What should i do ?
You should not get this error if you are truly on that version
Are you sure you are downloading this
http://www.shipped-roms.com/downloa...00.32U_5.09.05.30_2_release_143921_signed.exe
If it indeed gives you CID error than this wasn't your original firmware.
In that case make a goldcard and flash a generic WWE RUU or the Asian one again.
goldcard
I had exactly the same problem, but already rooted and had AmonRa recovery. My device is also a new PVT-4... luckily I had a goldcard, and did a nand backup.
I do not know of any solution, except Goldcard one, but hardly possible, since you cannot boot the device. if somehow you manage to get to your CID, look at this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7826990&postcount=8
Make sure u did everything right and it should work hope it helps
Dude, did you try booting the updated Alpharev CWM recovery through ADB ? Or if you can still enter fastboot, try unrevoked one more time, but this time with custom recovery (updated CWM). This should solve the MISC problem and allow you to flash custom ROMs.
Also, when in fastboot or recovery, did you try creating a goldcard, also through ADB?
If this doesn't help, i think it's time for warranty...
some one posted this solution will this work ?
got desprate while my friend Desire is semi bricked.
usb , wifi , ADB is not worked...constant reboot happened...
tried to flash almost RUU from http://www.shipped-roms.com/shipped/Bravo/ without success
i knew my success key to solve this problem is creating goldcard to flash the RUU
I cannot get CID for goldcard...because ADB, wifi and usb not worked..only fastboot is worked
I tried to create goldcard using nexus one and my sdcard...
1.format my nexus sdcard using fat32 partitiion.
2.generate the reserve CID with goldcard helper (you can download it from market)
3.i am follow guide from http://www.droid-den.com/android-gui...te-a-gold-card
from step 12 to step 19 (using SDcard adapter with my pc)
4.put that goldcarded sdcard to the semi bricked desire
5. flash RUU rom you want....(please also do some research before you do this)
Sucesss!!

You clearly don't know wat your doing, you already might have bricked it by flashing your asia rom with a wwe rom, you can't flash it if you don't have a goldcard.

Hello,
I am currently running android 4.1.1 with software number; 3.14.401.31.
When I check for updates it shows the software update: 3.20.401.1 (35.66 MB).
When I press install now my phone reboots itself and starts in recovery mode.
When it's loaded it shows the following error:
E: unknown volume for path [INTERNALSDCARD: Download/OTA_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.20.401.1-3.14.401.31_R_release_314818virsindn3qwws1r3.zip]

Installation aborted.
Ofc I can download the OTA zipfile from the internet, but then I have the following problem; when I connect my phone to usb:
My own pc cannot find my phone. When I try to connect my phone to an other pc, it also cannot find my phone.
Hope someone can help me out.
Not unimportant: I have rooted my phone and I have unlocked the bootloader.
Maybe I have to relock the bootloader at first?

if you have SU binaries etc in system then install from market or so voodoo keeper then save root and uninstall root binaries then go to fastboot flash stock recovery for your base number like 3.14.401.31...you can get it if you search then relock bootloader and download and install the ota
Are you on stock recovery ?
To receive and successfully install OTA updates you need:
Unlocked or Locked bootloader - doesn't matter
Rooted or Not Rooted - doesn't matter
STOCK ROM
STOCK KERNEL
STOCK RECOVERY
If you have there 3 things than you should be able to install OTAs with no problems
get stock recovery for your particular CID from "Nandroid Backup Collection" thread and flash it in fastboot command prompt. i've gone through this exercise recently.
or you can get your stock recovery from here as well....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957376
just find your cid, download and extract recovery.img
Hi guys,
I'm hoping someone can help me I'm desperate.
I have rooted my HTC One X - and i wanted to install a new ROM. Maybe about a month ago now I got stuck and left it as I had a replacement phone. Now the replacement is messed up and I need this phone back on-line so I'm pleading with someone to help me. On top of that if it wasn't bad enough I lost all my data on pc.
It a nutshell, once I successfully rooted my phone I followed some guidance online and installed clockworkmod recovery v6.0. 4.8. at the time I had then been able to connect my phone to pc and copied over the following zip files:
cm-11-20140804-SNAPSHOT-M9-endeavoru.zip and
gapps-kk-20140606-signed.zip.
I followed the instructions and wiped all data factory reset, including the partitions and wiped dalvik cache.
I then installed the ROM zip followed by the gapps zip rebooted the phone and it would not pass the white HTC screen and was perm stuck on this. I have tried everything and I'm pulling my hair out. Read so much day on end and feel like I'm just getting no where. I don't like stating threads as i normally find my answers.
I would really appreciate some support or guidance to fix this issue please.
Please see below the following is showing on my boot-loader screen. The problem I'm having is that I cant access the phone at all and it just wont connect it to the PC to allow me to copy new files over to the storage to then run via recoverymod. How can I do this please. as its just sticks.
Yesterday I read something about boot.img I then downloaded Flash_boot_33.x_0.1 and ran the install-boot windows. This has all run OKAY. After which when I reset the phone it went past the white HTC screen on to the cyanogenmod and I thought sorted, how wrong was I where I now have a blue spinning arrow, and it continues till battery dies.
This is how my boot-loader screen reads:

Are you flash Philz 5.15.9 there 100% the mount sd card work tested more then 100 times. Exactly Philz 5.15.9. To flash recovery you need only fastboot
So what your saying is that I can download this flash Philz 5.15.9 and then run it via my pc through fastboot. This should then boot my phone properly.
I cant find flash Philz 5.15.9 download any links.
Thanks
Correction - found the link -

Right so I have downloaded Philz 5.15.9 and I have run the exe on pc. Nothing has happened, how do I copy to sd storage or copy anything to the sd card. I am unable to get past boot screen when i turn phone on.
Yes finally sorted if anyone is interested to how, its seems like I had the wrong boot img. So from my original download folder I used fastboot to run just the boot.img and its working now, i used the below instructions step by step and used my boot img.
Result.

Hello everyone,
I have a stock Verizon Incredible 2 running Gingerbread 2.3.4 OTA which is stuck at HBOOT.

Things I've already done:
Tried booting with/without SD Card.
Tried booting with/without SIM Card.
Attempted to boot into recovery from HBOOT which gives the HTC spash screen, followed by "Updating Software from Verizon Wireless", followed by a picture of a Smartphone with a Red Triangle and Exclamation Point. The phone then reboots itself after 60 seconds.
While I'm on the Red Triangle screen, I'm able to load Android system recovery <3e> using Power and Volume Up, but it gives the following errors and then reboots after 60 seconds:
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E:Can't mount DATA
E:Can't mount /data/data/recovery/log
E:Can't open /data/data/recovery/log

and extracted the included rom.zip to grab all the .img files (btw what's up with the 256 byte header in that zip? some kind of signature?)
Setup USB drivers on my PC so fastboot can talk with the phone
Attempted to use fastboot flash and fastboot boot to replace or temporarily use the boot_signed.img and got signature verify fail because HBOOT is locked.
Used fastboot to retrieve identifier token
Attempted to unlock HBOOT from HTCDEV
Unlocking Bootloader Failed with Error Code: 172. Error Reason: CID Not Allowed (MID not exist in Model Rule).
Was relieved to discover that it didn't work when I read that unlocking HBOOT erases all my data by design. (In the dozens of articles I've researched, nobody bothered to mention that small detail.)
Background:
I don't really care about the phone itself, but if at all possible, I need to recover the calendar data from it; I use calendar after client appointments to track time spent onsite. Google calendar sync went crazy about 6 weeks ago and any event I created on the phone would be immediately deleted from the phone. To solve this and keep tracking my time (yes, I know I should have just upgraded my phone at that point), I had to disable sync with Google, so the data exists only on the phone. Basically what I'm looking at is the only record of all my billable time for the last 6 weeks (most of my clients are on net30 or net60), so this is very important.
I never rooted the phone because of the requirement for the 2.3.3 downgrade and the subsequent data wipe, and the lack of backup options without root.
I believe I accidentally softbricked my Sprint HTC 10. This was my first attempt at rooting a cell phone, therefore my knowledge about the subject is quite limited. I had followed two videos by "ROOTJUNKY" on youtube (How to Unlock the Bootloader on your HTC device like the HTC 10 & How to Root the HTC 10 and Install TWRP Recovery). I successfully completed all steps in unlocking my bootloader, however after I installed TWRP and tried to download/install the suggested supersu.zip. Now my phone is stuck in an unlimited bootloop. The bootloop shows the green HTC logo on a white background and below that a message saying "This build is for developement purposes only Do not distribute outside of HTC without HTC's written Permission. Failure to comply may lead to legal action." I can enter HTC Download mode and Bootloader (mode?). While in bootloader I can click recovery Mode and launch TWRP. I do not have a backup/recovery to load. When I connect the phone via USB to my windows computer it does not recognize the device (unless I go into TWRP and mount USB Storage; When I do this the device appears as (G and only contains 3 empty folders labeled .android_secure, Android, and LOST.DIR) When connected the computer as device (G I can go into command prompt and access adb, however it shows the device in RECOVERY and I cannot do anything else. Another weird thing is that when I am in HTC Download Mode it does not show my CID, MID, or Color.

Get the full RUU.exe for your device from HTC's website. Download this to your computer.
From a powered off state, hold VOLUME DOWN while powering on the device to access download mode.
Connect the device to the PC while in this state and run the ROM update from your computer.
This should restore your system.
Remember to use the current and correct versions of TWRP and SuperSU for your device. ROOT JUNKY's videos were from quite a ways back if I recall.
Thanks to all... I have solved the problem...
I ended up flashing the latest version of Venom and somehow it worked  :fingers-crossed:

It worked because the ROM contains a newer version of SuperSU that is compatible with Nougat.
There is a newer one now, but there is no need to flash it. I'm using the version that comes with the ROM as well.
EDIT: I'm not sure what version of TWRP you are using, but you should update that as well to version 3.1.1-0
