Hi all!,
I got my One Plus 3 last week and yesterday it completely stopped vibrating.
Its not vibrating when I receive calls, notifications, keyboard strokes etc etc
I have rebooted more than 5 times now..
Any ideas? I dont want to factory restore but it looks like the only option for now..
thanks
Dumb question - did you accidentally turn on the phisical mute button on the top left of the phone? Try putting it completley down. If there are no vibrations whatsoever afterwords, you might want to try installing a vibration tester app. If it still doesn't work, chances are the vibration motor is dead and you need to get your phone repaired. I mean factory resetting might be worth a try but I doubt it will make a difference.

I feel you man.. sucks sometimes. But when they shipped directly to you, I'm very certain they will take it back again..
Maybe someone else might have a fix before that, who knows..

I was on att site looking at the plans, what's funny they had plans with unlimited incoming calls. So I called about what they had on the site, they said they didn't have that but my phone is stuck on it and a soft reset won't work, I can't turn my phone off or nothing, what's the problem ?
i have a simple fix - take the battery out. then put it back in. "power cycling" usually works when a soft reset doesnt work. good luck

I don't know has anyone had this problem but when I take the battery and put it back it go to the same screen after it loads up. I don't know what I did but something is seriously wrong .
Next step is hard reset.

What screen are you stuck on? If you deny the phone power, it cannot come back to the we browser?
I down a rom from here and flash my D810, after flash, ever thing ok. Then I installed a Chinese language pack. After installed, the two function key can not work. I think was the Chinese Language pack problem. So I uninstalled it. Now is the problem coming. My D810 can not start. Only stay in start logo. Hardreset also not work. Can not go to bootloader. Now what can i do. Please help me, thanks~~~~~
Hi there.
Switch off your phone and switch it back on pressing power and camera buttons together. This should lead you to Hard-SPL "Menu". After the appearance of a multi-color screen, you are able to connect your phone to a computer and install a new ROM.
My advice is to try the original HTC Rom, which can be found on Original Roms Post. This should let you test default factory configuration and validate if the problem has something to do with the keyboard or just the ROM.
Thank you for your reply. But the big problem is I can not go to the multi-screen color. I try it many time. I think my D810 end.

Never End... (Hopefully)
Could it be that one of your buttons is not pressing all the way? I've had trouble lately getting a couple of my buttons to press. Try pressing just a "Little" harder taking care not to break anything.
And just to confirm: You are holding down 'Power', 'Camera', and then pressing and releasing 'Reset'? I'm sure you are, I just wanted to confirm.
I do this many many time, just stay in start logo and the key are no response
I was hoping to help you on the cheapest way... The other one, is disassemble it... Check Dimanto's guide, which i can confirm, is good. Just did it step-by-step and it is perfect...
Dimanto's Guide to disassemble Trinity
if what SuperSport was suggesting is not valid (keys got stuck) maybe you have a MoBo problem if it's only a keyboard, it's cheap enough to repair, i hope...
Something I had not thought about previously... Have you tried to remove the Battery for about 30 Seconds to see if it will reset?
I not yet try this, after try this, I report to you, thx~~
I think can not disassemble it, it is to difficult for me, any way thank you very much.

If you decide not to try to fix it, don't throw it away. I'm sure people on here would be willing to buy it to try to fix it, or for parts.
If you want to try to remove the battery, you need to slide the back plate up. It does take a little force if you've never done it before. Use your thumbs and push it up.
Edit: Place your thumbs where the large circles are in the attached image and press up towards the camera lense, sliding the backplate up.
Good luck.
I removed the battery around 20 hours, the answer is same. Still stay in start logo.
I didn't throw it away, i want to fit it. I like this phone very much. I hope it alive again, thanks~~

I'm sorry that none of the simple things have worked. It sounds as though pjvieira might be right. It may be a hardware issue. Hopefully just the buttons, but maybe the motherboard. pjvieira's suggestions would be the next thing to try.
Good luck, and let us know how it turns out.

I think is the hardware problem. Maybe the OS damage, so only stay in start logo. Maybe sent to shop for maintence.
i flashed the destroyer ROM and now my vibrate wont work for anything, not even wen u put the volume all the way down for it to show its on vibrate. It did work before i flashed the ROM i also did re-flash it and wiped everything and it still doesn't work, any help?
try a nandroid restore and see if that fixes your problem and if not then wipe everything and install as sprint ruu rom and one more thing . Post questions in the Q&A forum... they WILL be answered.!!!!

Not sure about that one. All I know is that I've had this same problem before and had to install the RUU to repair it.

I know this might sound weird but I had the vibration in my EVO start to get weaker and then stop altogether. Turns out the little spinning vibrating motor got jammed.
I fixed it by standing on my bed, holding my phone parallel to the ground, screen facing the ceiling and dropping it from about 3 feet onto a pillow. The jolt kick-started my haptic feedback back to life! Test it by holding the Vol Down button until your phone enters vibrate-only mode.
Hope that does it!

Thanks! I've been lurking and doing a LOT of reading and learning since last December (mainly in the development forum) But I think I'm ready to have a voice and use the knowledge I've acquired to help out my fellow flashaholics!
Anyway, didn't mean to hijack the thread! See you guys around and good luck with the vibration problem!

No idea what could be causing it, never happened to me. Try a factory reset if possible.
Have you flashed any roms or kernels? Does your phone heat up?

Go to developer settings and make sure they are all turned off if they are then.....
If you haven't unlocked the bootloader and factory reset doesn't work then call htc and book a repair

As the title suggests, my screen is inoperable but I can hear notifications come through, so it's booting up. Any way to get unbacked data off of it?

I'd say plug it in to the computer and try getting into the phone.. You might have to tap on the screen even though it's broken it could probably still accept touch and you'll need to try to tap "ok" in order to get access or you'll have to try to use smart switch app to try.
The screen is unresponsive, I can't even try to guess where the buttons are to enter the pin

Your best bet is try to find a screen then.. I had that problem 1 time in my life and I found a screen on Ebay that was cracked pretty badly but it still worked and it allowed me to at least connect it and get my stuff transferred.. You should also check your gmail account because the Google account you have a lot of the phones backup themselves automatically and you might be able to get it back onto another phone.

I would be able to help you get what you need off the phone if youre in the NJ area. Ive been able to help out people in similar situations before. Just let me know if you have exhausted other options and you dont mind handing over your phone temporarily to a complete stranger . Seriously though, I can see if I can help.
