Hello I bought the Moto 360 1st gen two days ago, and yesterday I saw the Analog Keyboard from microsoft, but to install it I need to use adb... will I lose warranty?
What can I do rooting it? I know what a rooted mobile can do, but a smartwatch?

Hello all,
I've had my Iconia A100 for 2 days in which I got familiar with the whole android experience, rooted it as well and everything was peachy. Then the battery stopped charging so it died completely(no charging light when plugged in using multiple chargers).
I have to RMA for the device now but now i'm wondering since I rooted the device earlier and I'm unable to un-root because of it not turning on, what will happen when I send it back to be repaired? Will I have to pay to have the battery replaced because it is rooted?
rooting does not void warrentee, only unlocking the bootloader will.
really? Wow that's a load off my chest man, you don't understand
the things you own, end up owning you
Ok so I have the 1st gen kindle fire and it seems to have a charger port problem of some kind so amazon is going to replace it (a month out of warrenty)
but the problem is its rooted with the play store and several other apps no custom rom or anything . I need to know if i need to unroot before i send it back and if so how ...
It wont take a charge and will only turn on when plugged in and even then it only stays on for maybe a minute then turns off so how can I unroot or should i just say the heck with it and send it back rooted??? will I be charged ?
anybody have any past experience with a similar situation????
I don't know from experience but my suggestion would be don't send it back to Amazon rooted because the act of rooting usually voids any warrenty. It's possible they wouldn't replace it because it is rooted.
they made an exception to the warrenty being out by a couple months and they know its a hardware issue. can't factory reset because the battery wont take a charge. battery wont take a charge there fore i cant plug into a computer to unroot either
this sucks
My Usb died this week and now I'm sending it back. I never mentioned it was rooted but they're still sending me a replacement anyway.

I had the same USB port problem. They sent a replacement. A week later I returned the broken rooted unit. I never heard anything further from Amazon.
Good luck,

Nice. I'm sure part of their standard procedure is a clean wipe and flash of the factory image.

Also rooted and claimed warrenty
I had the same problem with mine and I just let the battery drop so it wouldn't turn on anymore. Now amazon would have to put a new port on in order to get it working.
I recently obtained a Samsung Rugby Smart, my father upgraded to a new phone and I received his old Rugby, the Rugby is less than a year old and still covered under warranty. This is the first Smartphone I've owned, though I have experience with the Google Nexus 7 so I'm not completely out of the loop on how the devices works.
About a week or a little more after I got the phone and got it set up and rooted the auto-rotate function stopped working, the phone is permanently stuck in landscape regardless of whether or not auto-rotate is toggled. I've read through several threads, removed battery while the phone is on, performed a factory reset three times now, etc, and while I have downloaded an app that allows me to change the rotation I do not consider that to be a fix to the problem. I've been in contact with the manufacturer and the next time I call them I will be approved to send the phone in to be repaired or replaced. I would, however, prefer not to do that and am hoping that someone here might have different suggestions.
That said, if i do need to send it in to be replaced, I obviously need to remove root before I do that. I've been looking at the Kingo Root Android app so far this morning, but it doesn't seem to support my Rugby, what are the suggestions for the safest method of removing root from the phone? I've been reading around the forums but would like a second opinion.

That is not something I am familiar with, how does it work?
My grandfather got me this tablet for my birthday earlier this year in April. I have already taken advantage of the warranty once, because the headphone jack broke and a cable for the screen got unplugged. When i got the tablet back, it said that they factory reset the tablet because they found 3rd party software on it. I didn't, it was running the stock software, the closest thing to a modification on there was a few apps that didn't work because they required root. Does this mean that, if I screwed up and bricked my tablet while trying to install CM, i could just send it in and they'll wipe it for me? I have a Best Buy warranty, and its a SM-T520/Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1

One of the first things the CM says is that it voids your warranty...
Hello,
I have an unmodified, unrooted 1. Gen Fire TV which today wanted to update to the newest Firmware. After Reboot the Device shows "Optimizing storage and apllications" forever (waited about 2 Hours). There were just a handfull of Apps installed.
Is there any way of unbricking the Device? I only found Infos about rooted Devices with Custom-Recovery, but mine is Stock.
Unfortunately the Device is out of Warranaty
Regards
Daniel

No, it's still bricked, but after hard Conversations with Amazon and a lot of patience, I've got it replaced by Amazon.

My issue is i bought this in the USA when it was first released. Amazon.co.uk are unwilling to help and amazon.com just go round in circles. Its like they have never seen this issue before and dont know what to do.

They told me for about 2 Weeks they are investigating, then they told me they have more Customers with the same Problem but cannot solve it and offered me a 15 EUR Discount on a new Fire TV, because mine is out of Warranty. As I refused their noble Offer and made clear, that this is their fault, not mine and demanded on a replacement, they finaly send me a new 1. Gen Box.
