[Q]Unable to add and save contacts to SIM card(v30b + root)

Hi!
I have rooted my LG G3 32GB D855 v30b software version with this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/root-twrp-marshmallow-d855-30b-t3286268 and flashed xceed kernel for G3.
Now i don't have option to save contacts on SIM, and i can't read them from SIM card.
Also, network works fine. Calls/sms/data all work.
What to do? I tried with stock kernel, it's same. I did factory reset and nothing.

D858HK has not many custom and I really want to try Fulmics even it does not support D858HK.
So I look around and finally in Chinese forum, found a method to flash Fulmics.
On Fulmics ROM 5.3, my D858HK works smoothly and the battery performance is similar to stock rom.
Everything is ok and I can use 4G. (I use one sim, two sim is not test.)
The only problem is the IMEI is lost (but I can still give and receive call) and the advance wifi in setting will force close.
I don't know whether it is work for your phone. I am not responsible for any harm to your phone , I am just sharing what I did to flash the rom.
What you need(in my case):
stock 6.0 rooted rom
TWRP(I use the unofficial twrp_3.0.2-0_d856_16-05-14)

Attention:You may lose you IMEI.
Follow these steps:
Make a whole backup of stock rooted rom in TWRP and you must backup the boot, modem, EFS and IMEI. (because if you lose the IMEI, you cannot go back to stock via KZD,TOT and LGUP.)
Put the Fulmics ROM 5.3 , dual sim v4 and modem5_6_3 into external sd card.https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B-NY-GIlMMxSV0tMSmtEYndIMmc
Ｗipe everything in TWRP. (Be careful：Don't wipe your backup)
Flash Fulmics, you just choose d855 in aroma installation.
When finish the installation, don't reboot, you should go back to TWRP and restore the boot and modem and then reboot.
After reboot and setting,you will find your phone cannot detect the sim card and wifi do not work.
You need to flash the dual sim v4. (please note that it is in Chinese)
If you lose your baseband and no signal, you can try to flash the modem5_6_3.
I found the dual sim v4 and modem5_6_3 in Chinese forum and they are made by @piaoxue99
I don't know these file is trustworthy or not but thanks @piaoxue99.

I have successfully installed it but i have noticed the following: Do you have any solution for these?
FM Radio is not functioning (even i installed the modem you provided)
I lost signal whenever I select the both status (my phone number, model no. IMEI, etc.) of sim card but it goes back normal here’s the error message “Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped”
I cannot activate guest user there is pop up error always

Flash fulmics 5.2 or 5.3 it's a small ota update fix wifi advance setting force close

Worked. Thanks so much. Text messages cant switch between sim cards though. No shortcut button or separate sim buttons. Have to do it manually from the status bar

lg g3 no service detected !

Hi everyone
i have an lg g3 d855 EU working just fine for 1 year and a half ,
And lately when i upgrade to Marshmallow and then i stated flashing a different custom roms and they all work fine!
But a week ago I got a strange problem! A sudden msg appear for few second and then phone keep rebooting:
“Mobile network will be unavailable until you restart with a valid sim card”
I’ve done a lot of research and tried them all but still the same probe:
-put a piece of paper on the top of the sim cad
-replace the sim card
- Factory reset
-flashed android 5 the original kdz file got from official lg firmware using my IMEI
-....
So I decided to get it to a technician!
-so he replaced the sim card reader with a new one! After that the phone went just fine for 4 days and then the problem come back, so I get it back to him, so he replaced the reader with second new one and he told me that the reader is not the problem and is 100% working so when I put the sim card and reboot it ask me for "pin code" but when I after put the pin code, the phone keep searching for signal for few second than it stay no service at all.
the technician sad that there is some file in lg g3 responsible for the service detection and stuff like that only be obtained from another working lg g3 and only solution is that he can get those fil from a working lg g3 and put it into my phone and he told me it will be working again for sure !
So please guys help me I’m stuck !! Is there anyone know something about these files or their names?? And if he can provide me them I’ll be so grateful. :good:

Haven't seen this problem before. A file issue? Perhaps do another complete factory reset then do a complete wipe flash of the global rom, using the LG flash tool. Get the rom here http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/lg-g3-android-marshmallow-discussions-t3216143
I use that rom so there shouldn't be any issues. Hope this helps

Have u tried flashing the modem ??? Thats the file u need for ur model u can flash it via twrp recovery... Also try flashing any custom modems of ur model since MM doesnt work

hi hope ever one fine on this forum , i am having little trouble with my phone ,
i was using 4.1.2 android with no issue with signal at all
then i updated using recovery tool and install android 6 , CM 13 Unofficial geehrc v1 and gapps-600 all was working fine on phone after a month android crashed when i was booting it only logo appears and continue to load and load
so i tryed every thing to reinstall old version it using recovery tool and it installed back successfully but it also crash after 2 , 3 min it was very strange behavior , then i went to shop for repair and they flashed with android 4.4.1 kitkat but now problem is no IMEI number and network service is disabled so i just want to get network service back either with reinstalling rom or by flash or any menthod that can recovery my service back so please help me to get network back , mobile is showing U+ sign in left corner i thing it is korian version software installed may be that is the reason,
also LG f180L version only support korian sim network according to my thinking , well any expert can give better solution on this thanks for understand my story above

You have to install flash stock 4.1.2 F180L KDZ again (yes! the korean one). Regarding IMEI/ No service, no one can help u if the EFS partition is lost (because that contains the phone info to be registered on the network).
The bootloop u had at CM13 has even easier fix than all of this KDZ mess. When I had my E975, The problem I had was no signal in CM12.1/CM12 so I had to resort to CM11. The F180's are so much falling into this crossflashing mess that its difficult to diagnose what can be the culprit.
Get the JB firmware flashed and check if u have imei.

LG G3 VS985 No Sim Card Detected.

Hey guys. I have a Verizon LG G3 running Resurrection Remix Nougat 7.1.1_r9 Nightly build. Before I was running this ROM I was running CM12 and then one day my phone said no sim card detected. I went back to stock and updated and I still had the same issue. I am now on Resurrection and my phone was fixed for a little bit. Then it stopped working. Then it worked. Now it has stopped again and only came on once yesterday randomly when my wifi wouldn't connect (I restarted my phone). I have tried just about everything I could. I got a new sim card from Verizon, I cleaned the sim tray and did not notice any damage to the tray (all pins are in contact). I'm at a brick wall right now and could use some help. Thanks!

I have the same issue with my LG g3 vs985 . With the same rom also . When I press on cellular networks in settings, it says that "com.android.phone has stopped " . I've cleared cache and data of com.android.phone app and it still the same problem. I need help . Thanks .

Exact same thing happened to me. I just got a new battery and re-flashed the 35b bootstack and modem and still, nothing.

It would be better to flash this custom rom ; it's working perfectly ; just wait a moment until it recognise the sim card ; this Cr droid rom is based on android 7.1 and it comes also with night light . Now , the problem is solved for me !! :good:
go to the " androidfilehost " website and search for this " crDroidAndroid-7.1-20161029-vs985 " then download the zip file
enjoy !!

I have a weird issue with my vs985 it takes too much time to boot up.. some time it boots and some time it does not boot.. i had to pull out battery fot 20 or more minutes .. i dony know either its software are hardware issue . may be some one experienced this issue .. is there anyone who know about this issue .. i need help...
