battery issue - T-Mobile LG G3

OK so I've been having this weird issue with my battery for the past couple of days. My screen has been cracked and unable to work for about a year and I finally had the means to get it repaired. Got it back. Fully charged my phone. And for some reason. Everytime my battery hits about 53%. My phone will reboot and when it finishes booting up again. I only have 3% of battery left over. Any ideas as to what is happening would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Here's a screen shot of what happened

It could be that your battery is dying on you.. My phone did a similar thing where it reached a certain percentage (started @ 100% and went down to ~70%) and would then go into a bootloop. I suggest buying a new battery and seeing if that solves your problem.

Battery at 40% -> Phone shuts down

Hi, my cousin's arc is acting weird. It doesn't happen all the time so it is hard for me know what is exactly wrong.
1) When the battery was at 40%, the phone shuts down. This happened once when I was playing with it and I thought maybe I mistaken 4% for 40.
Then a few days later.
2) My cousin noticed the battery was at 40%, he left the phone in his pocket and it shuts down. So now I think last time when I was playing with it, it wasn't a mistake.
Then when the phone is pluged in, it will be low on battery e.g. 4 percent. He doesn't use the phone a lot so it should last a day or two before it need to be charged again from fully charged. But the phone just shut down at 40percent today.
So now it is hard for me to know what is wrong with it. Is it due to battery being defected? Problem with the phone itself? Or might be some apps that caused the problem?
It is running on 2.3.3 Rogers firmware. Stock, not rooted etc. He had the phone for a week and it happened 2-3 times already.
Thanks.
You could try repairing it via SEUS but you will lose all data. Make a back up.
It could be that the phone has stored incorrect limits for the battery - a factory reset should solve this.
However, it seems more likely to me that the battery is faulty.
Thanks for these suggestions. I have searched the forum quite a bit last night and there were a few others looked like the problem I am having. So going to try out those methods first. Then the suggestions in this thread.
Has he tried running the phone flat, then take out the battery and charge it with the phone off till completion. Mine used to shutdown anytime after 20% ; after doing this it never has again. Shot in the dark ... worth the effort.
Any update??

Was the issue resolved? What all things did you try?
Nope, the best I got is 20% then to 1% then shutdown. It is in repair centre now.
I have tried repairing, reflashing, battery widget etc, everything I can find on xda and it didn't work.
Updates
It came back from the repair center and did not get repaired, it was phone being sent only. It still had the problem.
Then sent it again (good thing it is just 20 mins drive on highway) and left the phone and battery there.
Now got phone back, battery is replaced (since I think it was battery being faulty). Now it is at 29% percent and looking good.
I will update this thread if I got more. I am leaving this thread here so others who have this problem and tried all the suggested methods on xda and failed, it means that your battery is faulty!

[Q] Battery or Phone Problem? is making me crazy

Almost every week i have this problem with the phone acting a bit weird. First the phone start slowing down or kind of frizzing, next i turn the phone off...and on again. Suddenly my battery goes from 50's charge to 7% and the phone message said i need to charge the battery. I would turn off the phone again...take the battery out for few 10 seconds or more, put it back and restart the phone? now the meter says i have about 25% charge...i plug it to the charger and wait until is 100% and then seems to work fine for another week until the same thing happen again! Now im on FD16 but this problem has been occurring since i bought the phone 6 months ago on stock, so i think is not flashing new modems or kernels. a bad battery ? Does anybody have any idea how troubleshoot this a little further or has experimented this phone behavior. Or should go back to stock and send this baby to Sprint to try to get a replacement?
I just got to the point that i cant deal with this anymore since i dont know when it is going to happen and may not have a charger at hand!
Please i need some suggestions !

Anybody that can help ???
I have the same issue, is not the battery i tried a few batts and still reboots, im gonna wait for the official ics update to see if is just a bug or a deffective phone.
The battery percentage always decreases dramatically everytime you reboot. Android just doesnt read correctly after rebooting.

The only time my battery would drastically drop after a reboot was when I rooted my phone wrong and it would reboot about 10 times a day and when it did I would lose a good 50% of the battery. Now if I reboot I lose 1-2% even if I flash a new rom. On to this guys issue I would say if it has been doing it since you bought it, it is likely a hardware issue with the phone. My old Evo used to do that. I just ended up selling it because I wasnt sure if it was a problem with the phone or just the fact that, that phone was slow as **** anyway!

Extreme Battery Drain

I never had that much of a problem with the battery on my Desire Z. Okay, I had to charge it sometime during the day when I was browsing the web or playing for a few hours but then, that was expected.
Forward last week, where I decided to try Mimicry rom (I'm not pointing any fingers there, keep reading). Everything was going smooth except one thing, the battery was draining at least.. twice as fast as usual. I'm speaking deplugging at 7 AM, dead at 12:30 PM. And that's with practically no usage. At this point, I've tried rebooting, and, oddly, it wouldn't do the same thing as usual (not opening or opening briefly to the loading screen then closing). No, it would boot to the launcher, show me that I had 2% left. It's usually at those points that I've been able to take a screenshot.
Then, a few moments ago, if I kept rebooting. It would be back at say 36%, but kept hard dying (no "Android is shutting down" or stuff like that, just BAM, black screen) every 5 minutes.
Thinking that Mimicry would be the culprit, I went over there and asked the question, but, oddly enough, nothing in the rom could produce this effect. Weird. He was kind enough to give me some tips to try to see if it would make any difference. I've tried them.. Several time with the battery stat reset, deactivate the Google Backup in case it was in a loop. I've reflashed the rom, downgraded to the earlier version, updated to the latest. No use.
So at that point, Andromadus Beta 5 was out and decided to go back at Andromadus. At first, no problem but finally, it came back. So the culprit is not the rom, or maybe yes, I don't actually know. Today was the day I could use it the longest but.. It's unbearable. Also, I've looked into 4EXT at the battery indicator and it seems to be ****ed up too. I tried to force drain the battery with continuous permission fixing and the battery would drain from 3% to 0% in under 2 minutes, but would stay at 0% for a while.
So, what do? New battery because this one is bricked? New phone, because at the price of the battery... Or is there a way where I don't have to take my wallet out?
Thanks in advance.
Here are some screenshot I took
EDIT
Seems like no screenshot shows up on there. here's an imgur album
imgur .com/a/j9seu#0
Reupload those screenshots nothing is showing, I'd suggest trying a new battery then if that doesn't work get a replacement device.
New photo upload, to see if it finally works.
Mimicy uses Andromadus source so they could share a piece of code which could falsely report battery information. I suggest, mainly as a test, take a nandroid backup. Then plug the phone in and let it charge until you get the green LED. Leave it plugged in for an extra hour or two just to make sure that your battery is at 100 percent. Then flash the Cyanogenmod ROM then reset the battery stats. Try using Cyanogenmod for a while and see if the phone is still doing the same thing. If it is, then it could be the battery. Also if you know someone with a G2, you can always swap batteries and see if the same issue happens. If it does maybe switch to a non-ICS ROM and if that doesn't work, your phone maybe going bonkers.
i think its kinda bricked, or you could buy a portable phone charger. that could help

[Q] Charging/battery and bootlooping issues on my 8.4

I've had my TAB PRO 8.4 since about half a year now, and it's been a really good experience. But then suddenly one day I was just using it for my daily tasks and it suddenly restarted and then it did it again and again, it got stuck in a bootloop. Then it drained the battery and stopped, when I came back home I tried charging it normally, but noticed it wasn't charging past a certain percentage, and since I was also playing with it while it was plugged in then I just thought it was just because of that.
After that, I left it plugged in all night as I've always done but when I woke up, it was STILL STUCK at that percentage (around 25%). It was like that for a couple days with the battery, I restarted the device (longpressing the power/lock key), when I it came back ON then suddenly the battery percentage jumped to around 51% and I thought it was solved but it wasn't, then it didn't want to go past that percentage, and the worst came when I unplugged the device and the battery drained incredibly quickly, like in a matter of seconds it was down more than 10% of the battery.
It's been like this since about a week now, the charging process gets stuck at some random percentage, and when I use it while unplugged then the battery just drains in such a crazy and quick manner. And also, the bootloops come back every once in a while and I have to go into safe mode or odin mode and then restart so that it stops, but the battery/charging issue never stops, it just behaves randomly crazy. I really don't know if it's software or hardware, whether I should try rooting or something like that, or whether I should try to send it to Samsung under the 1year warranty (it's just that I bought it in USA, and I dont live there and it would be just a great pain in the ass in time and money) or just try to live with it like this.
What do yo guys think I should about this?

Did you ever resolve this? I'm having similar charging issues.
Kinda

Well, I kinda resolved it, at least the charging one. I had to drain all the battery down to 0% until it shut itself down, and then I turn it back on and for some crazy reason there was about 50% left but it quickly got drained and went off on 0%, then I turned it back on once more and it was 0% but still it lasted a couple minutes on and again it went off, did that process so many times until it couldn't go back on anymore. At that point, I put it on the charger and it got well charged to 100% at last, and the battery now is working kinda normal, even though the random reboot loops come back every once in a while, specially when on low battery, but that's about it.
If you ever find any definite solution for your charging issue, please contact me.

Is this BSOD or something else?

Flashed new fulmics few days ago and everything was fine. Then once just turned off in pocket. Couldn't turn on so took the battery out and put it in again. Turned on fine then the same thing happened after 5 minutes. Now I can't enter TWRP , can get past "yes , yes " thing. Phone shuts down then . Can barely turn it on and when I do I have to take out the battery but still won't boot up into system. Just dies on the LG logo. On the charger just white charging battery indicator appears and goes away and it doesn't react to anything. LED is off. Thought if it was faulty battery this wouldn't be the case?
Did the phone just straight up died on me today or?
edit: OK ,so B is blue so it can't be it.
After some time without battery I actually could turn it on now but it died again? Any help would be highly appreciated. Battery indicator says 80 something percent and battery showed no problems or bad run time so far.
edit : tested the battery with voltmeter now and reads almost over 4 volts so it can't be the battery

Maybe it's the Fulmics itself? When you entered twrp did you try to flash a new rom
It was motherboard. Reheated a little and works fine now but who knows for how long.
