Screen graphics completely messed up - Moto 360

Hello there,
my watch is left in a unusable state right now.
At first i got sometimes the burn-in issue whilst charging . No problem turned the screen of, everything seems fine.
But since a few day the complete graphics are messed up and glitchy as you can see in the attached photos.
Tried a factory reset, didnt help.
Contacted the support chat but they cant offer me a solution cause i bought the watch on vacation in the US and im now in Germany
Any suggestions?

Is your watch still under warranty? Because if that still under warranty, that doesn't matter where you brought your watch they have to replaced free of charge, because is a mechanical issue.

I brought mine used from eBay, the guy told me that he brought the watch in Europe when he was stationed there. After I brought the watch, the watch decided to start to turn off by itself. I went online and filled up a service request and they told me that the watch still under warranty until April of this year, they replaced the watch, for free for me. Try to go to Motorola website and see if you can do the same thing. Good luck.

Flickering screen

Greetings
This problem started only today. The screen literally flickers like a malfunctioning tube-light. I have dropped my Xperia ZL at the service center as they want to "observe" it. I would like nothing short of a replacement unit from Sony. It's been 30 days since I purchased the product. I also had a faulty charger when I first purchased the phone. Btw, I am from India and the phone model number is C6502.
My main intention is to get a replacement unit as I don't want my phone sent to the repair center as early as one month after purchase.
Any inputs regarding this will be greatly appreciated.

as long as u replace it within the replacement period its good ..either 15-30 days i guess .
otherwise they will only repair it .however if it is found to be a phone fault like maybe a lose wire they may not charge u
you should have straight away said replace it .
service centres here in india have a knack to be annoying and not replace it

Guess what!
I had got a faulty charger out of the box. I got it exchanged for a new one with the dealer. After 30 days, the display is screwed, flickering like a spoiled tube light.
The staff at the service center is absolutely rude and abusive and cannot communicate properly in English and the customers are made to wait for unnecessarily long durations to get a reply/answer. The problem as detected by the service center is with the phone's motherboard.
Sony India is not willing to replace my unit with a new one and is not willing to refund the amount either. They have told me that they will be replacing the motherboard only and nothing more. I don't trust these idiots anymore. What I need is a replacement unit or a complete refund.
Any suggestions?

Yes, for free. I am looking for a complete device replacement. I do not want them to replace my motherboard but the entire phone itself. Motherboard failing in a month - completely unacceptable. I just cannot imagine my new phone falling into the hands of those disgusting animals at the service center.
I just saw my xperia zl flckering or something like that. i was listening to music and lock the phone, and when I turn the screen on the lockscreen it was flickering and the song was stoped, i had to unlock it for it to stop.... mmm

Agreed I as well have come to this conclusion. Once unlocking my phones code it randomly flickers for a couple of minutes then once I let the brightness settle in (usually change to auto-brightness) I tend to not notice it. Definitely a software type of bug in .423

[Q] Dead pixel warranty repair policy and experience?

Hi,
Looks like my 8.4 Tab Pro Wifi has several dead pixels. 1 stuck and 3 dead to be exact. Didn't notice them early on because I usually have the brightness turned way down. I've had the tablet for about 6 weeks now.
http://www.samsung.com/my/support/warranty/ is the warranty policy. At the very bottom, it lists this:
Mobile Phone & Tablets
The Dead pixel warranty applies when your mobile phone display contains certain dead pixels as per below table within the standard warranty period on your mobile phone display which SAMSUNG will replace/replenish your defective mobile phone display.
Mobile Phones (includes Tablets, e.g. Model Code with GT-*)
General LCD 1 or over 1
Super-AMOLED 3 or over 3
WVGA resolution LCD 4 or over 4
General LCD 1 or over 1
Not sure which one category this tablet qualifies in... I believe it's a LCD? I think I'm covered regardless.
Anyone have experience with the warranty replacement process? I'm guessing you have to send it in, and weeks later they send it back?
I believe yours is an LCD. How many dead pixels are there? I would talk/chat with samsung support on their website or over the phone reguarding the process. But I think thats how it works

It just depends on how close you are to a repair center. I sent mine in for a repair last month and had it back in a matter of days. I was amazed at the turn around time!
That is pretty impressive! Looked online to see if I could find the US locations but they say to just call. Going on a trip in a week so definitely will wait until afterwards to put in the repair request.

I started a repair request online, but it would never go thru, so I made phone contact. The whole process was pretty easy as they emailed me the shipping label right away.

One last thing, as they've approved the RMA request. Did you send in the AC adapater/cable also? Have some strange contradicting info to send it in as well as the tablet.
I think they told me to send it with the tablet, which I did, and it was returned to me along with the repaired tablet

[Q] Phone wont start past LG opening screen

Hi, hoping for some input. I am not super technical.
We have a newish LG G3 phone. TBH, it is reconditioned by the authorised service centre as it apparently came out with flaws. It came with full LG warranty. We bought in January 2015. This week, it suddenly would not turn on past the LG screen. We tried changing batteries, leaving the battery out, nothing. We took it to the same authorised repair centre. They turned it on and said that we had rooted the phone and had voided the warranty. Now, I would not mind paying, if we had infact rooted the phone, but we had not. Further, they did not look into the electronics of the phone at all. They are asking $225 which is HUGE for us, I am wondering please, is this a known problem? We had not clicked any download links, in fact, not even downloaded any apps in the days preceding. I am so angry that they wont even look into the phone, the onus should be on them to prove to me that I rooted it, not to assume that I did when I didn't lol. Your help is so gratefully appreciated.

Did you buy from a carrier or a physical store?if you did it would be best to directly take it back to the place where you bought it and get them to sort it out?
If the person says that then the person isnt doing their job properly. A variety of issues not caused by you could have happened that result in this sort of problem. This isnt a known problem.
Does it boot into download mode?

We bought it from the place that is the authorised LG repairer in Sydney. I was getting my screen replaced, and noticed they had a sign up saying they had these reconditioned phones with full LG warranty. It was explained to me that these were the newly released phones that came out with glitches, they were repaired fully. So we did take it back to the same place, and I agree they are not doing their job properly, they have us by the short and curlies . I have mediated with Fair Trading, who have come back to say that the device is rooted, warranty voided lol. They still have NOT opened the phone!!! So frustrating.
Please ask them to explain how the device was rooted, they at least owe you that much?
When you got it did you or them turn it on and verify in the store that it was working at the store before you took it? Did you perhaps download the Lollipop OTA and then something happened to it
Does it still boot into download mode? Im pretty sure in your case you can still fix it if you can get it to boot into download mode. Pull out the battery and put it back in, hold volume up and plug it into the computer. Let me know what happens

Please help! Galaxy Tab S glitch.

So, I got a Tab S a couple of months ago and then about a month ago I started having some trouble with it. Lines flashing down the screen and the screen turning off. I'd have to lock and unlock to get the screen back on. Sent it to Samsung for repair and they sent it back about two weeks ago saying they couldn't find a problem. Well, the problem is definitely still there so today I took a video. Samsung said I would have to send it back in for more tests and that they would not watch the video. I'm afraid they're not going to find anything again so I was wondering if anyone had a similar problem and could help.

Does it still happen when you use power saver mode?
When the display goes blank, you press the power button twice, once to enter sleep mode, and again to wake it up, so it looks like a loose display connection or a faulty display, does the screen ever come back on without pressing the power button.
Does the brightness level effect how often the display goes blank?
John.
Thanks for getting back to me. It does still happen on power saving as it turned that on not long after I took the video. Screen brightness I'm not sure though because I packaged it back up to return or send for repair, whichever I decide is best to do.
This happend to me 2 times in the 6 months I have the tab s, seems more like a software thing for me.
All you can do is a factory reset, then install no apps (in case they cause the fault) and see if the problem is still there, if it is, all you can do if you are still in warranty is get an replacement or repair.
John.
I've got the tablet back out of the box while I wait for my repair packaging. I did a factory reset when I got in from work and restored a backup and straight away I had to the same problem. I've now done another reset but with out restore, I haven't even logged in to my Google account. So I'm thinking it's either an app I have installed, not that there were that many or some of the factory installed apps I disabled/removed. I don't think the restore from backup reinstalled apks such as remote play and show box so they can't have been the problem. Could deleting any of the factory apps cause any problems?
You can only delete factory apps when you are rooted, any you have delete without root will make no difference to your tablet stability, try and use the stock apps and see if the error shows.
John.
I've disabled a couple of them like New York times and the office suite one. It's working faultlessly at the minute. The problem is when it came back from Samsung it was working fine for about a week and then the problem returned so I can't be sure if I've solved anything or its just a ticking time bomb.
I don't know how Samsung tests the tablets, they will just send it back if they cannot find a fault, download a couple of benchmark apps, to stress your tablet and see if the fault shows up, see if increasing the brightness while benchmarking doe anything.
John.

Just ran Geekbench 3 adjusting brightness from lowest to full and nothing, worked fine. I'm at a loss, I know that if I send it back to Samsung they're not going to find anything and spoke to Very today, they won't refund me without Samsung authorising it.
Is that Very UK, if so they send phones and tablets for repair, if they cannot repair your phone/tablet in 30 days they give you a refund unless as you said the manufacture says to refund.
Hopefully your problem will not show again, but it could have been an downloaded app, or an update to an stock app that causes the problem only time will tell.
I suppose you are on lollipop, I decided to stay on Kitkat as it`s super stable for me.

Yeh it is, but I bought it a couple of months ago. And they've have to find the fault first.
Hello i have similiar kind of problem i mean it shows stripes and boom reboot or sometimes screen goes black.I wonder if you found any solution?
Have you done a factory data reset from the settings menu, you will loose all internal user information so backup first.
If you have done an reset and still have the problem and you are on the stock rom and have not flashed an rom and have not rooted then you have an hardware fault.
John.

If you are out of warranty check the battery as it sound like an bad connection or a bad battery, there are guides on youtube on how to get the cover off the tablet, you can buy a kit from the link below for $65 or cheaper on ebay for the battery and pry tool.

XIAOMI MI A1; Just turned off by itself randomly when i was using it. Cant turn it on

Ive only had this phone for 1 month and while I was on my bed using the phone when suddenly my phone just powered off by itself and it wouldn't turn back on. Ive tried plugging in the charger but it didnt do anything. I tried to force it on but it didnt do anything. Also, it wouldnt turn on in any way possible.. I suspect that my battery is damaged but im not too sure since I do not know much about smartphone technology and i think its also because that i used the bluetooth function with my car and i noticed that the phone was slightly hotter than usual, maybe this was the case but i dont know. Please help me out here.
Thanks for your time.
Go to the repair shop official if theirs one, unofficial if their isn't. Or contact those you got it from & let them hassle with it. It could be many things from simple battery ribbon to fried SoC... Anyhow even if you got it on wild still in most countries who ever sold it to you must provide one year warranty by the law.

What's cloud synced is recoverable regardless. As stated before it depends on what is the case of the problem. Could be a power stripe from battery which is easy & you don't lose any data or in the worst case it could be a main bord socket in which case you do as everything is on it (SoC, RAM, NAND...)...
