The driver installed is Samsung Usb Driver v1.5.60.0
Update: I tried flashing TWRP recovery via Heimdall and it appears to have completed successfully saying "RECOVERY upload successful" but when i reboot immediately after into Recovery mode it still sticks at the TWRP 3.0.0-0 Splash Screen then attempts to reboot normally which as mentioned earlier also sticks on samsung slash screen

Gday,
I tried to install Alpha 11 of CM10 on my phone today without backing up existing rom (please don't hammer me for that, I know it was dumb)
Anyway, the boot animation for CM was up for ages so I tried to go back into fastboot but now it just sits there with the
"checking SD card update..." text there and just doesn't progress. I am assuming this is a dead phone?
thank you anyone who tries to help me out here

Never proceed without back ups !
Have you tried flashing the boot.img from the rom?
Did you wipe cache/dalvik cache?
If all else fails, try to find the RUU for your device?
Hope this is helpful..
really sorry, had power plugged in....
Did you flash the correct boot.img through fastboot?

Hahaha okay !
A generalization for android devices if you can still enter bootloader then its not bricked.
Nope , not a dead phone ...

Hi, I have just solved this problem by charging, changing the cable and unpluging. Then I installed JB Android_Revolution_HD-One_X_33.1, but it stucks on HTC logo.
I have S-ON and HBOOT 1.31. CWM 5.8.4.0.
What should I do now?
Thanks.

So i have decompiled, modded and recompiled the framework-res.apk of factory image and now you can have the status+nav bar traslucent even in lockscreen (for traslucent bar in launcher you need Google Launcher) just flash it on a custom recovery
16O (old factory image):
Download Here
Mirror:
SpeedyShare
Dev-Host
16S (new factory image):
Download
Mirror:
Speedyshare
If you got bootloop get here the restore zip file:
16O:
Download
16S:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/bf8byqcmi2ymt72/framework-original.zip
THIS IS ONLY FOR FACTORY IMAGE (i have tested only on that)
Thanks to @Quinny899 for the Guide
getting bootloops on stock factory image
everything works fine now, thanks OP
using TWRP 2.6.3.0 and SuperSu v1.69 with official factory image, clean install.
and everyone who wants to try this out still download the restore just in case.
What kind of modifications did you have to make to framework-res.apk?
If you forgot the restoration, put it in your ADB folder, enter recovery and flash on sideload (CWM)
not work for me the translucent effect.
Also didnt work for me. Tried to adb sideload, but adb now wont recognize device while in bootloader fastboot or recovery
Getting a bootloop here as well, factory image with cwm

Uhm really strange guys... Btw I have only changed to true the option for translucent in bools.XML file on framework/res/value folder.. And then compiled with apktool and flashed. Really really strange.. Someone got bootloop even after flash the restore file? BTW I have flashed it with twrp latest version...

I made my own mod framwork-res.apk, properly signed. It also bootloops.
Not sure why.
Here's another (yes it's different) flashing zip, let me know if this work---> https://mega.co.nz/#!h8tCXJ6Q!V1uCsjJ_SMz-jougWpB69WZr9BN4nJdihXeu0mI2mv8 sorry guys it's my first time of "modding" i've tried on my device the first time and work totally so i thought to share with community... sorry for the trouble... hope this one will work (i can't try since here it's 5:45 am and i'm writing by pc in stealth mode )
Try this if the two above doesn't work, and let me know if this work... if doesn't i'll try better tomorrow since i need to rest some time...
maybe can share with you what i do in the first time (before sharing my zip with you) i've modded the apk, signed with multitool then flashed: result bootloop, after i have flashed the res-tore.zip booted and recompiled the apk without signing then flashed and it was working... so i have uploaded to mega.. it's really strange because my framework-res.apk isn't signed but work. (maybe is a permission problem?)
Hm, as the factory image is odexed, isn't that causing the issue ?

Hi... I wanted to ask something... Is my phone completely useless? Can i fix it?
The problem (Now) is that phone won't boot normally (won't boot into android), and stays on Samsung logo (Shown in photo).. Then i try to boot normally (not in recovery), phone just keep restarting over and over again. Same with safe mode... I can boot into recovery.
Story goes:
I used Cyanogen mod 13 custom rom
Few days ago i was playing with my phone and it discharged completely... I turned it on with charger and continued to play.. Charger was broken (but kind of worked), so my phone turned off again... After an hour charging i tried to boot it... It showed my custom boot animation and phone just turned off.... I tried again, and it turned off again..... Third time i tried to turn it on, it showed cyanogen boot animation (that blue thing)....Then i booted to recovery mode and tried to install same rom, but it failed. Then i tried to boot phone again, but this time it just showed Samsung logo.... After 10 minutes i tried to install original Samsung rom using Odin, but it stayed on 3% for few hours and failed.... After this phone asked to fix it using Kies.. I tried, but it said "Kies does not support initializing" (something like that)... After this i tried to install CWM custom recovery with Odin (in download mode) and it failed.... After i turned off phone, i never turned it on again....
(i tried to install original rom using another USB cable)
Now then i try to connect phone to pc using USB cable, phone sometimes vibrates, and windows makes that connecting sound (then you connect something to pc it makes that sound) and windows says "installing device driver software" and "installing device"
Is there a way to fix my phone without changing motherboard?
EDIT: I managed to turn on phone using debrick.img (4.2.2), and flashed stock 4.4.2 rom.. Now I'm stuck on Samsung logo... Any ideas how to fix that? I will try installing stock rom for 4.2.2.
EDIT: Installing another stock rom didn't help :/ (Duh)... (Dumbest idea ever )
I can't access recovery mode
Download mode says:
PRODUCT NAME: GT-I9195
CURRENT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
KNOX KERNEL LOCK: 0x0
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x1
CSB-CONFIG-LSB: 0x30

If I understand you correctly, you simply want to leave your device decrypted in order to flash roms on the fly without the need to format. If this is true the other user correctly informed you to use fastboot to format your userdata. After that you will need a custom kernel which has the auto encrypt flag disabled. This will stop the stock rom from auto encrypting. I have not searched the thread but I imagine some after rom market roms will have this feature included.
I believe removing lockscreen security will allow you to flash roms and kernels. Please correct me if I am wrong.

That's what i did when i switched from OOS to CM13. That works perfect and my Phone is still encrypted. But if i flash a newer Snapshot, shoud i remove the lockscreen Security again or is it fine like it is. I mean, i got fingerprint security but it doesnt want a PIN when i reboot my phone.
