So i had the G4 in my pocket and i do not remember how much charge it had on it at the time. I was working at the computer for a couple hours and when i pulled my phone out it was off. I plugged in my cord and the LED did not turn on so I waited a minute. Nothing. Tried a different cord, waited a minute. Nothing. Tried another cord connected to a battery pack. Nothing. Tried another cord on a different power source and still nothing.
Phone is stock, no root, no rom no reccent drops or other issues. It does seem to take a charge because the battery pack that i had connected for an hour did go from 64% to 40%
Sprint LG G4 if that matters. By nothing I mean no logo screen nothing on screen, no response like there is no battery at all.

Seems to be hardware related maybe it is the ilapo even when it not bootloops. Nevertheless send it to repair but it would try the freezer method first to backup data if possible.

Leave it on charger ,maybe it will start booting when it detects 100% battery.probably,it won't fully boot,it will stay at never-ending boot.Faulty motherboard.

So i left it off of charger yesterday when I went to work . This morning i tried to turn it on and got the LG logo but then it said the battery was too low to power on. I charged it to about 60% turned it on and it seems fine..
Thanks for all the input, if it dies for real I'll try that stuff.

Your problem is you need a new battery
Agreed with above. Your battery is almost dead. Get a new battery.
My Galaxy Note 1 was like this.
Lg g4 h810
Hello, I already opened my lg g4 h810 charge the battery directly because when measuring it gave me a very low voltage and it tells me a correct measurement. disarm the equipment I made him reballing with a homemade iron for about 3 minutes but nothing. My lg g4 shows exactly what (google translate)

hey guys, I noticed a problem about the recharging time after updated LG optimus g to kitkat. now it takes really long hours to charge the phone completely, for example it needs at least 7-8 hours or even more. how can I solve this problem?
I have this problem. Anyone knows something about this?
You should try too calibrate your battery
I'd recommend to use NEMA BATTERY CALIBRATION

I also have a problem with my LG Optimus G. I have Android KitKat, software 20C, rooted phone. Yesterday my phone battery dropped to 0%. I was sick and I didn't have time to charge it. Today I plug my charger but nothing happens. LED isn't working (no red colour), there is nothing on my smartphone display. What's the problem with this smartphone, I hope he isn't bricked.

I had the same problem, turns out it was just my charger. After I bought a new one the charging time droped from 7h to 2h.
I have the same problem. I can confirm that the problem is the charger or the charging port or the usb cable socket.

im also starting to notice my phone is charging so slow, the battery icon indicates that it's filling up but sometimes the percentage wont go up, it will be stuck at 50% for couple of hours, and i have read some topics saying that This phone has really some problem burning up the charging ports, one even said that he already burned 4 chargers out of this phone is this true?

No, it's not. Just change the USB cable. If didn't help change the battery. I myself did it vice versa!

i think it's my charger, because i tried my friend's charger from his Zenfone 5 and it charged my phone for just about 2hrs or so.
mine would charge for atleast 3 to 5% and after that it will not charge anymore, i wonder what happened? I am on full stock right now fully unrooted using LG flash tool. it's really a shame that my charger gave up so soon as i have only bought this phone(Brand New) not 2 months ago.

I had exactly the same problem. I forced them to change my main board under guarantee. It didn't help. I bought a new battery. Helped but charging time was 3 hours. I saw I couldn't transfer files via USB tried changing cable and I can charge 0 to 100 in 2:10 hours. 20 mins faster than the day I bought my phone. The stock charger is OK but the cable is a crap. Do what I did from bottom to top!
I just got my G4 yesterday... I noticed that the phone turned itself on (after being switched off) upon charging. Is it normal that the phone power on by itself upon charging? Thanks
Maybe you accidelty touched it on. And didn't notice it,m
I believe I noticed this too myself. G4 completely discharged yesterday which I placed on charge switched off. After approx 30mins or so the phone had booted and was sat waiting for me to enter my SIM pin code.

Eric.. no matter what charger i am using... even from USB cable from the laptop, it will turn on the handset... so i think it is the way it is
I think that useful actually.
Some devices are just setup like that. No need for alarm.
My Asus Infinity tablet does it; regardless of the current battery level, if it's off and I plug it in, it will boot.
Hello All,
I have a problem that occurred a few days ago with my LG G3 (apx. 6 months old). My phone has been running fine and out of nowhere, my phone turned off and I couldn't turn it back on. Initially, I thought that the battery may have died because I was using a golf app that utilized gps, but my phone was at a 100% 20 min prior to it turning off. When I got to my car, I plugged it into the charger, but I didn't see the charging light and it still wouldn't turn on. When I got home, I plugged it into the OEM charger for about two hours without any success (the phone felt warm similar to when I charge my phone). I've long pressed the power button, tried the power and lower volume button to hard reboot without any success. I bought this through the t-mobile site like my previous phones through their New2U certified refurbished program which comes with a 90 day warranty (expired).
Has anyone experienced a similar issue and if so, what did you do to correct the issue because T-Mobile referred me to LG so that they can direct me to an authorized retailer. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Note: the phone is in great condition.
Thanks
Have you tried removing the battery, holding down the power button until any residual current is discharged, reinserting the battery, then plugging back in the OEM wall charger?
bump im having the same issue with my vs985 was at full charge turned off and didnt turn back on

Lg G3 d851 turn off
Hi guys i have same problem with my Lg G3 D851. Is turned off after upgrade root but isn't back on. display complete is black, no Recovery mode and no Download Mode. Can you help me?
if you guys are getting nothing when the phone is plugged in either then i suspect either something defective or mobo has lost connection to lcd screen. what roms do you guys use do they make sounds on boot? are you hearing sounds after attempting to turning it on and wait a few minutes?
I have a LG G3 D851 from T-Mobile. I had it from about two years now. It upgraded to Android M about a year ago and now the phone won't charge or turn on. I tried everything. First I tried to hard reset' but nothing. Next I tried refrigeration. The phone would start up and go to homescreen, but then freeze and shut off. I even bought a new battery, but it would still have the same problem. Sometimes tne phone would start and shiw that screen on but nothing on it, and it would also turn on and turn off then show the led flash red and blue. When I charge it, it would show the battery loading up and shut down, then the phone would keep restarting. Like I said, tried every thing. If anyone could help me that would be great.
Thanks

I would start with replacing the battery. It has been a wbile since i have had a g3 but this was a common issue. The batteries were known to bassicly just keel out
The solution is a simple one.
1 remove battery
2 connect charging cable (I am not kidding)
3 power in the phone
4 the phone will try to boot
5 it will fail to boot or maybe it will boot
6 insert battery while the charging cable is still attached
7 power the phone
8 the phone will boot and show 100% battery
9 reboot phone
The next video shows my phone working without the battery...

Long story short my g4 died about 2 years ago, has been sitting since. Just one day it wouldn't turn on and I was already fed up with the QoL with the g4 so I swapped.
It has a lot of pictures I really want so I started messing with it. Plugged in, said battery at 0% please charge before powering on. Wouldn't charge at all after a day on this plug so I ordered a new battery. With this new battery I can't even get to this screen, it just boots up and gets stuck on a black screen while vibrating nonstop. Figure maybe something internally won't charge the battery so I have an external charger on its way here. I decided if that doesn't let it power on, then it's likely a bad mobo. Which leads me to my question: how do I get my pictures? Replacing the mobo won't work AFAIK because the storage is on it

Try SALT within download mode (see my sig).
Do a custom backup and choose userdata .
If you cannot get into download mode anymore check the bootloop fix list (see my sig)

I can't do any of that. Can't get into download mode or anything. Is there some way of getting into the devices storage without powering it on or replacing motherboard? I honestly don't give a **** about the phone, I just want the pictures.
I've tried everything except for the stove...
Update: auxiliary phone charger got here, When I try to boot into booloader/recovery it FEELS like its getting into it, but no display shows. Don't know what vibrations omit for X mode, but considering buying an LCD screen rep.
Update 2: Managed to get the LG startup logo to show. Just kept pulling the battery, holding power for 60 seconds w/o sim card or sd card, putting battery in and holding power again, then it finally showed up! Stayed for about 10 seconds then went back to black screen, any ideas what this means and where it's pointing me to fix?
