Hello,
my brother is using Lg G3s for a year and a half now, no rooting and flashing just stock experience.
Yesterday while he was on a trip he plugged phone into car charger and phone just went dead.
I mean really dead. No sign of life.
I tried to enter recovery with combination power+vol down... no response.
Removed battery and plugged it into wall charger... no response.
connected to my pc... no responce... device bricked / dead !!!
So...
Any solution to problem, anyone had the same issue ???

Hey guys!
I need your help.
When I shut down my Arc S, then put in the charger, and reboot I'll end in a bootloop.
But it's only when I put in the charger while the device is shut down.
Isn't the device shutted down, I have no problem with it.
Anyone could help me?

i dont think thats a bootloop i have that aswell when i plug it in while turned off it boots but not fully just to a screen with a battery charging on it and when i take it out it turns off again.
In my opinion it's definitely a bootloop.
When I boot the device it comes to the SE logo, then to the bootanimation and finally back to the SE logo and as far as I know is that called a bootloop.
sorry i assumed you had the same thing as me. mine just boots into a charging screen
Yes, as far as I know every device boots in charging screen.
Does this happen if you try with a different charger or with the same charger but plugged into a different wall plug?
If it does, try to remove the battery with the charger still connected and then put the battery back in after about a minute or two.

It was with the original charger.
But the problem is solved, now I'm using LiveDock without any issues.
However, maybe it was a kernel/ROM bug or I accidentally deleted/changed some files.
(flashed many different ROMs/kernels in the last time )
Hello All,
I have a problem that occurred a few days ago with my LG G3 (apx. 6 months old). My phone has been running fine and out of nowhere, my phone turned off and I couldn't turn it back on. Initially, I thought that the battery may have died because I was using a golf app that utilized gps, but my phone was at a 100% 20 min prior to it turning off. When I got to my car, I plugged it into the charger, but I didn't see the charging light and it still wouldn't turn on. When I got home, I plugged it into the OEM charger for about two hours without any success (the phone felt warm similar to when I charge my phone). I've long pressed the power button, tried the power and lower volume button to hard reboot without any success. I bought this through the t-mobile site like my previous phones through their New2U certified refurbished program which comes with a 90 day warranty (expired).
Has anyone experienced a similar issue and if so, what did you do to correct the issue because T-Mobile referred me to LG so that they can direct me to an authorized retailer. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Note: the phone is in great condition.
Thanks
Have you tried removing the battery, holding down the power button until any residual current is discharged, reinserting the battery, then plugging back in the OEM wall charger?

turning off on its own might be due to overheating
Lg G3 d851 turn off
Hi guys i have same problem with my Lg G3 D851. Is turned off after upgrade root but isn't back on. display complete is black, no Recovery mode and no Download Mode. Can you help me?
if you guys are getting nothing when the phone is plugged in either then i suspect either something defective or mobo has lost connection to lcd screen. what roms do you guys use do they make sounds on boot? are you hearing sounds after attempting to turning it on and wait a few minutes?
Hi everyone,
my phone simply won't turn on anymore. It was still working fine yesterday and before I went to sleep I plugged it in the original AC charger like everyday (the phone was on ~50% battery and still working after I plugged it in). But when I tried to wake up to phone in the morning nothing happened. I disconnected the charger and tried to turn on the phone again but still nothing. Then I tried connecting it to my computer but that did not work either. The phone does not show any signs that it is "alive".
I checked the charger and usb port of the phone if their is any visible hardware damage but there wasn't. The phone is only 3 weeks old and was working fine until yesterday. It was running on MDB08M and the bootloader was unlocked so I do not know if I can send it back on warranty.
Anyone here who got the same problem and found a solution?
(sorry for my bad english)
I would try connecting it to the PC and check device manager for any signs of life.
I had a similar problem, the charger died but luckily I had a spare charger

I have tried connecting it to my computer but there is no sign of life.
I guess there is no other choice than sending it back to google with the bootloader unlocked ...
My phone has died almost the same. It started to reboot itself like almost everytime ((( and same with unlocked bootloader.... I had mine for 2 weeks. Now I wonder if its common issue with N5X... Did you send your to repair???
This just occurred on my phone. Working just fine with 80% battery. Started GMaps to get some directions. Hung for a couple of seconds then just turned off. Won't respond to button pushes and won't go into recovery mode either. It's like the phone is dead dead.
All these threads about 5xs dying. I guess I better really start saving for a op3t. ? I've had mine a year and it's been fine but from what I've gathered from reading, someone said that's when they usually bite it is a year+... ?

Not sure if it has anything to do with it or not but I never leave mine plugged in all night. I zap it an hour and roll out... Always scared it would melt for some reason..lol
Hello!
I have recently had some problems with my old HTC M8, I was round a friends house and decided to use his wall charger to charge my phone (bad idea).
I left my phone on charge all night and when I picked it up the next day it was stuck on the HTC boot splash image, I tried a few things at the time and wrote the phone off as buggered because it wasn't connecting to any PC and Fastboot said there wasn't a USB connection (charge only).
I'v been using an old Moto G for a while now and i'm really missing my M8. I have repaired a few smartphones in the past so I bought a new USB logic board for the M8 and replaced it.
This didn't solve my issue...
What I have tried:
New USB logic board
"Battery calibration" (hold down all buttons for 2mins+)
Leaving the phone on charge for hours at a time
My current situation:
The phone is 100% lifeless when not plugged in.
There is slow flashing orange light when plugged in
Because the phone is clearly not charging and it is also stone cold after a day on charge, I think that the battery could need replacing? Or is this phone a write off?
Any help is much appreciated.

You are right, try replacing battery if it's financially viable (considering how much you already spent).
If replacing battery doesn't work just throw it out and buy the HTC 10.
So i had the G4 in my pocket and i do not remember how much charge it had on it at the time. I was working at the computer for a couple hours and when i pulled my phone out it was off. I plugged in my cord and the LED did not turn on so I waited a minute. Nothing. Tried a different cord, waited a minute. Nothing. Tried another cord connected to a battery pack. Nothing. Tried another cord on a different power source and still nothing.
Phone is stock, no root, no rom no reccent drops or other issues. It does seem to take a charge because the battery pack that i had connected for an hour did go from 64% to 40%
Sprint LG G4 if that matters. By nothing I mean no logo screen nothing on screen, no response like there is no battery at all.

Seems to be hardware related maybe it is the ilapo even when it not bootloops. Nevertheless send it to repair but it would try the freezer method first to backup data if possible.

Leave it on charger ,maybe it will start booting when it detects 100% battery.probably,it won't fully boot,it will stay at never-ending boot.Faulty motherboard.

So i left it off of charger yesterday when I went to work . This morning i tried to turn it on and got the LG logo but then it said the battery was too low to power on. I charged it to about 60% turned it on and it seems fine..
Thanks for all the input, if it dies for real I'll try that stuff.

Your problem is you need a new battery
Agreed with above. Your battery is almost dead. Get a new battery.
My Galaxy Note 1 was like this.
Lg g4 h810
Hello, I already opened my lg g4 h810 charge the battery directly because when measuring it gave me a very low voltage and it tells me a correct measurement. disarm the equipment I made him reballing with a homemade iron for about 3 minutes but nothing. My lg g4 shows exactly what (google translate)
