I'm in San Bernardino (hour east of LA) and the last two days my 4G has been dead. It's always been rock solid at my house address. Any ideas?

I know sprint has been upgrading their towers. Here in Florida some were down for a couple of days. They promised 4g here and never got it.

[Q]Signal Strength with T-Mobile?

So I'm switching over from the T-Mobile G2x and I'm getting the Galaxy Nexus from the play store next week, and I wanna know how good is T-Mobile on this phone like the signal strength? Which HSPA+ do we get 21 or 42? Just wanna make sure it works with T-Mobile.

Oh it works and its only 21 but not like bit matters no one comes close and signal strength is crap in my house it struggles to get one bar where the s2 got two or three. But service is good nonetheless

I had a g2x. The nexus gets better service than it did across the board, but my SGS4G got a little better data speeds (its also a 21hspa+ device) whereas the nexus does better on cell service.

H is "4g". It should show 3g until its actually actively transferring data then switch to H.

At&t lte users

Ok so I thought I'd contribute a bit and start a topic regarding what people thought of AT&T's LTE network.
I got an iPhone 5 the day they came out and was getting some amazing speeds. Like 15 Mbps down and 6 Mbps up. But within a few weeks of having my phone I started noticing dramatic drops. I live on Los Angeles and in the city I now get 2-3 down and less than 1 up. So what I would do with my iPhone was turn off LTE and too my surprise the 4g network was doing leaps and bounds better. About 6-8 down but still less than 1 up.
Now I have my new galaxy note 2 and still don't have the best of LTE but 4g is still giving me the high downloads I was seeing on my iPhone 5. So for the most part I keep my LTE shut off on my phone though turning it on and off isn't as easy to do on android as it was on my iPhone. Unless anyone knows a toggle I can add some how?
Anyways just thought I'd start this little discussion to see what everyone else thought about their LTE in their area. Personally I think it's a joke how expensive AT&T is and how poor quality their bandwidth is. If it's gonna be expensive it ought to work great. But I guess that's just how things go with all carriers. Well love to read your guys' thoughts.

Sounds like your LTE network is saturated with users. It was bound to happen:thumbup:

thats what i figured but whats good is since most people dont know how to turn it off it leaves my 4g network wide open haha. even though my phone wont boot again now after trying to boot with no sim card in it, back to the forums i go.
how does one force 4g mode from lte?
Take out your sim card. Turn your phone on. Go to your dialer and dial *#2263#

Unfortunately I only get hspa+ in my area but in Allentown, PA about 45 minutes away I got these LTE speeds on rt. 78. Wish I had LTE in the Poconos
Sent from my SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2
I get no more than 12mb down/9mb up in Margate/Coconut Creek/Boca Raton, FL area and that is at NIGHT when no one is on. During the day, the HSPA+ is faster.
I usually get 10-15 mbps in Tulsa Ok. I have seen 50+ a couple times. Unfortunately I don't get LTE anywhere I go on a daily basis. I can get it by going 2 blocks south of my house, but my daily commute takes me north away from any coverage. Still happy enough with hspa+ as I usually get 4-5 mbps which is plenty fast to do anything I really need to do on my phone.

I drove through San Diego over the weekend and saw 60 down 14 up.

4g

Can someone please tell me what network settings should the galaxy note be on to get 4g?
Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
What area are you in and you know for sure you have lte? It should be on automatic or CDMA/lte
Well, what happened was last night I was at home and I think it was set to CDMA, but I looked in the status bar and it said 4g clear as day (with data) and I was shocked. I'm in Chattanooga tn. It kept switching from 3g to 4g.
