I am currently using CM10 on my rooted Galaxy S3 AT&T phone. Can someone tell me how I can get stock AT&T Jelly Bean with root access?
The root no flash count thread in development has been updated to rooted at&t jellybean. No data loss. Flash with Odin. It's what I did.
There are a lot of ways to do this. Flash the root injected file using odin. Flash the TW version using odin and use kies to update. you could try going right from CM10 to the JB update.
I was on rooted TW and I updated via Kies, then just flashed cwm, installed super user zip, and updated cwm to the latest version. Everything is working even google wallet following proper installation.
Hello all,
Today I decided to go back to stock ROM via Odin.
I was using Milestone 6 based on new cm9. I did a factory reset via settings.
Then turned off my mobile and went to download mode.
Odin recognized my mobile and started the flashing process.
It showed pass message after 5 mins.
Now my mobile is bootloop. Samsung logo just keeps appearing again and again.
I tried to access recovery but I cant access it.
What am I supposed to do.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thank you

'Well it's fine to stick with your 2.3.3 and if you want to go to 2.3.6 you dont have to use odin, just go to samsung's official padge, search for your phone, install samsung kais and brchause you tawe rhe official android rom for Gio you will be soon notified that a higher wersion of android is awailable, so you can update to the latest version with kais :good:
Hi all,
I have been strugling for months to get JB or KitKat running on my i8160p XXLK3. The stock rom is on GB 2.3.6 and it is repeatedly soft bricked for some reason.
I have tried:
- Flash Clockworkmod 6
- TeamCanjica 4.4.2 i8160p rom (radio is disabled and cannot be enabled)
- McClaw 4.4.3 roms (imei is lost, so no phone signal)
- DBT-I8160pxxmg2 german stock rom for 4.1.2 (which doesn't even flash: install aborted)
I have always been forced to flash back to clockworkmod 5 with Odin to be able to recover my GB rom.
I have seen other users with the i8160p (and even XXLK3) to be running kitkat or JB. I haven't been able to find a proper way to achieve that though.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure what you are hinting at, but I don't have any issues with the FM radio... I have issues with the GSM network to connect:
- With 4.4.2 TeamCanjica i8160p ROM the network settings are extremely slow. Sometimes networks appear, but soon disconnect. No stable connection (due to radio or modem?). I guess I am still using the gingerbread modem which doesn't come with the 4.4.2 custom rom?
There is no official release for jellybean for my phone (XXLK3), so I don't know which one to flash to get this working.
I dont know much about regions and sim locks and stuff so hopefully a knowledgeable P variant user help you. Sorry

Have you tried to update with Samsung Kies to JB first, and after that to flash kitkat? Ore with Odin to flash JB?

Thanks for your quick reply. For some reason the phone does not connect with USB in windows 8.1. Updating via Kies is therefore not an option. Also, I believe the latest official release for this model is still 2.3.6 (unlike the same phone in other countries).
I would like to flash JB through odin, but I have yet to find a rom that supports i8160p (XXLK3). Also I am a bit unsure if I need to backup anything expect for the standard CWM recovery backup, I have read that users forgot to backup essential settings that Samsung stores on the phone and which are needed to revert back to GB if needed.
If you have suggestions for a rom to flash, or a procedure to follow. Very welcome!

Hi, Finally I was able to flash the i8160P german version mentioned above through ODIN. Through the CWM recovery it had failed. I am now running 4.1.2 with a working modem. Does this mean the modem is now upgraded and ready to flash kitkat?

Yes bro
Frustrated over the CM11 KiKat 4.4.4 reboots, Google Inc. apps not updating and other issues, I did a format of EVERYTHING and currently stuck on the CM Android screen. I can get into recovery but of course there is nothing on the phone now to flash/recover. My sdcard1 has CM10.2.1 on it but fails to install from the card.
Is my only choice now to download the stock ROM I747UCDLK3 and load through Odin?
Since the partitions were adjusted to handle updated ROMs, do I have to repartition the phone using a PIT?
Thanks for any suggestions!

What did you wipe exactly? And what's the error when trying to flash?
As for flashing LK3, that depends on what bootloaders you're on atm. You can't downgrade or you'll brick.
Back to ATT JB stock
All good using Oden was able to install att stock jellybean 4.1.1
Running software upgrade...then onto rooting, hopefully with no KNOX issues.
Will hold off on Kitkat for awhile, JB running very smooth!

Before updating all the way to 4.3, make sure you use the free method to sim unlock your phone.
Hi everyone I hope this is not a repetition of some old thread (I tried but couldn't find though).
I was using my note 2 (T889) on stock 4.3 which i previously flashed via odine. A couple of days ago i came by this good looking kitkat based rom ( eZKAT v2.0 ) and went on to try it. the rom flashed flawlessly and after flashing my modem i got the signals as well but the wifi was not working. tried using dr. ketans wifi patch but didnt get the wifi to working. Anyhow, I decided to go back to 4.3 via odine. The odine flashing completed successfully but i got stuck on T-mobiles boot screen for hours.
Is there anything called "you cant go back to 4.3 from 4.4.2"? If yes, then whats the way around? I really need to go back to the stock.
Thanks.

I had this problem on my Note also. Downgrading versions of Android requires a data wipe. You will need to reflash your 4.4 ROM then backup your data if you want. Save your backup to your computer then install the 4.3 image.

I already tried that but still the booting stuck on the t-mobile logo. I read somewhere that locked bootloader don't let you downgrade to previous version. Is this true?
In that case. Try finding a 4.3 rom that's close to stock.

The locked bootloader is always in stock firmwares i.e 4.3 for the Note 2 but not in custom roms meaning u can even install Lollipop custom on it & downgrade smoothly, i have done that many times. The problem is 4.3 stock firmware has locked bootloader hence downgrading still keeps u in 4.3 bootloader even if u remove all the KNOX files.
Stuck trying to downgrade from custom 5.1.1 to stock 4.3
