So I'm switching over from the T-Mobile G2x and I'm getting the Galaxy Nexus from the play store next week, and I wanna know how good is T-Mobile on this phone like the signal strength? Which HSPA+ do we get 21 or 42? Just wanna make sure it works with T-Mobile.

Oh it works and its only 21 but not like bit matters no one comes close and signal strength is crap in my house it struggles to get one bar where the s2 got two or three. But service is good nonetheless

I had a g2x. The nexus gets better service than it did across the board, but my SGS4G got a little better data speeds (its also a 21hspa+ device) whereas the nexus does better on cell service.

H is "4g". It should show 3g until its actually actively transferring data then switch to H.

Anyone have issues with data connection ad using an extended network?

And this is with a verizon galaxy Nexus

What ya mean?
It will show connected to an extended network but it will not connect to roaming data and made sure roaming g data was connected. Another user that had a Galxy Nexus with Verizon said they had to out in a code to get it to work for him I'm sure it was some modem setting but not sure

Not really sure what's your problem, but i guess Dragn4rce could help you.
Do you mean a "Network Extender" from Verizon?
I use one of these in my home and it works flawlessly.
I should add though that mine is an older model that only extends voice, not data.
I use my Wi-Fi home network for data.
No extended network like when you are using g another providers tower

Sometimes my data won't work and I can only make calls and texts when goes to a different tower

You mean roaming..
Beamed from my Maguro.
Yeah shows up as extended network though

I work in an area where I'm connected to Verizon's extended network. I get no data connection. My coworker with an iPhone gets 3G data on the same network.
I have data, data roaming, and national data roaming all enabled.
Does anybody know how I can get data working?
Yep this is my same issue except was the same phone for me

I have same problem when I make phone my LTE drop to 4G.
It is not a problem it is normal. Tmobile does not have voice over lte so it drops even on stock
I also have a problem when it goes to 4G and I'm watching YouTube it won't go back to lte unless I stop YouTube or stop a download

I'm having too slow speeds over T-Mobile on DFW area. Tried another sim card and I got the same issue. Apparently other phones in my area are OK. Anyone have a clue? Or I have to get a replacement? TIA

The only real way to kind of prove that it's your phone and not your service is to do speed tests with a few other T-Mobile phones along with your 5X. And if the other are consistently higher, then maybe it's possible its your 5X.
Also, did you get 6.0.1 which give you band 12 LTE?

I'll try to do that whenever I'm getting slow speeds again because unfortunately I never have another tmo phone with me to test when it happens. And also after 7-8pm the speeds gets high again. Weird.

And yes I'm using 6.0.1 right now but it doesn't seems to get any T-Mobile band 12 around here! Also how do you do to get your 5x to work on sprint? I tried to activate mine on boost and then sprint and the guys over there told me that I needed to buy a phone from them.

Just went to a service repair Sprint store. They knew exactly what to do because they received a corporate memo. The guy even showed me it on the screen. Says what SIM to use because they're very specific. This was back in October right when the phone launched.
