Today we have a look at the new Beelink GT1 Amlogic s912 2/16gb
A small and compact unit looks kinda groovy, performance so far looking good.
Just arrived a few hours ago so a bit of a Work in Progress with this review.
Dual band WiFi, 10.100/1000 lan and running Android 6.

So on the Bench for a few hours no major problems with the basic testing and performance is on par with other
S912 units I have tested, this unit keeps its cool and did not stress to much, Found WiFi and ethernet to be Ok

There is no root for GT1.

I wonder if the Geekbench 4 scores would differ from those posted here.
Also, it would be interesting to see how the S912 runs LibreELEC. Hopefully one will surface soon.

Hope he will support the A912 owners as well!

He just said he does not have it yet. I am pretty lucky to have one with 9377 WiFi/BT chip.

Sorry for the double post, I tested the custom ROM yesterday. Netflix works out of the box, without the need to modify anything. Everything else is pretty much the same. It does have some apps preinstalled that I do not want. I went back to the official one, especially since the guy in charge for the ROM does not have the device anymore and did not develop a version for the box with the other WiFi chipset.

I found the ROM quite a bit better then the 106 firmware.
-seemed a bit smoother (although this is highly subjective)
-kodi dark screen issue is gone
-I like the reboot app he added
-youtube works perfectly as is up to 1080p
most importantly, it looks like he might be continuing development, some of the members at freaktab are working to get him some donations so he can buy another GT1, hes very close to having the enough to buy another GT1.

I never had any black or green screen, none of those issues that some other people complained about with official firmware. I gave it away, since I got the Q10 Pro at a very good price. I will continue to monitor it because I gave it to a colleague and I want him to have the best experience he can get on the GT1.

On 1º boot when you setup in english language the on screen keyboard may not show when you going to put you wifi password, to fix it go back and change to another language go to the wifi password click it to show the on screen keyboard when it shows go back to the language selection screen and choose english again and it should be ok now on the wifi password. YOU ONLY NEED TO DO THIS ONCE!
Only update "su" if you are going to to stay at root if are not going to stay at root and you are going to be doing a lot of changes between the two dont update it! Or you will get a boot animation loop...
Ugoos Firefly after you enable it and reboot still says its off but its not true, its on!
Google cast dont work(missing Widevine L1), use ugoos Firefly for casting videos and pics of your phone to the tvbox.

Link for Jiofi 2? Which version?

Any development in Jiofi M2 unlocking. Could you confirm Internal memory and RAM? I saw on quora that Jiofi M2 has RAM of 2GB LPDDR2 and 4GB NAND(what will they do with 4GB also it's not user accessible) . Why they need such a high RAM and memory capacity as device never consumed more than 106MB(RAM). Also new one has(Jiofi3) 512 MB(That too only LPDDR instead of LPDDR2) and only 1GB NAND. Seems like Jiofi2 is actually better than Jiofi3. Also i think they are using cheaper cpu and motherboard(like spreadtrum) as a cost cutting measure.
Btw after Feb 2017 firmware update which only add help menu decreased Internet spees. Now speed no longer as fast as oct firmware.

Hey OP why are you flashing Jiofi JMR 520 bin. It's for Jiifi 3 not Jiofi M2.

I couldn't find any info on Qualcomm mdm 9307. Are you sure it is 9307 not 9207-1?
Also Juifi M2 looks like Andromax M2Y. Maybe both are same.

yes the new PEG_M2_B34 update has made speed slow with frequent disconnections (internet does not work unless JioFi is restarted). Did you find any solution? Went to service center and after a lot of queue (they do not deposit device, sit there like idiot waiting for your turn) finally when my number came the JioFi worked pretty smooth with downloading speed of 3MB/sec. Trolled me.

Any updates in unlocking JIOFI 2 device. Actually, the device switches to Band 3 or 5 effectively reducing the internet speed. I'm looking for a way to have the device stick in Band 40 on which it gives awesome speed.

Any progress yet ?
As Abraham79 said, the speed on band 40 (~8-13 Mbps) is way faster than band 5 or band 3(~300Kbps to 1Mbps)
My jiofi 3 also had a firmware update and since then it rareeeeeeeeeely connects to band 40. :crying:
On using web developer tools and disabling all styles for the admin page I found it had many hidden setting like changing the mode between FDD and TDD :fingers-crossed: ......................but it cannot be saved as page doesn't work after disabling styles
am totally fed up with this poor speed, will research and try for some more days then quit this:crying:

Looks like its impossible to lock jiofi2 to band 40. If someone can take firmware from jiofi i.e. Jiofi 1 and make it able to install on jiofi2 then we can get band 40 only because jiofi 1 has only band 40 supported

JioFi Me is working horribly after a new auto update of firmware version PEG_M2_B34. The speed is incredibly low and intermittently disconnecting. All rebooting, resetting done with no use. Anyway to uninstal the update or other firmware update etc. Please help. I stopped uding the device

1st: here is JioFi HD internal photo maybe used for something (look the attachment)
2nd: I would dont wast time to port android but look for LEDE (https://lede-project.org)

Hello guys, sorry for creating a thread.
I've been checking some info about our Mi 6 and Z2 Force and looks like they have the same camera sensor and the same processor.
Is it possible to port the Moto Camera to our Mi 6 like they did with Redmi Note 3 Pro (slow motion mode and 60fps 1080p recording) ?
Do you know any idea on where to start (if I would do it by myself) since i've already tried with no success, copying some blobs and drivers from Z2 Force?

Mi 6 recognizes the new blobs, "runs" in 120fps (screen fps) but doesn't record it on the file.....
I tried several media_profiles, but nothing works on paper yet.

Update, 720p 120fps working much better at greater detail.

Well, I could not activate 240FPS yet because I have no clue on how to introduce this new lib to Mi 6 (since we don't have this feature)
60fps doesnt work in 1080p because MI 6 doesn't write 60fps videos. It records (because I can see the difference in screen fps during the recording).
Even though I changed the media_profile, it doesn't seem to work.

Got access to Mate 10 pro firmware.
I'm gonna check its libs and try.
I guess what makes difference is the other 20mp bw sensor and bigger apperture.

20mp bw is for portrait mode, wide aperture, they using filter only with AI to automatic scene on photos.. main camera 12 mp imx386.

Portrait Mode Problems???

past 3 days ago i'm purchase Honor 7x. its back camera shows portrait mode is enable but it's not blur the background (bokey mode also enable) even aperture mode blur the background. i'm thing it's only happen in my device or not plz any one clear my daut...

Before taking photo check on screen portrait mode is enabled. Most important you should touch the object which you want to focus.You will see circle on the object then shoot...You will surely get..

Same problem here. I used this wide aperture button and it even blurred things the way I want it to, but when you make a shoot, you got just normal photo without any side effects

I have also faced the same problem with my honor 7x..I have already tired camera data clear and camera app force stop but nothing is working. Anybodys give me the proper solution.?

Just tried this with my Mate SE and it works. The wide aperture does have a scale down at the bottom, to adjust the significance of the effect. Slid it all the way left and it works pretty well.

So, it looks like the 'wide aperture' setting is available for the back camera (pic above), but the selfie camera has, instead, the bokeh setting (they both, essentially, mean the same thing).
I verified the selfie camera with the bokeh setting works fine also, on mine. But started to wonder if this is software implemented etc.

Yea, forget about EIS in GCam with Xiaomi phones. And no it doesn't work with Mi 9 neither Mi 8 and etc.

Not sure if is possible to get EIS in the k20 but there are other xiaomi that have:

It's compatible with k20/mi9t?

Good camera apk and work well in LineageOS 16.0 Gsi. The only imperfection is that cant support the main camera(IMX586)'s real 48MP mode.

so still no 48 megapixel raw?

48 megapixel most likely will not be available ever.. Xiaomi bad implementation compared to Zenfone 6

Good news, this ver MGC_6.1.021_MI8_V2e-fu24_Aux2way_4Lens-03g-snapcam.apk give you:
- 48 mpx option ( not test)
- 3 lens work, easy to choose lens

Thx. Good one but i prefer 6.2 with libs support. Hope he upload his snapcam.apk version soon, the dual version one wont let us pick the lens menu.
Btw try use app cloner on The beta k20 pro on this thread. It got the best night sight imo with the pro mode (shutter speed slider on viewfinder).
Until our k20 pro get all lens working this is how i deal with it. Get the best possible out come
Enable AI AWB in HDR+ enhanced and libs : Fi v4a
Pick pixel 3a Xl as base for main camera.

48mpx fake res.. outputs 12..

Fake 48m Yea but his 3 lens working great.
aux function doesnt work here yet on K20 pro version. But this k20pro port give good dynamic range which do not exposed in highlight.
i really wish u can improve or make it 3 button on screen too. Its really easy to switch cam this way
