Hello again.
I have my HTC 10 for 2 days now and I am very happy with it.
Yesterday the Google Play Store prompted me that there are several updates for the HTC Apps. However, every time I tap "Update" I get Error 941. This happens only with HTC Apps (for example Photos updated fine today).
I have tried cleaning all caches (Play Store, Play Services, etc.), uninstalling Play Store updates and try again to no avail.
Does anyone have the same issue or any idea what to do? I live in Europe.
Thanks ahead.

I had the same issue yesterday with an old m8, from what I ready, try these:
Clear Play Store cache,
Clear Play store data,
Clear Play Services Data
Remove your Google account then re-add it.
Wait.
Of course restart your phone between after each step & if it works then your good to go. On my old m8 did all the above steps & then after a few hours or so it started updating.

Thanks for the answer. I just found the solution. You actually don't have to do all this. Leaving this here for future reference.
Just go to play.google.com and find the apps that won't update. It will show that the app is "Installed". Click on "Installed", choose your device et voilà! The app will update in the phone.

Hey Guys,
I updated to 4.0.4 last night by clearing the data for Google Services Framework and rebooted. Update went smooth. Noticed this morning that when I go to the Play Store website, it does not show the Galaxy Nexus under My Devices. Same thing for Google Dashboard. I am on AT&T in the US. Anyone else have this issue? Able to resolve it?
Thanks
Perhaps someone on custom 4.0.4 rom or updated via normal method I.e. Google push update can check if their devices are missing as well ?
If so it would most likely be an issue with 4.0.4 or Google play store

I fastboot flashed 4.0.4 update to my phone and it shows up in the Play Store. Just installed an app from the web page no problem.
Has to be something with the way you "forced" the update, OP. Try clearing your Play Store cache/data and rebooting, and logging in/out on the browser.

I tried this. Same thing. Galaxy Nexus does not show up in Play Store on the Web. I am able to download apps fine on the device itself. Any other ideas? Anybody else's not showing up in the Play Store?
This might be a dumb question but are you able to get into the playstore via your nexus? If you can perhaps you should try to download something from your phone and that might activate the play store to accepting your phone there.
Same for me, not showing up via the website but am able to download apps with no issue.
Try this

That worked for me retro83. Thanks!

So I got my phone showing up in the Play store by signing in the store again. However, the store force closes every time I try to download an app from the web-ui. Anyone else experiencing this?
Downloading from the web seems to be working as normal for me. There was an error (927) bit disappeared after 20 sec.
Yeah, the problem resolved itself on my phone too.
i just cleared the play data sorted it instantly
it seems the problem is not the 4.0.4 update but clearing the Google Services Framework data. I still cannot see the phone on play store but as suggested above I will wait for another 30 min or so to see if it comes up.
PS: still on 4.0.2

This worked for fixing something missing in my device Play Store App, on my Razr M - it has yet to restore my device via the web browser.
Have tried everything else except Factory Reset (trying to avoid this).
Update: A day later my device is back via the web ~ though I suspect it's related to me removing a Secondary Google Account last night.
Running 4.1.2 (stock rom, no root)
Hi,
I have a One X, 1.28, unlocked&rooted, logged into Google Play on both the device and play.google.com with the same account, saw my apps on play.google.com and on the device, but the One X is not listed on play.google.com/store/account . Anyone else having the same problem?
Cheers,

Remove your Google account from Accounts and Sync and try again.

Thanks, tried that, re-added my account, but no luck. My phone is still not visible from play.google.com, nor does Google Talk work (doesn't show any contacts).
Found the solution: Clear data/cache of Google Play and Google framework services and restart.
this is not working for me But I didnt find it in "list of Supported Devices"
Your phone or tablet isn’t a supported device. There is no way to manually add your phone or tablet to the device list on play.google.com, and you will not be able to use the Google Play website.

Got the same official response from HTC. Try deleting data of Google Play, Google Talk and Google Services framework, then restart the phone. Took ~1 day for the One X to show up on play.google.com though.
same for me. dont see one x on google.play
Works fine for me. Unbranded One X
Hi guys,
Ever since getting my HTC One X I've had this problem. I spent absolutely hours trying to sort this out and even posted a thread on here however it didn't seem to get any replies or anything, so I was left to solve the issue myself.
People that have this issue, typically experience the issue with the 'Play Store' too. If you try updating a stock installed application such as 'Street View' you get an error message about it not being currently available and being processed later. I spent hours messing about with this, and it turns out the issue is with the accounts!
Remove all your accounts, Google, Facebook ect, especially your HTC account. Clear all the data & cache from the Google Play Store, Framework Services ect. Set up your Google account first and open the Play Store, accept the terms and conditions ect. Go to 'My Apps' and it should have nothing listed. Set up your HTC account then go back to the 'My Apps' section of the 'Play Store' and you should have updates available. If you don't, re-do the steps stated above, however set up your HTC account before the Google account and remember, WIPE DATA!
Tell me if this works guys

This only happens if you have no internet connection (duh!) or have pending downloads on your account associated with another device. It shouldn't be the issue here, as the pending downloads time-out after a certain amount of time
This morning Google play services and Google play store both stopped unexpectedly while I was on the Amazon app store. And now both are constantly giving me this message. I cannot open up the play store due to obvious reasons. I am running ecliptic kit Kat. I have not installed anything new in over a month. I have tried fix permissions with room manager but it didn't help. I've rebooted my phone, no help. I don't want to have to reflash this room but if I have to I will. While typing in this the messages appeared over a dozen times.

Do you have Titanium Backup installed? If so use it to wipe data on both apps, then reboot.

After doing that, it still didn't work. So I went into settings then accounts and unchecked everything that was set up to sync, then rechecked everything then it worked. Thanks for the help.

Been searching a solution with no luck. When I try to update, or download new apps, I get an error for the google play store saying "APP NAME" could not be downloaded due to an error. (963). I have tried removing my google account and clearing cache in TWRP then readding my google account, but it still doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated.
I'm in the same boat with no real solution yet,... I'm working on it though. Tried clearing cache and reinstalling rom to no avail.
If you say you reflashed and it still didn't work try a full format. The problem could also lie in your account. Try your account in another phone (if available) or try creating a new account. Also it's strange that no mention of this error (963) can be found anywhere
I just started getting this error very annoying. Running stock, not rooted, htc one m8
Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Tapatalk
I'm having same issue I can't download or update from the play store. I'm on an htc one m8 rooted s off running latest bad boyz rom. I never had the problem before til after I updated the Rom.
I'm getting this error too.
Is there any fix for that ?
I've also been getting this silly error lately. Seems that the connection keeps dropping the whole time and it constantly re-downloads the app/update. Just to have it throw out the error after a while.
I've got the updates to download eventually, after uninstalling the Google Play updates form apps in settings. After that it removed the generic Google Play icon from desktop/app drawer and replaced it with vendor.android.etcetc. At which point I could download the update fine but as soon as it started to install the entire Google Play crashed. It did this 3 times though, afterwards it installed the update fine and for some reason even the "Google Play" icon is back at homescreen/app drawer.
Don't know if it's a feasible solution but it worked for me to do updates. Seems like only HTC One m8 specific problem for now? I ran the updates at the same time from 4 devices(Galaxy S6 Edge, Note 10.1 tablet and a local carrier made android phone(cheapy in other words)). It worked on all of them except the HTC One M8.

You had the problem on 4 devices with the same Google account connected?? Have you tried switching to another Google account? Or have two added and changing the account?
I had this last night. I fixed it by uninstalling the updates to Play Store and clearing it's data/cache.
As an aside I had updated Play Store from APKMIRROR prior to this problem.

No, I said it seems like it might only be a HTC One M8 specific problem. I ran the same update on 4 devices(For a game) and the only one that had the error was my HTC One M8, all of the other devices updated all their various updates without any problems at all.
4 Devices, 4 different Google accounts. Only the M8 had error when updating.
Though by the looks of the post by Chris it seems that uninstalling the Google Playstore updates worked for him as well. Don't know if it might be a problem that crept in with the latest updates to M8 devices for Play store, but even if that is the case then I don't know why there aren't more people complaining about the same issue.
Just started having this particular problem as well. Had a similar issue earlier on but with a different error code and if I restarted my phone, I could download apps again no problem. Now, the only way for me to fix the problem is by uninstalling the updates to the Play Store. Wonder what the issue is.
Just trouble shooting here but, what kind of apps has everyone been having this problem with? I've only tried to download games recently and continue to have this problem. Every now and then one works. Gonna try some other kind of apps now and report back.
I'm also having trouble with the same error code. :/ I uninstalled an app and tried to reinstall it and this error code came up. I'm pretty sure last night several apps updated just fine though, so it's very strange. I'm just trying to download a free game that I haven't really had any trouble with before. I'm also on a m8. Clearing the search history and turning off WiFi didn't work.
Sorry to sound like a noob, but a couple people mentioned uninstalling the latest Google play store update but I have no idea how to go about doing this. Any help with that would be appreciated.
Update: Got it working again. I uninstalled the latest play store updates, opened it back up, got a different error code (906). Cleared the cache, uninstalled, opened back up and then it worked. Don't really know why.
Hi,
I had the same problem, too with my HTC One M8 (on Android Revolution HD 41.0). Uninstalling the Play Store Updates eventually worked for me. Though, for some reason I had to uninstall them twice. The reason could have been that at the first time, I had stopped the Play Store App previous to uninstalling the updates (only at the second time, when I didn't stop the app beforehand, a seperate uninstalling screen popped up).
Cheers
Update: It seems that it only worked for a short time. I could only install one app(which definetly didn't work beforehand) after about 15 minutes I tried to install another app which didn't work; however, when I repeatedly uninstalled the Play Store updates I could install the second app as well. Maybe the Play Store silently installed some updates in the meantime!? :/
Does anyone know how to prevent the Play Store from installing updates of itself automatically until the whole issue is fixed?
I have the same problem from today ,witch I think come from that I updated Google Play Service.
My fix
The way I fixed it was by deleting the files already downloaded (they accumulate after failed download to big amounts of memory) in ''HTC One_M8\Internal storage\Android\obb'' (you might want to delete updates from your Play Store app as well just in case).
name of the folder you want to delete might be hard to find but easy way to find it is by searching for the name of the publisher of the app you are trying to delete which you can find in play store on the app's page
hope it helps, good luck
I've uninstallled Google play store updates and cleared the cache, it is now fixed
error 936
I thing I found the problem. Some app put information on SD card. I remove the app information on SD card (move dack to internal Memory). Then I download the update. The update OK,no problem.

You are absolutely right!
I have experienced this weird issue after moving to SD a lot of apps. So to sort it out it is necessary to uninstall and then install the each app from the playstore or just move them back to the internal storage before updating.
Hey guuys!
I have a problem recently I flash the Android Pie. No worries, but recently I have a problem with Google Play! Indeed, imagine that I want to install XDA app, 2 problems can then arise. Be the application download will launch 4h after LOL; the download is done, then the installation will also take 4 hours to get started. I tried to clear the Google Play cache, but also GP services, no results. Do you know where it came from? Because it's very annoying .. For example it's 8 minutes that the download of my game is over, but the bar is stuck at 76mo 76mo. The installation will arrive in 5 minutes, 1h or maybe 4h ..! Thank you so much ! :highfive::fingers-crossed:
Update: It seems that to close the google play at the end of the download, then restart it launches the installation! I do not understand anything, we would say that to restart the GP allows synchronized. HELP
