ive tried numerous times now to no avail
when I bought the phone I couldn't update "OTA" it said phone is modified or something and when I checked the about phone it said custom
I did notice there was an app called super su on the phone but didn't work when I tried to open it, at thispoint I didn't know what it was as ive never bothered to try and root or mess with a phone. I downloaded Samsung kies and basicly restored the phone (was already on 4.3) now the about phone bit says official but the weird thing is when I factory reset the phone the language was in german? (phone bought from Birmingham England)
im not sure what else I can do to get it unlocked properly without having to hack the phone somehow
is this a common issue? or fixable?
appologies if this has been covered but im going around in circles with it and 3 and Samsung are bloody useless
Download this, boot to recovery (turn on with power, vol up and home pressed), factory reset, boot to download more ( as before but vol down), flash rom through odin (plenty of guides out there), then you will be on a uk three stock rom.
Unlock code may work then, but my guess is it won't.

Hello, I believe I soft bricked my SGH-T889. I was attempting to install CyanogenMod on it using the install app via Windows 8.1. However, somewhere in the middle of the installation, I think it was attempting to install the recovery, and next thing I know when I look back to check, the application on my PC said that CM could not talk to my phone. I then noticed I was stuck on the screen with Cid and a white background. Nothing else!
So, I took out the battery and then attempted to boot into recovery, my result is Cid and the white background screen. I then attempted to boot up the phone, my result was Cid and the white background screen. I then booted into Download Mode, and attempted to flash the root66_TMO_T889UVUCMK7_2.tar.md5 to go back to stock rooted, however, Odin3 3.07 is not recognizing the phone when I plug in the USB cable. I do not get the "Added!" message anywhere. It has always worked before.. please help me! I'm stuck with a phone that cannot do anything but show the blue Cid android.
I so regret flashing the ROM through TWRP. If anyone can provide assistance, it would be most appreciated!
Also, when I boot the phone, there is a red LED that flashes once. What does that mean??
Well what do you know, Odin finally recognized my phone, and the "added!" message in the box appeared. I guess it was because I plugged into the different USB port on my PC , and I went into download mode, and Odin recognized my device. I was then able to flash the root66 4.3 firmware. Problem solved on my own. Now I may flash it again, but this time using TWRP.
But, now let's see what happens. I was only wanting to flash this ROM to see if I have a signal on my phone, because I haven't since I flashed DN4 LTE v2 ROM and the Addon v1.1 (without rebooting) and I have absolutely no signal, not even on stock.. anyone know what's wrong?
EDIT: Okay, T889 is running on root66 4.3 stock firmware. However, I do not have a signal. Status bar is showing a white circle with cross. Baseband version is T889UVUCMK7. Network is unknown, signal strength is -113 dBm 0 asu, mobile network type is unknown, service state is out of service, mobile network state is disconnected. My IMEI is showing correctly. Why don't I have a signal? I'm searching everything on XDA.. and yes, my SIM is inserted correctly, and airplane mode is off. I wonder if this phone SIM reader is dead.. that cannot be the case. Also, when I insert my SIM into my Galaxy S3, it works perfectly fine. So the SIM card is not dead. What should I do?
EDIT2: Went into Settings > Mobile networks, and searched for available networks. Tapped on T-Mobile, and nothing. I scrolled down the status bar and now I get "selected network (T-Mobile) not available" can anyone please help me?
EDIT3: I just reset the binary counter to 0, and the status is official in Download Mode. Flashed stock T889UVUCMK7_T889TMBCMK7_T889UVUCMK7_HOME.tar.md5, and still no service and signal. I'm going to attempt to use a different SIM card later during the day, if that doesn't work, I'm completely out of options. If anyone can provide assistance for me, that would be most appreciated. Thanks.
No longer accepting any solutions, problem is fixed.
Hello,
Yesterday, my LG G3 (D885, international version) phone has started to claim that it has no service and "Service disabled", just all of a sudden. I had a stock rom when it happend.
I tried to verify whether it was sim that was burned out or IMEI that got erased but IMEI is not null and my sim card is working on other phones, while other sim cards does not work on mine.
Important to mention that WiFi does works perfectly and it just could not get any signals from mobile network (0 dBm)
At that time, I rooted that phone and installed BlissROM and then Cyanogenmod to verify it was not silly software that broke.
That attempts also did not work and created another weird effect.
After some time, now booting with sim inside the phone causes Cyanogenmod/BlissROM to not boot. I had to pull out the sim card in order for it to boot (when sim card is on, it shows the LG logo, cyanogenmod logo and then just shutsdown, and does not let to boot until sim is removed)
I tried flashing out the official modem for my phone again, the 20P (00052) baseband, from http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/radio-modem-lg-g3-t3110376 but still no success.
I took a backup of the stock rom working so I could revert to that any time (and manage to boot with sim and have this weird "x" sign or searching for network circle next to the signaling bar at the notification panel.
I'm really not sure what has gone wrong at that point. Might it be the antenna that has problems? How easy is replacing it?
What else might I do?
UPDATE: I tried to put on another sim on my phone, with cyanogenmod, and it booted! Now, it says again only emergency calls (no service) but signal strength is -105dBm.
No network, out of service but has signal (where before i switched to cyanogen and flashed modem, it had no signal strength back with sock)
But, on the next boot, it failed to boot with that another sim.
Thanks!
Phone hasn't been blocked. Infact as long as i don't reboot I can use the phone without issue. As soon as I reboot though I have no network and imei is null. Connecting to a power cable and rebooting solves the issue (imei is corrected, signal restored upon reboot as long as connected to power supply whole time during reboot).
I used lgup to flash back to stock Europe OPEN H81510D.kdz (i have h815 internatonal: presume this is correct firmware) but hasn't resolved the issue and when I sent the phone back to where I bought it they returned the phone back to me saying the software had been tampered with.
Have I got a dead phone or is there any way to recover it?
I have the same problem. After update software on my cell to V20G. Phone lose signal and IMEI number error. Any Help?
Doing a hard reset fixed mine. Wiped everything inc sdcard though
Dear People,
I have lost my IMEI number. Only if I look in download mode I can view my IMEI. My phone runs with everything except that it doesn't connect to a network anymore. It started yesterday suddenly when I restarted my phone because I thought my phone needed a fresh restart. During boot it crashed halfway during the samsung logo, playing an alarming sound then rebooting again and slowly restarting.
I tried factory reset and flashing the nougat version I have (from forum here) with odin 3.11 again. Went to samsung stand at bestbuy and they couldn't help me either. Because I bought it second hand I cant rely on warranty even though it would be valid.
Does anybody know a way to restore the IMEI? I don't have a backup of the efs or anything I wasn't flashing roms I was checking facebook in firefox.
Anyway any tips appreciated!
get an octopus box, that is what I have and it sails right on through bad imei, no imei, frp lock, all that.
