Sprint 3g while on phone call

Ok i thought someone posted this before but it had turned up to be a cm9 bug. Well im running the phantom blazers Rom version 1.4 and i was talking on the phone using GPS and missed my turn. It rerouted me with no data connection error. I then opened up the browser and went to xda's website with no issues. Actually seemed faster then normal. Click on a new thread that i have never been on and pulled it up no problem. I am in Ohio so no lte plus it's disabled. What's the deal?? It showed 3g the whole time.....

Evo LTE and SGS3 support data and voice at the same time. Why it took this long to happen, who knows...but it is a good thing.

nah, cdma is actually capable of it of voice+data. it was actually carrier and phone technology limitation

How do you set it to 4G only?

I'm having trouble keeping a 4G signal with this phone. My galaxy s2 would stay on 4G in my area but this s3 is pretty much staying on a edge connection.
I know you could change the S2 to 4G only mode but I'm not seeing the option on the S3.
Any help? The 4G signal here is good. Idk why it keeps switching.

Try dialing *#*#4636#*#* then in device information set it to wcdma only.

Thanks, I tried that but it just keeps defaulting back to gsm auto. Am I missing something?

There's a great app called network that takes you to that menu as well, a little more convenient than typing in that the numbers every time.

That is normal. Try selecting one of the other options till it sticks.then select cdma only.

quick question. idk if anybody else notice their signal icon changes from LTE TO 4g when ever ur on a call.? is this normal? thanks!

Normal, same thing happens if you're on HSPA it would drop to 3G and 3G to EDGE or GPRS depending.

Tmobile doesn't have voice over lte so that is normal behavior

I hit thanks by accident. No, it's because the phone can't keep an LTE connection at the same time as a phone call. Fast dormancy has to do with HSPA+.

I know I forgot the name but it will always drop to the next lowest connection during a call say edge to g or whatever. Thats just an example or hspa to edge.

I am wondering if it is possible to be on the internet while on a telephone call? I believe there are some phones that can do this like the HTC 4G LTE but is this possible with my samsung galaxy note 2. I think I can do this using wifi but I'm talking about with a normal 3G connection is that possible.

Probably would have been quicker to call someone put them on speakerphone and try it out??

Nope. Not possible. The galaxy s3, and evo 4g LTE can. The note 2 cannot. I'm not sure about the Galaxy S4.
You can use LTE or wifi while on a phone call with the note 2..just not 3g.

Every body, I brought a SGH-M919 T-Moblile LTE 4g. But i can't use video call from Bangladesh because there are no 4g network only 2g & 3g. Please help me how to make 3g video call from this phone. please I am worried about it.

What application are you trying to use for the video call?
