Hi , I've bricked my zenfone 2 ze500cl and I can't find anywhere .bin files to flash in xFTSK
I'm seaching for
dnx_fwr.bin
ifwi.bin
droidboot_dnx.img.POS_sign.bin
Without that it's impossible for me to get back life to my phone, please help me if you know something about that .
Did you ever find those files?
I am in the same boat.
I found the flashing utility, but I just need the .bin files to flash....

Folks, I believe I am close to unbricking my S3.
I was able to have it in download mode and the QPST tool allows me to upload .mbn files into it.
I got the .mbn files from TMobile stock image.
Problem is, I am using version 2.7b378, which does not have M8960 in the list of supported devices, so any image I try to load I am getting "Could Not Open Flash Programming File".
I believe if I have the latest version of QSPT tool I could unbrick my device.
Can you please comment on my experience and eventually give me pointers to the latest QPST tool?
Thank you in advance.

Hardbrick means that you can't get into download mode. Soft bricked is what it is, and .mbn? what type files are those? I used .tar and and used odin to flash stock rom back to my softbricked phone months ago. Worked like a champ, its the only method I know of. If I happen to see someone else talking about .mbn files, I will let you know.
If you are in download mode, does Odin recognize it? If so, go to stock.
Hi, answering you both: download mode I am referring to is the one using QPST tool. I will post some screen shots later. Point is: QPSTt is a qualcomm tool that allows lower level maintenance. .mbn are the files to reflash the device.
I am not referring to Odin/ android download mode, but qualcomm hw reflash download.
More specifically, .mbn files are the ones installed to your other partitions. If you extract the otas or fw, you will see these:
aboot.mbn - appsboot
rpm.mbn - not sure?
sbl2/3.mbn - secondary bootloaders
tz.mbn - (ARM?) trusted zone
These are why some of us are always saying that when you update, if you only do so by flashing a custom rom you will miss out on some of the updates to other partitions. Only using Odin or Kies will update these. (I dont think even Mobile Odin does them all)
Hope that makes sense.

For QPST you might want to check with peoplearmy. I think hes done some work with it in the IMEI backup thread.

DocHoliday77 - Thanks for the explanation. In this case do you know how to unbrick the device w these files - which happens to be the same as yours? Would you have a .hex of you boot to share w me? I will try contacting peoplearmy. Thanks!
No unfortunately I do not have it. I can try to get it for you once I get home later tonight though.
That is unless anyone else has one they can post beforehand?

Man, if you could send me a copy of nv files and stuff like this would be of great help. I am in Brazil, w a phone I brought from USA, if I dont get it sorted out like this, I will have to send the bricked devoce to USA and have Samsung fix it there - will basically cost me a new device. No one here has a similar device, thus I have no one to rely on here on this situation. Thanks in advance.
Ill do what I can to help. In the meantime, if you haven't already try to get in contact with peoplearmy and the guys in the IMEI threads (in development section). I think theyve already done a lot with qpst and nv backups while working on the imei problem. You may get what you need there before I ever even get a chance to start!

Thank you. Have posted there as well. Awaiting feedback from peoplearmy.
Just got back. Need to take care of some stuff before I can get to any of this.
Try PMing peoplearmy too. Hes been very helpful to a lot of people. Ill get back to you soon. Sorry to keeep you waiting.

Not to try and rain on your parade but I promise this won't work. I've bricked twice which literally gave me days to attempt exactly this. It won't do it. Would love to see this happen but hate to see you waste the time. Assuming you're still gonna go for it tho, good luck

I'm basically right where you are. I have the one .bin and several .mbn from my stock AT&T image. I just get an error that I need to switch to streaming download mode for flashing the .bin and NAK: invalid address when flashing the .mbn files. I think what we are looking for more than these are the hex files. The files we have now seem to be trivial from what I have read. How we acquire a hex is beyond me though. I've got a thread over here.

I hard bricked my phone.
Can anyone put the bootloader on their SD card, then send me the files so I can transfer them to my microSD and send them to my phone?
Would that work? I only see the i9300 files around. No one has the T999 files anywhere to send to the phone or am I missing something?
I feel comfortable shorting the certain resistor and getting to d/L mode just the getting files to my microSD seems the hard part.

If you at are hard bricked you will need to send it somewhere for a jtag repair. Never heard of anyone recovering any other way.

there have been different phones that have recovered from a hardbrick that way we just need the right files for our phones.
Sammy really seemed to surprise some people with the S3. A lot of things people were used to on previous devices, were new and different on the S3. IMEI backups and nvdata were included in that category. It apparently used to be MUCH easier to backup and restore nvdata and related items. I'd wager this may be in the same boat, and I haven't seen anyone trying to figure it out, save for those in this thread.
Not saying its not possible, just improbable. (Wheres that Improbability Drive when you need it!)
Also, a fully functional and compatible version of QPST has never been found that I'm aware of.

Recently my E988 has been bricked, and I have no idea how to fix it. I have read many guides and have gotten up to the point where I have the LG Flash Tool, my problem is that I need a S/W file for it. I have found it for 980 and others, but I have not yet found one for the E988. I have the DLL file. I also read in a topic that the firmware would download for me? However this has not happened. Can anyone please help me out?

Hi Guys,
got my LG G3 D855 16GB in "Coma" because of (maybe failed) Nightly-Update for CM13. Now i would need a .LAF or .KDZ File to revive it.
Maybe just the IMEI could help, because i could maybe download this above mentioned Files here: Click
Shame on me :cyclops: All i got is a efs-backup in form of (about ~20) .md5 and .win Files.
Can you help me how i could get to a .LAF or .KDZ File, in best case with some extractors :fingers-crossed:
Thanks

No one will ever give you their IMEI for security reason.
But, you can download KDZ from there: http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda/LG+G3/Stock/
and you can use it with this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089

Ohh I didn't understood the IMEI part. But if you ever need it while your phone is bricked, its under the battery on a sticker :good:

Thanks for this advice, i´ve really never seen it there before.
Hey, guys.
I was wondering if you know how to get the partition.txt file from an AT&T LG G3 Stock ROM .tot through LG Firmware Extract? I recently bricked my phone is this is the second to last step, but the one I'm having the most trouble with. I have the .tot file as well as the .dll file, but I can't seem to find partition.txt from either of them.
Putting the .dll file in the program just gave me an error, the .tot file basically extracts all the files EXCEPT the one I'm looking for. I tried doing it in BoardDiag as well; it came up with the same results. I'll try to redownload the stock firmware and see if it was incomplete, but I don't think that's likely.
Anyone have any clues?

Ok.Download the .tot file of your stock rom.Kdz not work thats why you neef the .tot file then open boarddiag. At the end of boarddiag, you need to select the bin (in which select the downloaded .tot) and then select the output destination folder where you want to get partition file. Note : During process boarddiag will stuck and the pc shows not responding on boarddiag, dont worry keep it continue until the boarddiag says that the extraction is completed.
If i really help you then you can give me a like ☺☺.
Hi,
I got a bricked zenfone 2 here. There ist noch more OS installed. I lent it to my neighbour and He formatted everything. I am able to get into the bootloader and flashed twrp. But if I try to flash a Rom, original or custom, there is a failure, the Rom that is installed is newer than the one I try to flash, so flashing failed. I even tried the newest original rom, even tried to sideload it, No success. I looked then at the hard bricked guide here on XDA, but most of the links there to needed files are leading to deleted files. So my question, does somebody has got the files of that thread? Especially the .raw rom would help I think. I really would appreciate your help

got to the following link and see section flash firmware without AFT. now reboot phone to fastboot mode and perform the commands step by step. keep in mind even if some commands fail (probably partitioning command will fail). just continue with each and every command. in same sequence
https://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/help/thead-bricked-phone-updating-to-mm-tips-t3452785
I will try it, thank you
After using xFSTK Downloader the zenfone 2 looks like on the attached picture. Using the method without AFT resulted into a completely black screen so I decided to follow the whole thread.
Is the screen like on the attached picture normal? In the thread it is said something about 4 colours and how long does it take to get into the bootloader?
Update
It works again. I just made it without AFT as it showed that weird Screen and that did it. Am i able to flash MM or Nougat Roms right over that Rom?

after unlocking BL yes! that weird screen are you sure that you used files for your model. usually it happens if you use wrong files.
