So since the past 2 days, i've been noticing that the top part of my OP3 screen has a really slight purple tint, It's not too noticeable, but once you notice it, it's impossible to not notice it anymore...
I just had to download a white walpapper and see the difference, I told my gf to look at the screen but she couldn't notice it, i told her to look closely and after a while she noticed it and it's now noticeable for both of us really easily
I haven't gone past the 15 days period (order on 12th september and delivery on 15th) , RMA isn't an option, i'm not willing to wait a month for a fix or a new device that might have the same problem, i will probably return it and wait for the new pixel or buy a different phone from a place with a real warranty (probably amazon), What do you guys think? And if i decided to keep it, would the issue become worse over time?

So it seems my screen glass is just starting to come up. On the edge of the phone screen, in the bottom left in portrait mode (or just above where the "8" key is with the keyboard open), the glass feels a little "loose". Like there's give to it, almost like a Blackberry Storm in that one spot. If I press down hard, it feels normal again for about 5 minutes. It almost feels like the glue is coming undone a bit.
Has anyone experienced this before? Do you think it's going to get worse? (I'm fine with it as it is now, but not if it's going to get worse.) What would you do in my situation?
Haven't seen the issue before. The epic glass is supposed to be pretty tough to separate from the case. If you are already having an issue with it, I would take it to a service center.
My very first Epic had a loose screen. I brought it in after 1 week and the Sprint "tech" guy just gave me a new phone on the spot. Mind you I was still within the initial 30 day return policy.
About the same place that you described, when I pressed down on the screen at the edge I would hear a creaking noise as the screen depressed. You should bring it into Sprint and see if they will do an on-the-spot exchange due to hardware defect, even if you are long past the exchange date policy. The worst they can say is "no" and/or "call Samsung for a replacement."

If he is past 30 days, they won't do an on-the-spot exchange. They have to order a refurb which usually shows up at the store the next day.
had that issue since i got the phone. It hasn't gotten worse or better and i have had it for 6 months now... august september october november december january feb soo... i don't think u have to worry about it. Just my humble oppinion.
Hi, I have my Defy for about a month and just now noticed 2 tiny stuck pixels of green/blue colour. They are actually visible only on black screen and in normal usage you can only find them if you know where they are, otherwise it only looks like a tiny particle of dust.
Since I only noticed it now it's too late for me to send it back
Have tried different software solutions and ran them over some nights, but nothing helped. So it seems they are permanent. I'm still on stock firwmare and havent flashed it yet.
It's sort of psychological thing... personally, I find it frustrating and it pisses me off because I know the problem is there and I have paid the full price for the phone to be perfect.
I was wondering how many of you experienced this and is there any chance that motorola would cover this problem under warrianty (in EU)?
My first Defy got a stuck pixel within the first week of me owning it. I phoned T-Mo and they sent me a replacement the next day. Before I did that though, I asked a T-Mo employee in one of their shops about it. He told me that if I couldn't get it sorted over the phone, to come back into the shop and they would help me get it replaced under warranty.
I don't really know how it all works but that was just my situation - hopefully it's of some use.
My defy that I just sold had two dead white pixels. One in the middle of the screen and one about the height of the volume rocker. Only visible on black screen though.

I have about 5...does anyone else have this issue?
I have 2 dead pixels
Pristine and unblemished here. Sorry for your loss.
I've got one dead pixel. Not too worried about it though.

Same here.
I got one :crying:...
I have another watch coming, I'm going to check that one and return the one with the most dead pixels.
One, but it just went away. Lucky me.

Haha no loss here...just seeing if others had the same experience. Thanks though!
Just picked up mine, one dead pixel.. Apparently the first batch is mostly defective
None.
I have 1. Google Play is in the process of replacing the watch. I reported it to them the day I received it.
Really disappointing to see this issue be so common.
i received two silvers from motorola today... two stuck green pixels on both, same mid/upper left location.
I have about 4 dead pixels, best buy is going to replace it. They ordered me another one and I'll just return my current watch when it comes in.
Numerous dead or stuck pixels all over. Just got it today, contacted Motorola (bought it straight from them) and got a full refund, a return label, and a 10% promo code to purchase a new one.
I had one dead pixel. Just returned mine yesterday.
So, a buddy of mine ordered ours together and we both wound up with dead/stuck pixels: His had 2, mine had 5.
We don't want to be without them and potentially get stuck waiting for a couple weeks, since we got the silver ones and they seem to be in high demand, but I think we might just have to return/exchange them. It sucks because if his Best Buy wasn't closing down relatively soon, we could hold on to our current ones until the new ones came in but they have orders to the store disabled meaning we'd have to return them right away and ship the replacements to his place.
This is why I rarely, if ever, buy first gen/first batch electronics.
Hmmmmm I have one dead pixel barely noticeable but it's there.. Tempted to exchange it but don't want more dead pixel there.....
None here, pristine. I'd go insane if I had dead pixels. Dead pixels are the worst to me. My eye gravitates to them every time. I have a few on my work monitor and it drives me insane but they wont' buy me a new monitor and its out of warranty.
I traded 3 total.... Every one had 1 or 2 idea pixel..... I gave up.....
So, to see the dead or stuck pixels is everyone setting the brightness on 5 and going to a black screen (such as the about screen under settings)?
When I do this, I see a few pixels at the top of the screen and one in the lower left that appear to be stuck? However, without turning up brightness and being in a dark room on a black screen, I see none. I also can't see the stuck pixels on any other screen except for the boot up screen or this black about screen.
Hi xda,
I am observing something very strange on my phone, and since I dropped it last week, I observed a new occurrence.
So now I have 3 scratch-like scars on my display, but they are not on the surface, but down below, they are perfectly straight and seem to be on the exact border between the display and the frame.
Sadly, I could only make one picture, since my phone has the better camera.
Hi,
i have a similar scratch in my P6 similar of yours...I didn't notice right away, only looking the screen very closely...My scratch is at the left-top of the border, straight to it.
you too. has the same scratch. is under the glass. I wonder if the warranty replaces.
So, it's not just me.... When I have time I will go back to stock and then go to the operator and ask for opinion and/or replacement.
I went to my carrier but they refused to fix it under warranty. It was due to the use of the phone, and I'd be charged 200 euro for the complete screen replacement. Not that this phone worth more now a days. And sadly my scratches have gotten a little big longer
Hi, I got this OnePlus 3, it had a very slight pink tint in right half and no tint on left (on white screen) so I got it replaced. Now the replacement is even worse, bottom and right side is much more pink than before, only top left side is fine, even on grey, I can see the top left portion is more bright than rest. What to do guys, I'm afraid third replacement will be even worse, I previously owned Nexus 6 and it had only pink tint in low brightness not this kind of uneven hue. Please suggest something.
Well, there's nothing you can do except replacing it ...
It can't be worse every time, you'll run out of bad luck eventually ?

They may not replace the phone. But they should change the screen again.
Go to the one plus service center.. the ones they own and manage.. not the ones outsourced.
Btw, I have a similar issue.. on specific greys, the left side (about half a inch) seems brighter than the right side. Only on greys. All other Colors are just fine.
I took it to the non-company owned service center, the guy there couldn't really tell the difference as much as I noticed, but he agreed that he can try changing the screen. Though I haven't really gone that route yet since the phone is less than a month old. Will wait for some time and see. The color variation is fairly minor and not many people I have shown it to have been able to tell the difference.
