Hello.
Some days ago i've rooted my motorola using kingroot. After reboot the root dissapeared and i decided to repmace kingroot and kinguser with Supersu. Supersu updated the binary and asked to reboot, but right now my pho'e won't boot up anymore! If i press power button, the bootloader message just stays there. I've waited 4 ours and than i decided to turn him of. Any help?[emoji120]
Can you get into recovery?
Yes, but when i install supersu with twrp the same problem is there. Starts up and freezes on the bootloader message.
Did you try to factory reset it?
Factory reset isn't solving the problem. Still that dumb message. Help!!!
The only way i can acces my phone is with replacing all the system.spareschunk_(numberhere) to the stocks using fastboot. But when supersu (automatically!!!) updated the binary, my phone just freezes again on bootloader message. Please tell me how to stop this freeze! I want root!
[Edit]: my phone is moto g 3 xt1541 europe 8gb running android 6.0
Found it on xda :
Previous methods to root Android 6.0 required a SELinux policy patch in the kernel, without which, the device would not boot.

I think I need to do a Flashback on my Tablet so I can truly root it. I've tried a few ways to root it and all have failed. SuperUser won't open at all. Tried to Towelroot, even tried Stump Root and Stump says the device is already rooted, but I know it's not...
Just noticed I posted this in the wrong forum.

Got CWM into come up, but can't find the SU Zip file... So I just did the reboot from CWM... Now all it does is run a bit slower. SU trys to open, but stats Binary issues. Nothing changed, but slower device now.

Ok was able to run the SU Zip through CWM and had it rebooted after it was completed. Once it was on. I looked around on the Tablet and SU isn't installed. Running Root Checker Pro and it says the Devices appears to be running very Slow... Been on this screen for a few mins already.
Edit: Went back into CWM and Re-Booted... When I clicked on it a new page loaded and had an option to Fix Root... Choose it and Re-booted.
Downloaded SU from Google Play and it worked now... HUGE THANKS....
Well Crap... Says it's rooted. Xmod is getting Permission from Super User.. Mod installed in the Game... launch from xMod and the Game Crashes.
Ok opened SU and it triggered KNOX... Clicked to let SU to try and disable KNOX.... Been on that Screen for 5min so far...I also get a Security Notice Stating Unauthorized access to a secured area has been blocked.
..........................................................................
Unistalled SU and Restalled it. Let SU try and Fix KNOX again... Fixed it in just a Few Seconds.
Wroking 100% Now. The last issue was with XMod not the root.
BIG THANKS

As usual .. after unlock, install TWRP and install SuperSU.zip
You need to read and understand this first : http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-10/development/psa-htc-policy-unlocking-bootloader-t3365986
and here is the TWRP : http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-10/development/recovery-twrp-touch-recovery-t3358139
Thanks for the answer. Both links give me an error in the xda app. Know where to find them but just FYI.
So I need to replace the recovery without doubt. Hmm, not sure if I want that reading the things about ota and stock recovery. I'm actually waiting for mike1986 to create a custom rom for the 10 but up until now no news about that.

Nope, and it as much as says so a few posts above yours.
I unlocked my device via htcdev, flashed trwp latest version and sideloaded the last beta version of supersu (2.71). These steps did the trick although some apps that require root (fstrim for example) claim I need to root the device. Rootchecker on the other hand claim my device is rooted. Main reason for me to unlock was adaway to get an almost ad free device.

Was your device encrypted? Thought all devices are and you loose all userdata when you install TWRP. or even when you Unlock via htcDev?

It will wipe when you unlock but unlike previous years, because it is encrypted it will forget its access when you s-off as well.

in my opinion I would not even bother with the OTA now that your unlocked and rooted. you will start seeing custom stuff soon enough. I'm still waiting for any info on mine even being shipped out.
What is the correct root procedure to keep signal?
I've tried:
1 unlock bootloader via htcdev.
2 flash TWRP.
3 flash SuperSU
4 run SunShine
5 re-enable data encryption via settings > storage
It then reboots and I see HTC logo (thought it was encrypting without giving any indication, so I left it overnight) and it was stuck in this state. In the morning I force rebooted and was still unencrypted and without signal, so I attempted step 5 with same result...

You shouldn't need root to change apn.
Settings> connections> mobile networks> access point names> click "add" upper right corner
Remember to click "save" when the apn is added then reboot.
You could try out systemless root. I've had no root related issues using Magisk, and haven't used traditional root since. For G928T, you first have to flash TWRP via Odin. Once the flashing finishes, the phone will reboot. As soon as the screen goes black, hold the volume up + home + power keys until the s6 logo appears. If you pressed on time then you should boot into your new recovery. You will get a warning talking about allowing modifications, you need to slide to allow. From there tap install and flash Magisk (I re-uploaded since v15 gave me boot issues and I couldn't find v14.) Then tap reboot, declining additional installs if prompted. If you can't find Magisk Manager in your apps, install it from here. More information on Magisk can be found on the official thread.

Yeah, I have that exact baseband on my edge+, magisk works no problem. They've updated magisk to 15.2 and I havent had any issues with that, so you can download it from the official thread. Just make sure to enable OEM unlock under developer options to allow for TWRP and Magisk installation. If you install anything without that step, you may be unable to boot because of FRP.

well : I am also having trouble rooting COS 13 ...
I received a (new) Swift for a friend and when I flash SuperSU v2.46 from recovery, the phone reboots and only shows (forever):
Code:
cyanogen
mod
ready
I tried several custom recoveries (twrp 2.7 and 3.0 and CM-13.0).
To recover I needed to fastboot re flash stock.
Note that I could once root COS 12.1 on another Swift phone for another friend just fine.
So this seems a 13.0 specific issue. Perhaps how SuperSU handles Android 6.
Good news is I can take a TWRP backup. But I would also want to be
able to take Titatium Backup and do other things that require root.
Does this ring a bell?
Thanks for enlightening me how to root COS 13.0

Again: any help / ideas welcome
