I can't get this thing the SPC Toolbox thing to scan for my device. It keeps saying "No Devices Found". Any troubleshooting steps I should take. I do have the adb drivers already installed for flashing other things.

Super Easy Way
I've posted this in the ## code section of the forum I knew I should have made a sticky. Type ##443336772# and look at the screen to see your SPC code revealed near the bottom of the screen. No program, nu PC or USB cables, just your phone. You're welcome

well right after I did it with basic flasher I saw your post and did it again. confirmed. both six digit codes match. I think these are the last two ways that will work and I just got off the phone with sprint and tired everything I could think of to get them to hand over the code and they flat out refused. I don't know what magic tongues some people have, but, lost my touch. thanks man

Basic Flasher is a very slick little tool. Thank you, OP, very much for pointing it out to us. I am having a problem, however, at the last step. It is hanging at the reboot. I eventually reboot the phone manually and find that the PRL has not been updated. If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

I sometimes forget to "Send SPC" before clicking the provision button. Send SPC and the status should change to unlocked, then provision the device.

I finally got it to work. It took several tries, but somehow it finally stuck. Thanks!

Not able to get to DIAG mode it asks for MSL where as the whole purpose of doing this is to get the MSL

if your from 4.2.2 use this
##4433386368#
if not use this 5689#*980# then device test then FTM boot. the phone will repoot then you got it.
after you read your MSL go to NORMAL boot.

The file link in the OP gets scanned as a trojan by SEP. Could be a false positive, but it makes me too wary to attempt it.

Hi,
I had a bricked Desire HD on which I gave for JTAG (restoring hboot). However, after the JTAGging process, my mobile signals had gone and I noticed that the IMEI number was different on the firmware from the one written on the mobile box and the back of my phone, is there any way to repair restore it? I will be very thankful

Hmmmmm..... In order to do such things, you have to put your device in HTC DIAGNOSTICS MODE, when the device is put in this mode. Another device is enabled in the DHD so that when its connected to a pc, the pc also recognizes the phone as HTC DIAGNOSTIC INTERFACE.
If you are able to archieve this, then you can modify your IMEI with QPST or CDMA WORKSHOP.

I searched and searched but couldnt find the command. So i went over to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1626638
and found some DIAG codes but they were for samsung. I still tried and tried and was able to enable DIAG mode with this command

After entering this, a new device pops up in device manager but QPST is unable to communicate with the device.
It seems i have to enable other stuffs.

I have got one or two things to do so you can try your hands. Once you have installed ur drivers and QPST and entered the command from adb, open QPST configuration. If you see an open port with the inscription no phone, then you are stuck but if you see an open port with phone then you could be getting your phone working any moment from now.
Note if your phone shows up correctly, becareful of what you do with QPST. or you could brick your device.

I can't access the fastboot mode and if I go to the download mode, it says "Secure boot error".
And the windos device manger says, there is a device called "qhsusb_bulk".
Does any has a solution for that ?

if thats your screenshot some things are wrong. for example its G2 chip instead of G3 and restore boot img shouldnt be ticked. emmc test should be.
plus you have to install qualcomm 9008 driver to see whats the correct port.

Look if you have the correct port and the phone it's seen as qualcomm 9008 you must first do AP+EMMC test and when that's completed you ALSO tick SDRAM and press start again.[ dont disconnect the phone no matter how much time it takes to proceed] you have to wait about 5 minutes and then youll be in download mode. then just download LG flash tool and follow a tutorial to go back to stock with TOT files. important: you dont have to tick restore boot img. THIS WORKED FOR MY D855 .

I also have 64x windows, so i did disable and enable the driver...

What OS did you use. I am trying to fix my Verizon G3 and I am getting the failed to load programmer error as well.

it was win7 x64 i dont think it really matters. anyways, in the beggining i got that error too but with a different version of that software. 2.99a version was the only one which worked

I cannot get 2.99a to work on 8.1 or maybe because it's a verizon G3. Won't have access to to a 7 machine until tomorrow.

you could install win7 in virtual machine (vmware) and then try. didnt know that software didnt work on win8
it should work with any model as long as you choose the right tot. our phones have the same chip (8974AC)

Hi, i never rooted or did anything similar to it so im pretty afraid to screw up with the phone hehe
anyways i need to run one app which cannot work without root
so i decided to root
someone can tell me what is the best and safest way to do it?

i foudn vid on youtube from march 2014 and it says to enable fast boot or something like that
and i dont even have this option on the 5.0.1 lolipop
someone can tell me what to do please?

Use this guide. It says for AT&T, but actually the steps here are for any M8.

The Fast Boot option has been removed by HTC since the guide was written, so don't worry about that.
You can get SuperSU from here.

Correct. But I would uninstall HTC Sync. The drivers will remain.
HTC Sync doesn't play nice with ADB, and after the drivers are installed it is pretty much useless

Open up your ADB folder. Then shift+right click and open the cmd window there.
It should look something like this: C:\Users\NAME\sdk\adb>
enter adb reboot bootloader
then fastboot devices

Transfer it to your internal storage. By root directory, it means just to the storage and not in a folder. Just drag and drop it to your phone's storage with the Windows file explorer

I've basically read everything there is to read. And got everything I need other than my stock LP kdz and my rooted system image. Can someone please tell me which images to use?

I've quite literally done everything. Step by step following the original root method. Everything goes fine until send command is involved. My phone's ports are showing COM1 and COM3. Neither is listed as "DIAG" like the instructions say.
I'm running 5.1 now not 6.0.

open the folder when in download mode... and click on port.bat whats does it says on DIAG1 ?? on mine its says COM15 ON DIAG1 so for example use 15
Send_Command.exe \\.\COM15 so what ever says on yours thats the number you need to place

That's just it. There is no DIAG port. there's serial0 and something else. It used to show com5 for DIAG but now DIAG is gone.

try another computer .. not sure whats goign on if its phone or pc related. if its pc then reformat..

I can try that tomorrow. What if it's phone related? Only reason I ask is because it showed the DIAG port before I reverted to 5.1 lol. So it could be phone related. But I followed instructions. Used the Rogers image so I didn't lose my VoLTE feature. Everything on that end went off without a hitch.
