Ok, so is it possible that you can write down simple step by step instructions? Sorry I feel so dumb about this. I've done this before with other devices but it's been years.

Sure you just boot the phone to fastboot USB
then put the rom.zip in the folder with fastboot and use these commands
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip rom.zip
fastboot flash zip rom.zip
fastboot reboot
Flash it 2 times like it says their ...commands may be a little different on a MAC

what did you do before it bootloop?
If you've tried to install a custom rom, you have probably forgotten to flash the boot.img separately.
Otherwise. To flash the RUU, you need to RElock your bootloader "fastboot oem lock" and then run the .exe RUU file as administrator.

Ok, try this then, the wifi problem probably isn't hardware related as the button is greyed out. therefore no need to return phone (yet)
1, You are s off (fantastic, keep this as you can do alot more to sort issues out this way)
2, flash a custom recovery, for simplicity, use philz recovery - rename the img to recovery.img and place in folder on your PC where your adb/fastboot stuff is, then reboot ur m8 into bootloader and using CMD typr "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" then "fastboot erase cache". You should now have something to restore......
3, ......THIS on your device. basically on the root of your internal storage there should be a folder called "clockworkmod" and in there a folder called "backup" unzip the file and then copy across the file to that backup folder. Reboot into recovery and restore the backup. You now have a stock rom installed.
4, Flash THE 1.54.401.10 FIRMWARE using teither of the guides i showed you. You now have stock rom and firmware. also stock recovery and stock hboot as the firmware takes care of these for you
5, reboot your device and check for software updates, you should be able to take the ota and apply it, furthermore by completeing the previous steps, this should have solved your wifi isse and u will be on 4.4.3

Sense your unlocked you can flash a custom recovery using fastboot as i would use twrp. An then download supersu.zip an flash it in your newly installed twrp recovery. An now you are rooted.
Maybe I didn't explain properly my bootloader is not unlocked yet, just wanted to know since the update is there a new root method....? Thanks for replying

nbd. You should be able to use htcdev.com to unlock your bootloader Or you can go the s-off way(which I recommend) use the sunshine app for s-off(if your device is capable of s-off now) an if it is sunshine will s-off an unlock for you an then do what I said above post. Those r really your only 2 choices.
FYI you will need to be on either of the latest two twrp versions to install su binaries properly if you have issues. Sunshine wouldn't work for me but its really easy to unlock bootloader and install twrp and su
If i'm s-off already I should be able to run the latest RUU to get me up to date with the firmware and then flash TWRP and then a rom correct?

You could do that yes. Or just flash the firmware zip an then flash twrp an flash updated ROM an you r up to date....if you run ruu it will wipe your device so backup your stuff to a PC or external an then proceed with ruu an flashing twrp then ROM. After you flash twrp I recommend strongly to make a backup of stock before you wipe to flash new ROM.

I guess i'm confused because of my Hboot being on 3.19. I've been wondering if there is a need to run a higher Hboot that probably came out with the new OTA, but the VenonRom 4.2 has been running with no problems. So i guess what I am really trying to achieve is upgrading HBoot and Radio.

Those r removed. Why you wonder because if boot.IMG is included an your on a custom ROM that don't use stock boot.IMG an modules you will be in a boot loop till you fastboot your ROM boot.img an recovery is removed because who wants a stock recovery to replace twrp then you have to flash your twrp back. Make sense to you?

Dev version to Tmobile US version

Odd question but I have the Developer edition. I use it on T-mobile and just out of curiosity was wondering if it's possible to convert it to a T-mobile variant. I mostly am wondering because of wifi calling and volte. I know most people want to do the opposite, but I figured I'd ask. If it's possible to convert a T-mobile version to developer than I figured it could be done the other way. Any info would be much appreciated! Thank you!

I agree with effortless I have done this with both of my m9's. What I did was after s-off and bootloader unlock I changed mid and cid. But instead of flashing the RUU right away I flashed the 1.32 no-wipe firmware from here. after that I ran the 1.32 RUU and after that I accepted the ota.
Not only will you get the volte and wifi calling but my reception went from 3 bars to full bars. was definitely worth the headache.

To change CID: fastboot oem writecid T-MOB010

which files do i need to downgrade my phone to nougat?

I was thinking of selling my phone and I would like to downgrade it to nougat.
I'm using leedroid and this is the information on my phone:
UNLOCKED
FUSED
CID-BS_US001
MID-2PS650000
S-OFF
Compilation number 3.16.617.9
I know that with s-off it is easier to perform the downgrade but I do not want to break my phone so if someone could help me I would appreciate it a lot!
I was looking for the firmware on this page:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-10/how-to/2016-05-27-fastboot-flashing-firmware-t3387520
but I do not know which is the one indicated for my phone, I also do not know which RUU I should flash.
I would look for the 2.41.617 RUU and flash that, then do the "erase persist" command which you can find in the guides section in the "solution no signal" thread.

I found the firmware 2.51.617.32 and the RUU 2.51.617.32 of the htc page, would these work?
and what to do with the RRU if it is an exe?
Sorry but I have never done a downgrade before.

Exe could work but is down to if your Java and HTC fastboot is configured well on your PC. I prefer the zip as its much easier and no commands are needed.

If i had to do this i would use the zip, but that's still my opinion.
If the RUU doesn't work the first time you can flash the 2.41.617 firmware first (via fastboot) and then flash the RUU, then erase persist.
Should do the trick
