you need to flash cwm recovery first and do a full wipe. I think the backup folder is clockworkmod/backup/"date". I find it easier to just wipe then do a backup, even though is nothing on your phone, and this will give you the file structure you need. then go to the "backup/date" folder and delete the contents and replace them with your saved backup and flash it. and dont forget to flash the boot.img from your backup too

[Q] Need to recover file from nandroid backup?!

Hi all,
I need to recover some information from my phone from before I flashed a new ROM, and wondering what's the easiest way about it based on the scenario given below;
I was running a rooted stock ROM (LB) with TWRP. I used titanium to batch backup my apps ( but seem to have overlooked my notepad app which had info in it that I now need.)
I installed resurrection remix which comes with CWM so can't just do a new nandroid, then restore the old one to get the info, then re-restore the newer backup.
Is there a way to extract the info direct from my twrp backup on my SD/ laptop or do I need to/is it possible to flash TWRP to replace CWM and keep the rest of the ROM as-is?
TIA
If you are just recovering a file, and not restoring the backup itself, try using nandroid manager. I can extract a file from my nandroid backup (created by cwm). I never tried it with twrp nandroid backup though.
Other option is to try to flash the Dual Recovery on your phone.
Then you have TWRP and CWM on your phone.

Deleted internal storage

Hi all,
I deleted the internal storage on my phone, and cant seem to flash a stock image using oden. I get a write protection error. I have custom recovery, and I am able to flash a few of the roms out there but not all. My main issue is I can not get a GPS signal lock using any rom. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Do you have a nandroid backup from your custom recovery that includes the EFS and Modem backed up from current update? Example: OG5.

Unfortunately I do not have a nandroid backup, it also got deleted.
I was getting a auth error using oden because I was downgrading. Flashing the latest samsung image resolved the issue for me.

Hello @Nilshalok,
use the GUIDE from the official OnePlus Forum for backing up your EFS without TWRP.
use oficial twrp from here https://dl.twrp.me/oneplus3/. i used this for the first backup of efs,and then, the most important thing i restored my efs when i lost it.

You need to flash the vendor.img that matches your OS base whenever you move between Google security updates. Flash that image before booting. Everything else can be left alone.
