[Bug] Can't connect to SSID with French special character - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

Hi,
I'm in France now and I can't connect to a local Wlan with the name "Fréhel". It's displayed as "Fr hel" with a Chinese character in it. In my wlan password displayer app it's only named with a very long numerical code. Another hint that's something wrong with it. My wife with a Huawei smartphone has no problems with this SSID.

WiFi Tethering stopped working

Hi. Some days ago I noticed that my P8000 tethering function stopped working. After flashing the 20150725 build everything was working fine. Now, even when I am able to connect my laptop via WiFi, I get no Internet access at all. The android DHCP server seems to work just fine (I can see that the system gets a proper network configuration and also that the gateway is reachable via ping) but there has to be something wrong with the DNS server because my laptop is not able to resolve names. I have also try connecting other devices. The result is always the same.
Any idea about how to troubleshoot this issue? I would like to keep this ROM running until the next build is released by Elephone.
Thanks.

Hi,
I have not been able to Tether to my P8000 from new (About 2 weeks now)
I set up the HotSpot OK, other device can connect to the P8000, but there is no data movement.
Any idea's/suggestions would be great.
I'm currently running: Elephone_P8000_20150725
On 0909 here with Google Launcher
Try setting the DNS server on the tethered device to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (these are the Google ones). The issue is known and until we get an updated ROM, the DNS change works OK. You need to have done the ADB option first:

After doing this on my notebook, I was able to browse OK. Will try on my tablet tonight

Fire TV Stick 'Not in Range' of Router?!

Hello people! I wanted to see if anyone else has been having any similar problems as I have been having.
I have had TWO different Fire TV Sticks recently that have been unable to connect to a WIFI connection. Both of them were very close to the routers. They both had the same message when I attempted to connect to the WIFI connection: 'Not In Range'.
I typed the WIFI password in with all lowercase and then all caps. I reset the stick. I even restored the stick back to the factory defaults. Nothing worked.
Any ideas?
I guess you try to connect to 5 Ghz? Then you have to choose a fixed lower channel in your router. The fire tv afaik doesn't see higher 5 Ghz channel.
