MOTO Z2 FORCE Slow motion and Video modes port.

Hello guys, sorry for creating a thread.
I've been checking some info about our Mi 6 and Z2 Force and looks like they have the same camera sensor and the same processor.
Is it possible to port the Moto Camera to our Mi 6 like they did with Redmi Note 3 Pro (slow motion mode and 60fps 1080p recording) ?
Do you know any idea on where to start (if I would do it by myself) since i've already tried with no success, copying some blobs and drivers from Z2 Force?

Mi 6 recognizes the new blobs, "runs" in 120fps (screen fps) but doesn't record it on the file.....
I tried several media_profiles, but nothing works on paper yet.

Update, 720p 120fps working much better at greater detail.

Well, I could not activate 240FPS yet because I have no clue on how to introduce this new lib to Mi 6 (since we don't have this feature)
60fps doesnt work in 1080p because MI 6 doesn't write 60fps videos. It records (because I can see the difference in screen fps during the recording).
Even though I changed the media_profile, it doesn't seem to work.

Good, very well.. just wanna say, the huawei mate 10 pro using imx386 sensor and same as mi6, score 97 on dxomark, so we can try it later waiting your zip..

Got access to Mate 10 pro firmware.
I'm gonna check its libs and try.
I guess what makes difference is the other 20mp bw sensor and bigger apperture.

20mp bw is for portrait mode, wide aperture, they using filter only with AI to automatic scene on photos.. main camera 12 mp imx386.

For me it crashes all the time, I downloaded the previous beta and that one works like a charm.

I found some wired background hives in photos taken by google camera.

You do have to enable camera2api to use it.

I have the same problem, i'm testing a lot of mods but i have dot pattern in every yellow or red area. Does someone know a version without this problem? Thanks in advance.

I use 3 GCAM Ports and they all work for different situations the first one is the Selfie CAM which is by Arthur which is the only GCAM Port that works for Front Camera... the second one is V2 or the version (5) port which is the old non V3 GCAM which has kinda best processing and has alot of options I usually use that one for Rear Shots but I also have the V3 Port by BSG I think which is very similar to the V2 but has newer HDR Processing thing It works alright I switch between the V2 and V3 depending on the situation I also have the stock MIUI Camera cuz It's most stable If something goes wrong with rest.

According to most reviews the low light performance of the stock camera is poor. If the gcam mod will work on this phone I will probably buy it.

I think a lot of these phone's stock camera apps have issues with low light situations. And Gcam seems to solve this. But it may disable other features like slow motion video for instance. I was strongly considering buying the Galaxy A50, but the photos were really poor. That's why I was wondering about this phone. Thanks for the feedback.
The Redmi Note 7 Global version and Redmi Note 7 Pro version take great photos and videos especially with Gcam.

Bought an A70 today and I can confirm that Gcam works with HDR+ and HDR+ Enhanced. The version I'm using now only allows for 8mp though so images are smaller than from the stock camera.

I just tried the first I found after googling for one for the S10. I guess any version for Snapdragon should work theoretically. Yes RAW works. Have not changed any settings really just installed and started shooting. Will try other versions as I want to utilize 12mp instead of the 8mp this version is limited to. I have made some comparison shots in another forum if you want to see you can download full images from there and compare. Gcam has more details even though they are only 8mp compared to 12mp from stock camera. But stock camera is not as bad performer as I expected.

Wow! It really is working like a charm! RAW is working, too. Hopefully, we'll be getting manual ISO settings etc soon.

Gcam surely does wonders to the A70's camera module. Hopefully we'll be getting full 32mp support in the near future, too.

Gcam is working great. GD1 camera sensor are not properly detected by 3rd party apps though.

Works well, but on my G960U *stock* model the camera preview on both front and back camera is slow, very low frame rate. Other than that, this is the best gcam that has ever worked for me.
Edit- this also includes portrait mode. I also noticed the autofocus is a bit weird when I comes to focusing on the object, it kinda jumps back and forth with the adjustment. Autofocus still functional though.

Been using on my snapdragon canadian S9 for a little while and I've had no issues. Thanks so much.

On my S9 in the slow motion mode I can swap from 1/4x to 1/8x but I can't swap back to 1/4x and when it does the app fc.
All other features seems to work fine! Great job!

how to force the optical camera on GCam?
Thank you very much my dear, you have done an excellent job.
I have tried every way to understand the functioning of the camera with optical zoom in relation to the main sensor and discovered what determines the activation of camera 2x are the luminosity conditions, however did some tests to check a hypothesis.
The first test comprised obstructing the main sensor with applied zom 2x in the application of native camera and in an instant the optic sensor was triggered even with low luminosity.
The second test was to use the dynamic focus, therefore sensor 2x always remains worked without adding or decreasing the zoom.
My hypothesis is if it would be possible independent software hardware would be able to alternate from the main sensor for the sensor with optical zoom 2x, but esssa hypothesis is no logic, because the way dynamic focus force the use of optical sensor, then software yes can control the secondary sensor.
My question is; Is it possible that the Gcam forces the use of the sensor with optical zoom 2x, and that can be used it independently as an auxiliary camera?

The app says "No Storage Found" when clicking in the dark area to install the XML. Any ideas?

Just wanted to update that Urnyx's 7.3 v2.4: GCam_7.3.018_Urnyx05-v2.4.apk works perfect on the LG Wing.
Just enable the second lens from the settings , enable HDR+ Enhanced etc..
Results are much better than stock.
Actually, pretty good camera with gcam.

Im using the BSG model from their telegram group. Just tested selfie. Damn my skin tone way better even compared to the selfie from my pixel 5. Pixel 5 somehow gave warmer result.

Using the GCam I've noticed a couple of nice things.
1. The camera app does not take over your music app like a stock camera app.
2. Some picture quality improvements. (i am looking forward to testing in dark environments)... Stock app was marginal.

HDR+ Control enabled
wide angle auxiliary lens enabled.
4k time-lapse (not tested)
4k video (not tested)

I don't know if we can ever really "expect" anything... These two gcams above are pretty good. I thibk stock is pretty good also. Each camera seems to do something a little better than the others.
For simplicity I'm back using the stock camera.

No really stock camera app sucks its worst, gcam mod is really great but gcam does not support gimbal mode thats the problem
