Hey guys. I've been trying to fix this problem for a couple weeks now and haven't gotten anywhere.
Product: SM-T710 (Galaxy Tab S2 8.0) running Android 5.0.2.
Bought as new. Worked for about an hour, then bricked itself. No boot-loop, just stuck at the boot screen on the Samsung logo. Can enter download mode, but cannot power off or enter recovery mode.
I have re-flashed stock ROM and TWRP many times. When I flash TWRP the only change is that it now says recovery is not seandroid enforicing at boot.
Please, please help! This is driving me mad!

Sorry had to edit my post. Im sure this issue has been addressed already. Just search your device name and you should find the correct thread to get the info you need. You most likely used an incompatible version of twrp or root file for the rom youre using. Dont worry tho just head over to your devices forum and Im sure youll easily find the fix to your problem.
If you cant fix it...Ill buy it for parts

the customer is telling the truth. same thing happened to me. i've had 3 galaxy phones, & this is the first time it happened. i downloaded an app from Playstore. used it for a couple of hours. then exit the program. then after a few hours while playing a different game, my screen went black (which at first I though was due to low battery) then it turned on but only until the NoteII logo. Tried to charge my phone but the battery icon only had this white circle at the center, there wasn't a green bar that's supposed to be showing up when you're charging. I couldn't access the recovery mode. i could access the download mode though. I tried to install CMW & stock rom, but both failed. Odin said my phone has got no PIT file.... please help!
BTW. Let me just tell you more about the apps involved. I downloaded Zynga Poker from Playstore at around 1PM. Played it until maybe around 3PM. Exit the program though it's still sending me annoying notifications. Then at around 9PM, I played RuneMasterPuzzle, which I've been playing since I've got my phone. Actually I've had that in my S2 before & never had a problem. So I'm blaming Zynga Poker.
I really, really need your help. Please...
TIA

I have the same problem.
I tried many solutions like, flashing its ROM, fix partition, followed Dr. Ketan's advices. Still no good. I can access Odin Mode but I can't access my recovery.
Here's my situation:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=35133784#post35133784
What the hell. So I'm not the only one with this problem. Same goes for me. I checked mails on my note 2 when it suddenly went black and rebooted. Then it was stuck at the first bootscreen. I can also go into Download mode but not into recovery. I tried flashing Stock Roms, Rescue Rom, Custom Roms, Root and CWM but nothing ever changed the situation.....perhaps this is a bigger problem?!
This is my Thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2040464
Isn't there anybody able to help us?!
Try to closely read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1923956.
Then try to use Note 2 Toolkit.
Does it work?
Among other features, this one (as stated on their thread):
Flash Stock Boot Image back to your phone
Click to collapse
Problem with toolkit is that i does not see my phone. I can only get to download mode. Nothing else. Can't boot it up and when i try to use the toolkit it says that USB debugging needs to be enabled... well seems like that isnt the case, did not need it before so i think it's disabled :/
What did you do to the phone exactly?
Did you ever root it? Which root method did you use? From where did you follow instructions to do so?
Did you ever flash some firmware? Which one? What's the full name of the file you flashed?
EDIT: Please, these questions are mandatory to understand the issue.
Alright so it happened on sunday, my phone was complete Stock and i never installed root or custom rom before on this device. I was checking my mails when the phone suddenly rebooted. When it was up again i suddenly got the S-Voice instructions which i had to click through. After that the phone rebooted again. When i had to enter the PIN i just touched the screen for a second and the screen went black again. Now it rebooted to bootscreen and got stuck there. After that i tried anything to get it back to life. I am not able to enter recovery, only download mode.
In the meatime i flashed anything that looked promising. For example the newest Stock rom for my Note 2, CWM+ Root, Stock Recovery+ Root, Rescue Rom with PIT-File (got it here in the Forum for getting bricked phones back to live, it has all the files - phone, csc, modem, PIT and bootloader), Recovery Fix..... i tried anything but it still gets stuck at bootscreen and i was never able to get to recovery......
When i check in download mode my Counter is now at 10 and Current Binary and System Binary is Custom. Even when i flashed Stock Rom, System binary never changed back to Official. it's always custom....... Odin flashing is always succesful even tried it on different PCs....yet still getting stuck at bootscreen......
Dunno if there's even a way to get it back to live
Edit: I flashed my old Galaxy S up and down without problems and even when it was softbricked it was no problem for me to get it back to live. This time i just don't see any possible solution -.-

Did this also. When I plug the USB Cable, PC will beep (detected by PC, meaning driver is working) But in Toolkit's Interface, Phone's serial number is not showing. What I can do in Toolkit is to Launch Odin, well, Odin can detect the phone. BUT after flashing. It will reboot to the first boot screen.
Is this a sort of a SOFT BRICK?
Is it already a hardware problem? like fried chip or something?
I'm already running out of options here. :crying:
Well at the moment i haven't found anyone who is able to help us and i tried many different things to get it working again. Without success....
Perhaps somewhere here on xda we will find a savior but at the moment i don't see any hope for our devices but to send them to samsung :/
After reading some threads and searching for the cause of the problem, well, that thing, i must say that "Reboot of Death" LOL! happened under normal use, stock, unrooted Note2s.
Some threads with the same problem.

Tried the same things you did and a bit more for example:
- Rescue Firmware:

- CWM+Root
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1901196
- TWRP
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1938733
Nothing changed. No recovery after flashing any of these only download modus. Still stuck at bootscreen
Tried some other Stock firmwares but i'm still stuck at bootscreen :/
Same thing happened with me aswell. I went again to download mode and flashed CWM first. After flashing CWM i wiped dalvik, cache partition & then data reset. Ofcourse i lost my apps but i had phone & sms backup with me.
Later i flashed a new firmware thru pc odin & everything was fine. The phone started perfectly. Give a try. Hope it works for u aswell.

Hey everyone
I've got a Galaxy S3 Mini GT-I8190N and I've got a huge problem.
It first started out with me trying to root my phone, everything seemed to go well until i tried to turn my phone on, which resulted in it being stuck on the samsung logo, I snooped around the internet trying to find a solution and was recommended to reflash with different tar files but nothing worked. I tried to reset to factory settings through recovery mode but I couldn't even access the recovery mode. I then tried to get back to factory settings using Samsung Kies but after the whole installation it didn't seem to work either. I tried almost everything possible, I checked out every link on the first page of google relating to my problem yet nothing works. The only thing I can do is enter download mode and that's it.

Very different internals in your Galaxy S3 Mini compared to the tmobile galaxy s3 t999. Did you flash using the methods from this forum? If so youre using the wrong files. Head on over to s3 mini sub forum and see if you can get some answers there.

Yea that was for the original s3 varients not the mini. Spend some time over at the other forum and see what they have to say. Take it slow too! Its better to spend a day or two without a phone and getting it right then to rush a fix and end up ruining it!!
the fact that you can still enter download mode is good though. If kies still recognizes your phone when its in download mode then I think it will be an easy fix. Again though, research over on that subforum as it will be your best bet!

You can use Odin to flash another rom. I have been in the same situation and rooted with stock rom via odin and succeed.

Thanks for the new breath of hope! I thought this phone was completely done for. I'd gladly have no phone for a week or two as long as I get a fix for it.

Me too
yeah well i've got the same problem. I accidentally turn off my phone via removing the battery while its still on . Then after that , it's stuck on the samsung logo . What to do ?
Boot recovery and factory reset. (If it's stock recovery it will wipe your internal sdcard)
If that doesn't work Odin flash the stock firmware.

Okay so I got this phone today and I went straight to the mskip toolkit for the Note 2. I have the S3 toolkit as well.
The thing is when I try to root the phone Odin will come up but the first box under ID:COM does not turn blue or do anything at all.
When I first did this I had to download a preloader driver. It was MT65xx.
Okay so I got that but still no actual connection to Odin. So my other problem is that when I hold vol- home power it doesn't go to download mode, instead the android logo pops up but then falls over with a red exclamation mark warning sign with an open panel. Looks like a generic error message pop up. So I can't get past this. What do I do? I read that it may be an imitation phone if this doesn't work so is this the case?
This may not affect anything but when I first got it and rebooted the phone the Samsung logo booted as the animation, after I reset it it changed to the android word. I don't know if that means anything but this is the problem I am having.
Samsung Note II: GT-N7100
Ver. 4.1.1
Baseband Ver: MAUI.11AMD.W12.22.SP.V7.P3
Kernel: 3.0.13
1217 V41
Build: ALPS.ICS.MP.V1.3
Custom build version: 1366963977
Odin3 v3.07
That's as best info as I can give thanks in advance.
Okay well after digging I figured yeah it's a knock off. I'm pissed but whatever now it's time to roll with it.
My next issue is that I can't get to anything but the default recovery. I have tried flashing different imgs or attempting to but nothing.
I tried buying Mobile ODIN and it gave me the "Unexpected partition layout" message.
I also tried using fastboot but and tried the terminal emulator for the phone to flash the recovery that way and when I go into recovery it does as I explained before. Spins a little then falls over and goes into default recovery.
I rooted using Root with Restore by Bin4ry v18.
I'm still new to this and trying to figure out what else I can do. I downloaded rom mannager apk and it say the GTn7100 isn't supported. I'm not sure what else to do. If anyone can shed some insight.
I'm gonna keep the phone for now and I want to flash the alliance rom onto it if possible. Thanks again
Well you can close this thread mods. No one is going to help and that's fine. Found a solution to my problem. Getting a different phone.

You need to have installed drivers from kies or samsung drivers to your pc in order for odin to recognise and communicate with your device. You also need to be a little patient I notice you only posted this thread yesterday and already your complaining.

Sorry if I seem impatient or as a complainer. I'm usually calmer. Anyway I had already performed said steps to no avail. I had already been up all night trying different methods to no help. I already got a new phone from T-Mobile today. Maybe I made the right choice or maybe not. It's alright. I'm satisfied in the end.
Thanks for your attempt though. Appreciated.
Right well seems like ive screwed my Tab already, tried to root my phone with Odin, all looked like it went through ok but after reboot its now just stuck on the white Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 screen,
Anyone point me in the right direction, be it the bin or a post with some nice D/L links to solve it.
Thanks in advance

If you can re-boot into download mode.... (and you should know how since you've used Odin) then flash your original Samsung Firmware.
If you can re-boot into recovery mode.... do a factory reset..

Cheers jimmbomb, could you point me to the easiest place to get the original firmware.
If its stuck on the Samsung logo just get into recovery mode and erase everything. It will work. My note 2 did this when downgrading and it was solved doing so.

Thanks for the reply. Just 1 more question what will I do after? Is this to check if you have successfully done it?
10. Restart directly to recovery mode before rebooting into OS.(Hold POWER, Volume UP, and the HOME button all at the same time. When you see the Samsung Logo, let go of the POWER button, but keep holding the Volume UP and HOME until you see the recovery screen).

Yes, if you don't perform step 10, stock recovery will be installed again when you reboot.
