With which rom are you flashing gapps? And btw our system partition is app. 800mb. The free space you were talking about is internal storage.

Whatever ROM you flash it installs in system partition , where in system we have about 800 mb free space but its not always we get 800mb because some in-build system files are included so flashing for example miui x.x.x any version we have about 700 mb size of miui official ROMs where as custom ROMs with 350-400 mb approx. So the difference is miui rom has its own system so when you flash miui through adb (not recovery) it will reset even system partition to its ROM so firmware problems can be solved using this and when you flash through recovery it doesn't matter much to the system. So comming to custom ROMs as said it takes about 400mb approx. memory and for gapps you should only use pico or nano from opengapps.org which has approx size of 80-150mb and can be flashed without error . or download Gapps aroma package and select what you want in Gapps to be included (for advanced users) . So for now just download pico and flash and after that manually download google apps that you want from play store ..

But I am flashing with pico package

Its not about internal space!! system partition is completely different and reserves many things including your recovery fastboot blocks (ext4/) file system which takes space . you might heard that when buying phone advertisers or specs says it has 8GB ROM but you get 5.60 Gb approx. So these partition blocks are coded with specific sizes so you install ROM .. !!! Custom ROM with Gapps pico or some nano... I have used including Gapps aroma package .. With all sorts of custom ROM ihve used ..Any how I wanted to know what's problem with Gapps pico !!

Sorry for my poor knowledge.here is that debug log

Yeah ..IDK what went wrong.

Just take back up of your data .. I promise you will be able to flash Gapps pico successfully using this method
Copy custom ROM to SD card and Gapps pico too
Note: Gapps pico should be only downloaded in opengapps.org for "arm" architecture and 6.0 or depending on ROM..
After copying
Just goto twrp
Goto wipe there select advanced
I'm advanced select these..
1. Dalvik/art cache
2. Cache
3. Data
4. Internal
Remember all are mandatory to be checked than swipe right it will be wiped.
Now open install section select external SD card
Firstly flash ROM you wanted to flash .. After flashing
Go select Gapps Pico version and just flash by swiping to right..
That's it reboot now after optimization apps.. Setup wizard and done
If any problem feel free to ask..!!

Internal memory is not mandatory and mean while you forgot to mention system. That must be wiped for not getting this error.

Nothing will be gone. Twrp has separate partition and only the rom will be wiped out.

As i read your gapps debug log. I noticed that you did not wipe the data that's the problem .. which lead to dirty installation.. To do clean fresh installation just wipe data dalvik cache , cache if wanted everything to be neat and clean install wipe off internal

Did you ever wiped system.. Like when you enter twrp .. There will be a pop up screen asking to keep system partition read only or rewritable like thing.. In your case just swipe with mount r/w system than wipe out system.. With ROM everything will be gone INCLUDING twrp

[Q]

Hi Folks
I'm very new to all this stuff. I have rooted my Desire and installed
[ROM] RunnymedeMod007 (Sense 3.5 | GB 2.3.5 | A2SD+) [STOCK | CM7] [v09 | 29/12
The Rom itself seems to be working ok but I get the following problems:
When trying to load applications it says it has stopped unexpectedly and is asking me to click force close.
Also, when turning phone on I get the message System UIDs Inconsistent - UIDs on the system are inconsistent. You need to wipe your data partition or your device will be unstable.
Any help would be great as I'm lost.
Wipe dalvik cache and cache. Run a full wipe before flashing new rom?

[Q] problem play store with CyanogenMod 11.0 | KitKANG | PRE-ALPHA | v0.8

I've installed the CyanogenMod 11.0 | KitKANG | PRE-ALPHA | v0.8 rom on my htc desire, but I can't install the google play store.
With GApps it isn't installed on my phone. And when I've installed the play store (4.5.10) manually by an .apk I've downloaded, I am getting the message 'google play store has stopped working'. Does anyone has the same problem with this rom? Or a possible fix for this problem.
thx

So you installed the gapps but they won't appear?
Use a file explorer to navigate to system/app. Are the gapps there? Do they have rw-r--r-- permissions?
How did you partition your sd-card? Do you use a partition?

gapps won't appear in system/app.
First tried with the zip that is provided with the rom. Then google play services is installed, but not the play store.
I've also tried other gapps: CM11 and gapps from beanstalk rom. Then no apps are installed.
I've partitioned my sdcard: ext4 1024mb
I've used the following sequence for the installation:
wipe cache/dalvik
wipe battery stats
wipe data/factory reset
flash rom
install a2sd
flash gapps
My first installation I flashed the rom en gapps directly. At the first start I had low memory message, but I managed to install a2sd.
But I tought that gapps was not correctly installed due to the low memory.
Or do I have to completely format the sdcard => repartition ext4?
any luck resolving this?
I got the same problem...

Ahh... I see what you mean. Lots of directories on /storage/sdcard0 from the apps that I had installed.
I think that perhaps I should have saved the content of my TWRP directory first however.
And perhaps /storage/cmupdater and storage/download as well, since that's where my ROM and GAPPs were at.
Oh well, live and learn. Thanks agian for all your help.

Help Flashing GApps to OnePlus 3

I have been trying to flash GApps to my RR rom on OnePlus 3 with no good results. Either the phone is stuck at the oneplus logo and wont boot to RR, or, when it does I get attacked with "Unfortunately Setup Wizard has Stopped" and "Google Play Services has Stopped". I am fairly new to flashing, and I am using TWRP for my recovery. Any help would be appreciated!
1. Download the latest TWRP/RR ROM.
2. Download the "ARM64" and pico type gapps from here: http://opengapps.org
2. Install the latest TWRP.
3. Wipe cache, dalvik, data (it will delete the apps and their data but not your internal storage, so backup)
4. Install RR ROM and right after the downloaded ARM64-pico GApps.
5. Reboot

System and Cache repartitioning / Opengapps: Error 70
The current system partition is (getting) full !
You need to do repartition your system and cache partitions .. either via TWRP package or manually via shell.
It's an one time task.
But the filesystem of the system.img inside the ROM will keep always the same size .. approx. 800mb.
The filesystem does not know the "real" size of the actual partition.
In general .. If you install an image into a partition the filesystem will have the size of the image (in our case 800mb).
The free space we got thru repartitioning needs to be allocated again.
For this reason we need to enlarge/resize the filesystem after each ROM update and/or clean install.
Only the filesystem .. the partition itself will stay untouched.
The automatic enlarge/resize of the filesystem is part of the ROM installer.
For manual repartitioning have a look here:

https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77770425&postcount=960
@ipdev - Thanks for your TWRP flashable repartitioning package !
Installation:
1. Boot into TWRP
2. Wipe system, cache, dalvik and data. (Not required if you upgrade from previous build)
3. Install RR-O-v6.x.x-yyyymmdd-manta-Unofficial.zip
4. install Opengapps or other Gapps package
5. install Magisk.zip
6. Reboot into system ..
- Please install Magisk.zip (17.x) yourself.
- If you had gapps installed before you don't need to install gapps again - the installer will take care.
- If you face any strange issues, pls do a factory reset via TWRP first.

followmsi, great work, thanks.
FYI I think this latest build might be a little bigger than previous builds? I used your pico w/ the 6mb buffer, and it was still giving me the not enough space error. I tried it with latest open gapps and changing buffer to 2mb, with the same result. So I deleted some system apps like Easter egg, calculator, camera, etc., and then the pico gapps installed. Then I reinstalled the ROM to get those apps back, realizing that the ROM keeps existing gapps (thanks for mentioning it). Seems to have worked.
Giving it a test run over the next couple days. I used f2fs for data and cache, btw. Thanks again.
Edit: I got the google play services error and reinstalled like this: wipe system, install ROM, delete camera and onetimeinstall and calculator (IIRC), install latest pico open gapps w/ 6mb mod. Took a few flashes and reboots for magisk to install. Everything seems to be working now, at least everything that is supposed to work for oreo on N10. Seems pretty smooth.
Wow this is great, can I dirty flash this over the recnt nougat build? RR-N-v5.8.5-20180413-manta-Unofficial.zip

Yes .. it's actually 2 things .. gapps pico packages has been grown ... From ~105mb (may) to ~125mb (today)
As well RR made some additional changes (not part of lineage code) to optimize the compression of aapt. (.apk sizes)
I have taken out the changes now.
For next release camera will be taken out from build.
You may take gapps config file using "smallbuffer" parameter to use 2mb right away.
Or change buffer inside installer to another value.
Similar problems will happen for los-15.1 if the pico gapps size is still growing.

For now .. after ROM Installation and before gapps installation do mount /system in twrp - but untick read-only.
Go to system/app (priv-app) and remove the camera2 apk.
Unmount system and install mentioned gapps pico.
It's a space problem !
Will check if I can reduce system space usage a bit more ..as well reducing buffer for gapps down to 2MB.

Go to system/app (priv-app) and remove the camera2 apk.
Unmount system and install mentioned gapps pico.”
One more question do I need to install that audiojack kernel or is already in the rom?

Audio jack kernel is part of this ROM ..
Depending on the gapps package size you may have to delete camera2.apk - to increase free space for gapps installation.
September 2018
RR-O-v6.2.0-20180909-manta-Unofficial.zip
Changes:
- Google Security updates -> September 2018
- moved shim libs to vendor
- Latest LineageOS and RR changes (update to version 6.2.0)
Enjoy
Hi !
I flashed the September version with a clean flash (full wipe). I tried to flash both "manta_open_gapps-arm-8.1-pico-20180702-UNOFFICIAL.zip" and "open_gapps-arm-8.1-pico-20180902-UNOFFICIAL.zip" from your GDrive, but after a (sucessful) flash in TWRP 3.2.0, the First time Pixel setup has Google Play services crashing in loops in anytime.
This prevents me from going further into using Gapps.
I also tried removing stuff from priv-apk in system, but I couldn't find the camera apk. I got rid of EasterEgg, but that didn't cut through.
Any help for troubleshooting ?

- install latest TWRP (3.2.3)
- Wipe systen first.
- Install current ROM
- Install just one Gapps package (manta_open_gapps-arm-8.1-pico-20180702-UNOFFICIAL.zip - buffer has been reduced to fit into manta system partition)
- Wipe cache / dalvik
- Reboot system
If SetupWizard is crashing we will need logs for further troubleshooting.
Somehow it immediately worked by following closely your instructions. I must have done something wrong before then.
Thanks a lot still, and very kudos for this ROM : )
root access
Fyi it did not like addonsu 15.1 for what ever reason, it was flashed via TWRP and turned on in dev mode but never gave access .. However Magisk flashed fine from TWRP and gave root access so no problem. had to have my Adaway from XDA.
