[RADIO] HTC10 Radio Collection - HTC 10 Guides, News, & Discussion

Hi,
Just to share some of the radio img files that I've extracted from the firmware/OTA files found on this forum:
US Unlocked
Version [email protected]_51.01_F (FW 1.80.617.1)
Version [email protected]_45.00_F (FW 1.53.617.5)
Asia TW
Version [email protected]_46.17_F (FW 1.55.709.5 & 1.80.709.1)
WWE Europe
Version [email protected]_59.06_F (FW 1.90.401.3) (Credit LlabTooFeR)Version [email protected]_41.13_F (FW 1.30.401.1 & 1.80.401.1)
I've tried the radio files on my US Unlocked HTC10, doesn't break my WIFI/LTE connections but can't really tell if there's a big difference in reception either. Feel free to add on to the list.
Make sure phone is S-Off
Download img file
Reboot phone to Bootloader mode
Issue the following commands using command prompt
Code:
fastboot devices
fastboot flash radio [I]<radio.img>[/I]

TT

thanks, but what is the decryption password?

Just to make sure, would you just flash this through ADB, and if so, what command did you use specifically? Currently, I'm unlocked with S-Off, root, and TWRP.
Edit: I could not get these files to flash. Came up with a FAILED (remote: 35 RU_PARTITION_NOT_SUPPORT radio). I'm guessing I need to convert the .img into a flashable zip?

It didn't seem to do anything for my reception but it did update my radio.

Just for Clarification, there is no 1.80.709.1 radio.img file.
It's the same as 1.55.709.5
It will not get updated by OTA.
Might want to add this note in the OP or people will start to ask for it

I'm linking my T-mobile radio, which is version [email protected] Please add to first post.

However, earlier I wrote down radio version [email protected] for T-mobile, so I'm not sure what I have is the most current or not. Maybe I had an OTA or something earlier. Unfortunately, I've tried too many different things to remember all the iterations.

1.96.709.5 uses different Radio.

TMOUS Firmware Packages, RUUs, & Backups
These are the currently publicly available firmware images, RUUs, Stock Nands, and recovery flashable radios for the T-Mobile HTC One (M8) from official OTAs and RUUs. We have made them available here to help make the return to stock (for whatever reason) just a little easier. All of these packages can be obtained through other official means such as OTAs & RUUs. These packages are intended for s-off users & users of custom roms that cannot currently except over the air updates.

Official firmware package contains the stock boot.img and is intended to be flashed while running a 1.57.531.xx ROM or after flashing a 1.57.531.xx ROM. ROMs built off of a different base may fail to boot after flashing the stock 1.57 boot.img. The official package also includes the stock recovery.img, which has a two step process to enter. First, boot into bootloader and select recovery. Then, at the black screen with the red triangle, press power+UP to enter the essentially useless stock recovery. If you want use a custom recovery, like TWRP, you will need to fastboot flash it again after flashing firmware.

No, sorry when you converted to GPE you changed your partition sizes. To change back we need an RUU or the dzdata.imgs, which are not currently available. Also if/when we have those, you would still need to flash stock rom afterwards because this is merely firmware. There is no OS included whatsoever.

I can't remember if this happened before I flashed the custom firmware or not but after flashing the custom firmware when I'm booting into recovery I have the red development text warning again. It's only when I bit into recovery though. Can someone respond and let me know if they have it? I wonder if flashing the file to remove the Red text as I did before is safe? Thanks

P.S.A.
If anyone would like to install this firmware without hooking up to a PC, all it requires an SD card.
Simply:
rename the firmware zip "0P6BIMG.zip"
copy to the root of your SD card
reboot into bootloader (power+vol dwn)
when prompted to confirm the flash select Yes using volume key to confirm the update.

Yup, sure does. The custome zip will work with ANY rom. That is the whole reason the custom zip is provided, it's why I included it.
The custom zip allows you to KEEP your custom rom AND custom recovery installed and functioning, the way you want it.
The official zip includes the stock recovery AND 1.57 boot.img, so it should only be used in association with a 1.57 rom. It will help return you to 100% stock.
There is a zip for both situations.

Firmware zips are included as part of each build HTC releases. They contain important device controlling data and code for radio, bootloader, recovery, boot.img etc. As such this thread provides the most recently released firmware zips for the T-Mobile variant of the HTC M8. It is geared towards users that are not on official software paths, such as users of custom ROMs like ViperOneM8, InsertCoin, Renovate, etc.

the simplest is post the result of fastboot getvar all (but remove the serial no. and imei no. before you post it)

Thread moved - BUT - please clarify which Phone you are asking about. The HTC ONE could be M7 or M8 or Mini etc.
When asking questions, it would help others if you provide sufficient information to enable a response.

You need to be connected to the AT&T network to get AT&T updates.
Not sure if it will work or not to get the T-Mob OTAs, but you probably at a minimum need to restore to stock T-Mobile ROM and recovery, and change to the proper CID (or SuperCID or S-off?).
Stock nandroid and recovery can be found here (believe your CID is TMOB010, but please confirm): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701376
Alternately, you should be able to s-off and run the T-Mob RUU: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2714456

In theory, the nandroid backups I pointed you to are stock ROM, just they are nandroids made by XDA members.
The only way to get a more "official" stock ROM is the RUU I already linked.

Once bootloader unlocked and rooted, you should be able to use fastboot to change CID:
fastboot oem writecid *******
(replace ******* with desired CID)
then to confirm:
fastboot getvar cid
Does the Tmobile rom need to be flased before changing CID?

Not sure, you may actually need to change CID first (in order to restore the nandroid). But no, changing the CID is not dependent on the ROM. You can actually change it to whatever you want (with root).
No, the nandroid is not a .img, its a zip file you need to extract, then place the folder in the right location as outline in Post #2 of the nandroid collection.
BTW, according to the nandroid collection its actually T-MOB010 (I forgot the hyphen in my previous post).

There's a button for that. But your welcome.
CID ?

In theory, the nandroid backups I pointed you to are stock ROM, just they are nandroids made by XDA members.
The only way to get a more "official" stock ROM is the RUU I already linked.
Once bootloader unlocked and rooted, you should be able to use fastboot to change CID:
fastboot oem writecid *******
(replace ******* with desired CID)
then to confirm:
fastboot getvar cid

When I try to write the CID, I get a device waiting line and it never goes anywhere...am I missing a command or mode to be in?
does ADB command need to preceed? Thanks.

You need to be in fastboot mode for fastboot commands.
Boot into bootloader and select fastboot. Or: adb reboot fastboot

I have it rooted, s-off, unlocked bootloader, etc. I want to get it like I just got it out of the box from Tmo. What are the steps?

Ok, so is it possible that you can write down simple step by step instructions? Sorry I feel so dumb about this. I've done this before with other devices but it's been years.

Sure you just boot the phone to fastboot USB
then put the rom.zip in the folder with fastboot and use these commands
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip rom.zip
fastboot flash zip rom.zip
fastboot reboot
Flash it 2 times like it says their ...commands may be a little different on a MAC

Sense your unlocked you can flash a custom recovery using fastboot as i would use twrp. An then download supersu.zip an flash it in your newly installed twrp recovery. An now you are rooted.
Maybe I didn't explain properly my bootloader is not unlocked yet, just wanted to know since the update is there a new root method....? Thanks for replying

nbd. You should be able to use htcdev.com to unlock your bootloader Or you can go the s-off way(which I recommend) use the sunshine app for s-off(if your device is capable of s-off now) an if it is sunshine will s-off an unlock for you an then do what I said above post. Those r really your only 2 choices.
FYI you will need to be on either of the latest two twrp versions to install su binaries properly if you have issues. Sunshine wouldn't work for me but its really easy to unlock bootloader and install twrp and su
If i'm s-off already I should be able to run the latest RUU to get me up to date with the firmware and then flash TWRP and then a rom correct?

You could do that yes. Or just flash the firmware zip an then flash twrp an flash updated ROM an you r up to date....if you run ruu it will wipe your device so backup your stuff to a PC or external an then proceed with ruu an flashing twrp then ROM. After you flash twrp I recommend strongly to make a backup of stock before you wipe to flash new ROM.

I guess i'm confused because of my Hboot being on 3.19. I've been wondering if there is a need to run a higher Hboot that probably came out with the new OTA, but the VenonRom 4.2 has been running with no problems. So i guess what I am really trying to achieve is upgrading HBoot and Radio.

Those r removed. Why you wonder because if boot.IMG is included an your on a custom ROM that don't use stock boot.IMG an modules you will be in a boot loop till you fastboot your ROM boot.img an recovery is removed because who wants a stock recovery to replace twrp then you have to flash your twrp back. Make sense to you?
