Hello All,
My Device is SGH-M919...Rooted and was running Cyanogenmod 13.
Last week something went wrong (no idea what happened, but phone went black screen and when rebooted it just stays in boot loop)...Tried to went to recovery to clear cache and format so that i can start over, but it never boots into recovery....So, i re flashed TWRP (which i had earlier), but no joy...
So i decided, to flash the stock ROM and start all over again (not worried of backup as i have daily backup of my calls, sms, pics, videos etc)...
Tried flashing stock via ODIN, it shows succesful, but it still is in boot loop...it just shows the Samsung logo and restarts.....Tried to went to Recovery, but its not booting into Recovery, But am able to goto the Download mode and ODIN recognizes my device...
What am i doing wrong or what am i missing in the whole process of recovering my phone...
Any help is much appreciated.....
Note: I already moved to Moto X Pure, but still miss my S4....
Did you boot to stock recovery and perform a factory wipe before booting the stock rom for the first time?

Hey guys,
I went to flash a new stable build of Froyo on my Desire this morning.
And i backed up using Clockwork, and then the ROM all installed fine. But once the phone had booted up, it stayed on the custom boot logo, despite the keypad lighting up, the green charge LED coming on and me being able to lock and unlock the phone.
So i figured that this was a problem and went to back to restore my old ROM and carry on like i have done many times before. However once i have booted into Clockwork, and gone to the recovery section, i select my most recent backup and the device then says "No Files Found" in the recovery zip.
And when i try to install update.zip from my SDCard the device just flashes up with installation text for about 2 seconds then vanishes and goes back to the clockwork menu having done nothing
What can i do?
i wouldnt worry about it too much
your phone completely works and youre not restricted of any access
seeing that clockwork is not finding any files have you tried making a new backup?
have you tampered with the recovery lately?
if recovery is not finding any files then maybe there is a problem with it, and if i were you i'd reroot my phone with unrevoked to re-install recovery.
if your recovery actually just does not work it could mean that the recovery image is corrupt, this can be fixed by installing a RUU (note that this will unroot your phone but re-install the recovery image).
if this is not the case then im sure im soon to be corrected by someone more knowledgeable than me
Well, i wiped the Cache and Data and now the phone boots up and functions fine, however both mobile internet and Wi-Fi both dont work, but i figure this is just the rom i am using.
So i'm just gonna reroot, sideload clockwork and what not and then try putting the Desire HD rom on it haha.
Thanks for the help
The Problem: No matter what custom rom I load...it boots into an apparently endless display of the colorful boot animation that comes stock on the Nexus. I have to battery pull to get out of it. I've got an Unlocked/Rooted phone w/clockwork recovery working. I can backup and successfully restore the OEM rom I backed up after each failed custom rom install attempt.
I've been working through issue after issue all evening and have continued to hit the same problem no matter what my approach.
I've got Rom Manager and can download and load ROMS via it's GUI - or by booting into clockwork recovery and doing it manually by choosing the zip I previously downloaded. I've renamed the oem recovery file in system etc... still no joy getting anything to boot successfully except the OEM image I backed up.
Could someone point me in the right direction?

How long exactly are you waiting on the boot animation? when you first flash a new rom, it can often take a long time on this screen first boot up. be patient. dont pull the battery unless its been like 15 minutes
can you give us any info on what phone you are using, and which roms you tried?
When you flash a completely different ROM, you HAVE to do a full data wipe in CWM.
When you update the current ROM, you have to do a wipe cache and dalvik cache.
And like the guy above said, it can take a while on first boot.

Progress
First - Thanks for the help. I did a full data/cache wipe right before attempting to flash a ROM and it worked. Didn't even take longer than usual to boot into the OS.
I had done that earlier but I think it must have been the order I had followed or something. Regardless - I got a ROM up and running and can repeat the process reliably
Of course - there is another hurdle that I don't find anything on so far...if I add the google apps to the ROM I get stuck in a crashing Verizon login wizard. "Touch here" results in a crash message and the wizard restarts.
I can access settings and use the phone - but "Home" is the wizard.
I was trying to install AuroraPlay 1.1, everything was going fine, i unlocked my bootloader, installed doomkernel, booted it up and it was fine until then. Then i followed the next installation steps (factory reset, format system, and flashed the rom, did it all on Clockwork mod) and now the Xperia logo keeps looping. I can't enter recovery, the phone doesn't vibrate like it did before on the doomkernel screen and no matter what i press it just goes to the logo again
I'm pretty new to all this so i suppose i just made a common stupid mistake. Flashtool seems to still recognize my phone when i connect it in flash mode, but not for long, it disconnects itself and reconnects again but not in flash mode. Can i save my phone?
After removing the battery many times, and trying again and again, it booted into AuroraPlay
Everything looked normal, so i turned it off and on again to see if it was fixed, but it's looping again, and i still can't acess recovery
I can't think of anything i did differently when it booted successfully
Start from begining again:
-flash stock firmware and see does it boot up
-reflash doom kernel again, if you can enter fastboot mode (hold search when pluging in usb)
-boot rom again, to see if stock rom can boot up with doomlord kernel
-if you can, reset to recovery(keep pressing back button), format data and system and install Aurora again
If you manage to boot to (any) rom, check your sd card for errors, if any...
Around half an hour after my last post, i left my xperia looping for like 10 minutes to see if anything changed, then took out the battery and booted it up again
this time i managed to go into recovery, but didnt want to flash everything again so i just applied the doomkernel v14 wifi fix that i couldnt apply before
it then booted into the rom normally and i've been using it since without a problem
kinda afraid to reboot though
Hello People,
I have a strange issue with my Galaxy Nexus (GSM version), I am not sure if I have bricked it.
I was on Custom Rom.. but suddenly started facing issues..
My phone boots alright but after boot I am not able to use the phone for more than a minute, the phone starts to reboot.
I have tried the below troubleshooting steps.
1). Tried full wipe, factory reset thru recovery (TWRP), the recovery tool says factory reset was sucessfull but when i reboot the phone it still boots to the old custom rom and start rebooting every min or two.
2). Tried flashing a different custom rom after a clean wipe, but issue remains as above
3). Tried flashing a stock image thru odin tool, but it fails at a certain point (tried both 4.3.1 & 4.2.2 stock images) and abck to square one.
Is there anyway that i can get my phone up & running ? or it is a hardware issue ?
Please help me out here
try flashing the stock image through fastboot.
It seems like we have the same problem :/

I tried to update to the latest update to the Razer Phone and was able to install it successfully, but when I went to install Magisk on the new update, it caused the Wifi to stop working. For that reason, I tried to restore my old TWRP backup I made prior to updating which everything was working before updating. I wiped cache, dalvik, data and system and restored my old backup. Now when I try to boot, it gets stuck at the Razer logo and doesn't get past that. I also tried wiping data and restoring the system image only to no avail and it didn't do anything.
Have you tried booting to TWRP and booting The other [email protected]
How long did you wait on the Razer logo.. When I reset my phone after relocking it.. It took 10+min for first boot. I was scared it wasn't gonna work but I just left it alone and it eventually booted itself up

Thanks. I'll try that and see if it works. But I let it sit for 5 or so minutes.
Edit: I'll go ahead and add it was stuck at the Razer logo. It never got to the actual boot animation.
Edit 2: I let it sit for 20+ minutes and it wouldn't boot or get past the Razer logo.

Yes I've tried switching slots and it didn't work.
Any luck with the stuck at logo screen? I followed instructions from Razer and fkashall and now it won't boot to recovery download or system . It just hangs at the logo screen for better part of 2 hours now so it's not a waiting game .. any luck in fixing yours?
hi there, same here after flashing google pixel experience on razer phone1. seems to be a general problem for many users. Any hints?
Best regards
Michael
I have the same problem, but I wasn't updating or installed any new app. I was just ordering food from an app and then all of a sudden my phone restared and got stuck in a bootloop.
I reflashed the stock rom, over and over, slot a or slot b, hoping that would fix it somehow... it's just stuck there now. I could go into download mode and recovery mode. but, it's only until there.
now it's bootloop until it gets into download mode...

I could fix it. After flashing (even Android Pi) you have to do a factory reset.
IMPORTANT: THE FACTORY RESET IN TWRP DOES NOT WORK. So you have to flash the boot-sector in your system partition with the stock boot.img and reset to STOCK RECOVERY by typing "fastboot reboot" and pressing the vol-up button. Once in stock recovery, do a factory reset and return to bootloader. Now you can flash the boot.partition with twrp boot.img, install in recovery the stock boot.img, install the twrp-installer.zip and reboot to system. The bootlogo will not stuck anymore.
I hope, I could help you. Do not forget to backup before trying.
Best regards
