Well this so called customer of yours didn't install an app(I think)he would have bricked it by rooting it (if he hasn't followed which cf to flash).. well this might help you say while flashing via odin 1st its says fail then 2nd attempt it says no pit... I had this similar issue on the s3 turned out it was a bad download try downloading the file again and make sure your downloading a file with n7100 not n700 (I bet you know this just a lil heads up) hope this works for you.. if all else fails... the customer is telling the truth. same thing happened to me. i've had 3 galaxy phones, & this is the first time it happened. i downloaded an app from Playstore. used it for a couple of hours. then exit the program. then after a few hours while playing a different game, my screen went black (which at first I though was due to low battery) then it turned on but only until the NoteII logo. Tried to charge my phone but the battery icon only had this white circle at the center, there wasn't a green bar that's supposed to be showing up when you're charging. I couldn't access the recovery mode. i could access the download mode though. I tried to install CMW & stock rom, but both failed. Odin said my phone has got no PIT file.... please help!
BTW. Let me just tell you more about the apps involved. I downloaded Zynga Poker from Playstore at around 1PM. Played it until maybe around 3PM. Exit the program though it's still sending me annoying notifications. Then at around 9PM, I played RuneMasterPuzzle, which I've been playing since I've got my phone. Actually I've had that in my S2 before & never had a problem. So I'm blaming Zynga Poker.
I really, really need your help. Please...
TIA

I have the same problem.
I tried many solutions like, flashing its ROM, fix partition, followed Dr. Ketan's advices. Still no good. I can access Odin Mode but I can't access my recovery.
Here's my situation:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=35133784#post35133784
What the hell. So I'm not the only one with this problem. Same goes for me. I checked mails on my note 2 when it suddenly went black and rebooted. Then it was stuck at the first bootscreen. I can also go into Download mode but not into recovery. I tried flashing Stock Roms, Rescue Rom, Custom Roms, Root and CWM but nothing ever changed the situation.....perhaps this is a bigger problem?!
This is my Thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2040464
Isn't there anybody able to help us?!
Try to closely read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1923956.
Then try to use Note 2 Toolkit.
Does it work?
Among other features, this one (as stated on their thread):
Flash Stock Boot Image back to your phone
Click to collapse
Problem with toolkit is that i does not see my phone. I can only get to download mode. Nothing else. Can't boot it up and when i try to use the toolkit it says that USB debugging needs to be enabled... well seems like that isnt the case, did not need it before so i think it's disabled :/
What did you do to the phone exactly?
Did you ever root it? Which root method did you use? From where did you follow instructions to do so?
Did you ever flash some firmware? Which one? What's the full name of the file you flashed?
EDIT: Please, these questions are mandatory to understand the issue.
Alright so it happened on sunday, my phone was complete Stock and i never installed root or custom rom before on this device. I was checking my mails when the phone suddenly rebooted. When it was up again i suddenly got the S-Voice instructions which i had to click through. After that the phone rebooted again. When i had to enter the PIN i just touched the screen for a second and the screen went black again. Now it rebooted to bootscreen and got stuck there. After that i tried anything to get it back to life. I am not able to enter recovery, only download mode.
In the meatime i flashed anything that looked promising. For example the newest Stock rom for my Note 2, CWM+ Root, Stock Recovery+ Root, Rescue Rom with PIT-File (got it here in the Forum for getting bricked phones back to live, it has all the files - phone, csc, modem, PIT and bootloader), Recovery Fix..... i tried anything but it still gets stuck at bootscreen and i was never able to get to recovery......
When i check in download mode my Counter is now at 10 and Current Binary and System Binary is Custom. Even when i flashed Stock Rom, System binary never changed back to Official. it's always custom....... Odin flashing is always succesful even tried it on different PCs....yet still getting stuck at bootscreen......
Dunno if there's even a way to get it back to live
Edit: I flashed my old Galaxy S up and down without problems and even when it was softbricked it was no problem for me to get it back to live. This time i just don't see any possible solution -.-

Did this also. When I plug the USB Cable, PC will beep (detected by PC, meaning driver is working) But in Toolkit's Interface, Phone's serial number is not showing. What I can do in Toolkit is to Launch Odin, well, Odin can detect the phone. BUT after flashing. It will reboot to the first boot screen.
Is this a sort of a SOFT BRICK?
Is it already a hardware problem? like fried chip or something?
I'm already running out of options here. :crying:
Well at the moment i haven't found anyone who is able to help us and i tried many different things to get it working again. Without success....
Perhaps somewhere here on xda we will find a savior but at the moment i don't see any hope for our devices but to send them to samsung :/
After reading some threads and searching for the cause of the problem, well, that thing, i must say that "Reboot of Death" LOL! happened under normal use, stock, unrooted Note2s.
Some threads with the same problem.

Tried the same things you did and a bit more for example:
- Rescue Firmware:

- CWM+Root
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1901196
- TWRP
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1938733
Nothing changed. No recovery after flashing any of these only download modus. Still stuck at bootscreen
Tried some other Stock firmwares but i'm still stuck at bootscreen :/
Same thing happened with me aswell. I went again to download mode and flashed CWM first. After flashing CWM i wiped dalvik, cache partition & then data reset. Ofcourse i lost my apps but i had phone & sms backup with me.
Later i flashed a new firmware thru pc odin & everything was fine. The phone started perfectly. Give a try. Hope it works for u aswell.

Sorry for posting a new thread but I want to make sure I am heading in the right direction. I bought a Galaxy S3 yesterday that was rooted. I want to put it back to stock ROM. I downloaded Odin and the ATT Stock ROM's. Everything went ok and passed without fail, but my phone is stuck on boot. Googling around I found a how to where I could run CWM Recovery, but it seems like this is for rooted devices stuck at boot. I am looking to go back to stock. Will this work or is there something else I am missing? Thanks and I will begin searching on the forum for help.
Edit: My phone does go into dowload mode.

Heres how to restore to stock: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypmqJbZqOaU
If you wanna root it again like a boss heres the link for that too:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XoEVDgjTTdg
Great. Thanks for that link. I actually found that video and was looking for the drivers. I noticed the one he linked if for Sprint. My phone is ATT though. I clicked on the ATT link a little further down in his description where it says AT&T USA. I am assuming this is the correct file to install right? Now is that the TAR file or the drivers? He didnt post an AT&T link for one of those.

Ok I followed QBkings video and everything worked fine and passed but I am still stuck on the Samsung screen. I know he mentioned factory reset but he did it once he was already into the actual phone. Mine wont get in.
You guys are all beasts! Thanks a million for the help. Factory reset finally worked! My phone didnt reset by itself though.
Well I see you must have been able to fix your phone!
It must be like the Atrix 2, but instead of FXZ restoration w/ RSD Lite, you use TAR files and Odin

Boot into recovery. Vol up + home + power. When your device vibrates and you see the blue text in the top left corner of the screen, release just the power button.
Wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache
Hey everyone
I've got a Galaxy S3 Mini GT-I8190N and I've got a huge problem.
It first started out with me trying to root my phone, everything seemed to go well until i tried to turn my phone on, which resulted in it being stuck on the samsung logo, I snooped around the internet trying to find a solution and was recommended to reflash with different tar files but nothing worked. I tried to reset to factory settings through recovery mode but I couldn't even access the recovery mode. I then tried to get back to factory settings using Samsung Kies but after the whole installation it didn't seem to work either. I tried almost everything possible, I checked out every link on the first page of google relating to my problem yet nothing works. The only thing I can do is enter download mode and that's it.

Very different internals in your Galaxy S3 Mini compared to the tmobile galaxy s3 t999. Did you flash using the methods from this forum? If so youre using the wrong files. Head on over to s3 mini sub forum and see if you can get some answers there.

Yea that was for the original s3 varients not the mini. Spend some time over at the other forum and see what they have to say. Take it slow too! Its better to spend a day or two without a phone and getting it right then to rush a fix and end up ruining it!!
the fact that you can still enter download mode is good though. If kies still recognizes your phone when its in download mode then I think it will be an easy fix. Again though, research over on that subforum as it will be your best bet!

You can use Odin to flash another rom. I have been in the same situation and rooted with stock rom via odin and succeed.

Boot recovery and factory reset. (If it's stock recovery it will wipe your internal sdcard)
If that doesn't work Odin flash the stock firmware.

Hey everyone, so basically I'm stuck with a bricked Galaxy 10.1 2014.
I was looking at this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2497937
So the aim of the entire post was to rescale the dimensions to 1920x1080.
I ran the script the provided in this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2278508
So when I ran the script, the dimensions of the screen started to change, so I was thinking to myself, okay great, now I can use my MHL adapter with my HDTV without any black bars on the side!
But lo and behold, my screen just got stuck on the Samsung boot logo. It would just keep playing the animation over and over again. No sound.
I checked the logcat, and it was displaying errors like crazy whenever I touched the screen. I think the screen got messed up.. But then I thought to myself, how could this simple script mess up the screen?
Well in the end I told myself I could at least flash the firmware to stock and all will be well. Well, NOPE. Doesn't work.
Trying this firmware(got it from Kies): P600UEUAMJ4_P600XARAMJ4_HOME.tar.md5
I tried it using Odin and also using Kies, but NOPE. Nothing I do will get the tablet past the Samsung boot logo. It just is stuck there.
Could anyone PLEASE help me and try to recover this tablet from the grave? There must be something I can do? Right?

Okay, so here is my issue. I returned to stock, downloaded network update, it rebooted my phone, and did the update. Phone went to reboot again, and was hung up on the "Samsung Galaxy Note II" screen. After about an half an hour I pulled the battery, and tried to reboot. Same thing. I rebooted into Download mode and flashed the stock .tar file as described in this thread. The Odin flash goes great and the phone reboots when it is done. Then it just sits on the Samsung Galaxy Note II" screen. Never goes past it. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get this working? Any help is much appreciated. I have tried to search the forums for an answer, but I could not find anything that matched my issue.

Sounds good. The first link should do you. The J2 will be the 4.1.1. Following the guide you can OTA to 4.1.2.
Holler if you need help.
EDIT:::: I just did the ODIN to LJ2, booted perfectly. OTA to MH3 4.1.2 worked great.
This step is mandatory !!
There a step that need to be done to get the install to complete successfully for the i317UCAMH3 OTA.
- Download from http://d-h.st/CDK
I317UCUBMK6-TZ-PARAM.zip
- Extract the .zip file to get to I317UCUBMK6-TZ.tar.md5
- Put your Note 2 in Download Mode.
Entering download mode is very simple. First you will need to turn off your device. Once it’s off, you need to press this button combination: volume down, power button and home button. Keep them pressed until the download mode shows up. Once you’re there, you will be required to press volume up to enter the download mode or volume down to cancel and reboot the device.
Open ODIN and place the I317UCUBMK6-TZ.tar.md5 file in PDA and flash.
Phone will now boot into i317UCAMH3.
So I guess the issue was that I went from 4.3 to 4.1.1, and my phone didn't like it. Flashed the prama and tz file. It rebooted and went straight into 4.1.1 with no issues... Thanks
