Hi, on Friday 9/23/16 my friend in school thought it was a great idea to play a joke one me and steal my phone and run away with it so I could chase him around for it to make him look "funny."
In the process while he was running he dropped my OP3 which I got 2 weeks before and the screen is shattered. Now the device still functions but I just can't deal with a broken screen especially when I recently got the device. My friend is paying me back but what is my best option? Get the screen repaired? Get a new OP3? I honestly don't know.
If you could help me out that would be great.
Thanks
I can't post a picture as I have only made 1 - 2 posts on here, if there is any was I can post a picture let me know.
Get a new friend, contact oneplus and they will fix it, or try to see if any local shops can fix it, it seemed pretty easy to take apart
Or you can sell it to me ?

Only had it 5 minutes . wife dropped my wedding ring on the phone , got to work and the screens cracked. It must have had a week spot. Glad i forgot to take the free insurance out of the basket when purchased the phone.
Just thought i would share my woe with some people that would understand my loss.
Oh would definately reccomend brando screen protectors as the screen is still smooth nad functioning perfictly.
That's ......
I hope I never face that problem, I can't live without my TP2
But I never take of my wedding ring
(Did your wife dropped it or did she throw it??
Anyway, I wish you luck in the next TP2-less days....
Man that s**ks! Hope you get it replaced soon. It's always horrible when things like this happen and you have to live without your device for some time. Might be you're lucky you only had it 5 mins, otherwise you'd been growing more attached to it.

Ok, that's really bad luck: Taking of your ring to be careful, and it costs you your TP2.

And that is... if the insurance company will do anything about it?
If their check is a day late... they are fast as lightning, but when they have to pay...
I'm quite convinced the repair centers of HTC (EuroTwice for the Netherlands/Belgium) will have the screens in stock.
You'll not be the first, and definitely won't be the last to crack your screen.
My father-in-law recently bought an S3 and his screen cracked in the corner. He called it in and they said that they would replace it for him for $XX, and that he didn't need to send in the broke one. This is what he told me the insurance people said to him mind you, I've never heard of anything like that before but who knows. The phone still works perfectly but the cracked screen is an eye sore for such a great looking phone.
I want to see if he will sell me his screen cracked phone but that's only if I'm able to get it fixed. So........ [Q] Is there anywhere to send the phone in to get a new screen? And if so.... Does anyone know around how much it'll run?
I appreciate any legitimate info anyone can give me.
I know the iphone 4s the screens were $100 to get fixed. So at least twice that.

what they do is send you a replacement and in the same box you place your old one. if not they will give you information on what store or samsung place to go where they will fix it for you in about 15 min. like actually replace the screen only. since it is insured most of it will be covered except for about 100$ roughly.
Back about a month ago, I dropped my One V on the sidewalk, breaking the screen. I ordered another screen, and it came today, but I'm not too sure how to replace it. I'm not too great when it comes to things like this, and I watched the video as well. I don't want to do a full dissasembly, but will if necessary. Any help is appreciated!!

best way is to go to HTC centre and get it repaired
although it might take a lot of money :fingers-crossed:

So I got my phone last week and I've been extremely careful with it since I'm waiting on a case to ship - no drops or falls. I just noticed today the glass covering the rear camera is cracked. It affects the camera only if light is hitting it just right so its mostly just a minor inconvenience. I have rooted my phone and am wondering if I'm eligible for a replacement or if I just need to wait for repair kits to come out? Any help is appreciated thanks!

Wow, that sucks. I can't speak for eligibility, but if it is made of glass, which it probably is if it cracked like you say, then you might be able to mitigate the problem with automotive windshield repair glue.
If you are taking about the root, that doesn't stop you from getting your warranty! Just make sure to go back to stock and lock the bootloader before sending it back.
Google is replacing the phone for me! Thanks for your help guys. My case is here so this time around hopefully it won't become a problem again.

I actually didn't get nexus protect because I'm usually really careful with my devices but I used the Google support in the Google play help. I just tried looking exactly where I made the claim but maybe since I'm out of the two week grace period its not available for that purchase. But I went to my Google play account purchases and chose the phone purchase and got a support ticket. Sorry for the vague response. I'm at work and I'll check a bit later from a computer

here is where I was able to make the ticket with google's support: https://support.google.com/store/contact/devices_remorse_return
I was within the 15 days and in the ticket was able to explain that the glass cracked over the camera but that I really enjoyed the phone overall. Support got back to me within 20 minutes and requested some pictures. After I sent them the next day they sent me a link to 'purchase' the exchange (it just places an AUTH charge on your card which is removed once you send back the cracked device)
Let me know if you need any other help
Hey guys, my phone got slammed in a car door and I finally paid £130 and replaced the screen because it got damaged to the point of being unusable but in the process of replacing it I accidently broke the ribbon for the multitask button. I've tried searching for the part on eBay etc and can't find a replacement part, could someone link me please? If it's available. Thanks in advance

Dunno, not much parts for the OP3. Have you watched JerryRigEverything? He has a really nice disassembly video.
Confirmed, you DID f**k up.
There are NO official replacement parts available online because OnePlus does not sell them to third parties. Anything you may come across is not official - including that screen you got somewhere.
Even if you don't mind unofficial parts, it's really hard to get small single parts for devices with poor service support. Full screen assemblies are fairly common, pretty much anything else isn't.
BTW, screen replacement in official service center costs about as much as you paid for the screen. Didn't benefit at all doing it alone ...
Don't have many options now, go check aliexpress, dealextreme and similar sites if you find anything. If not, well, ... you'll have to shell out even more £££.
