JUST DIAL *#0808# to enable MTP. Or just go to Settings > Storage >click three dots in top right > USB connection mode > Select MTP.
If it does work, what's your android version?
*Go to Settings/Developer options/select USB settings/MTP.

Are you using the USB cable that came with your phone? Try a different cable as well.

[Q] Motorola drivers for rooting.

Is this ( http://www.motorola.com/consumers/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=bda09ec8009a0210VgnVCM1000008806b00aRCRD ) right for rooting? And if I root with SuperOneClick, what usb mode should I use ?
Thanks in advance!
I am using this SuperOneClick version without any issues: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=624175&d=1307984755
Connect your phone to your pc with the usb cable
ENABLE USB DEBUGGING (Settings > Applications > Development)
extract the file you downloaded and run super one click
click root (click yes if it asks to install busybox)
reboot phone

try to turn off USB debugging then try connecting as mass storage
it might be kernel-related... are you on stock kernel or did you flash a custom one?

I have a problem with my Note 2 (N7100).
When I connect my Note 2 (N7100) to my Laptop, its not connected as a media device, it takes charge only. I can't see the internal storage or memory card as a external device, also not connected in download mode in odin.
Please anyone help me solve the issue.
Thanks in Advance.

Are you using a custom ROM....
Anyway after connecting your phone you should see a notification on the bar that says USB for charging, click on that and tap on the second option, USB for media transfer
Anymore suggestion
