Hi!
I have rooted my LG G3 32GB D855 v30b software version with this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/root-twrp-marshmallow-d855-30b-t3286268 and flashed xceed kernel for G3.
Now i don't have option to save contacts on SIM, and i can't read them from SIM card.
Also, network works fine. Calls/sms/data all work.
What to do? I tried with stock kernel, it's same. I did factory reset and nothing.

Hi guys,
bought a LG G4 and used it with SIM card from Vodafone without any issues.
Now i've tried a SIM from another carrier and phone doesn't reconizes it, thous i've tried this SIM in other phones and it works ok.
What can be the problem? Cheers
Don't know. Had a similar problem. Phone would NOT recognize SIM card after reboot. Needed to reboot 1, 3 or even 4 times! I swear it stopped BEFORE 10C update. Nevertheless I do NOT have this issue anymore despite NOT changing a thing. Same SIM Card, same phone.
Try rebooting. Try updating to 10c

I can confirm @fpsq's solution. I just bought an LG G4S, inserted a sim card and the phone didn't detect it. I had to reboot 5 times until it detected it. Just keep rebooting guys
I just bought my brand new lg G4 unlocked but it doesn't read my SIM card . Pls help
I have an LG G4 with the SIM card in it reboots on its own with the SIM card out it does not reboot but I can use all of my apps and do a WiFi call through Facebook Messenger or Whatsapp. Anyone have that problem?
Hello I have the lg g3 D855, it was 5.0 20T rooted. I installed MM by this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-...855-30b-images-kdz-flashables-t3282012/page89 but every try I have two issues : no sim contacts and no data icon even if the phone connects to 3G/4G and sim recognized.
I tried N&N Rom 1.3 too .
I have these two issues with every rom based on the v30b firmware :/
after a lot of searching I decided to flash the kdz ==> sim contacts are here but no data icon !! and when I root with kingroot+autorec method ===> no sim contacts too
Now I downgrawded to V21A :/ using LGUP
I hope u will help because I want MM :/ I'm not the only one facing this two issues ..

D858HK has not many custom and I really want to try Fulmics even it does not support D858HK.
So I look around and finally in Chinese forum, found a method to flash Fulmics.
On Fulmics ROM 5.3, my D858HK works smoothly and the battery performance is similar to stock rom.
Everything is ok and I can use 4G. (I use one sim, two sim is not test.)
The only problem is the IMEI is lost (but I can still give and receive call) and the advance wifi in setting will force close.
I don't know whether it is work for your phone. I am not responsible for any harm to your phone , I am just sharing what I did to flash the rom.
What you need(in my case):
stock 6.0 rooted rom
TWRP(I use the unofficial twrp_3.0.2-0_d856_16-05-14)

Attention:You may lose you IMEI.
Follow these steps:
Make a whole backup of stock rooted rom in TWRP and you must backup the boot, modem, EFS and IMEI. (because if you lose the IMEI, you cannot go back to stock via KZD,TOT and LGUP.)
Put the Fulmics ROM 5.3 , dual sim v4 and modem5_6_3 into external sd card.https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B-NY-GIlMMxSV0tMSmtEYndIMmc
Ｗipe everything in TWRP. (Be careful：Don't wipe your backup)
Flash Fulmics, you just choose d855 in aroma installation.
When finish the installation, don't reboot, you should go back to TWRP and restore the boot and modem and then reboot.
After reboot and setting,you will find your phone cannot detect the sim card and wifi do not work.
You need to flash the dual sim v4. (please note that it is in Chinese)
If you lose your baseband and no signal, you can try to flash the modem5_6_3.
I found the dual sim v4 and modem5_6_3 in Chinese forum and they are made by @piaoxue99

FM Radio is not functioning (even i installed the modem you provided)
I lost signal whenever I select the both status (my phone number, model no. IMEI, etc.) of sim card but it goes back normal here’s the error message “Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped”
I cannot activate guest user there is pop up error always

Flash fulmics 5.2 or 5.3 it's a small ota update fix wifi advance setting force close
Worked. Thanks so much. Text messages cant switch between sim cards though. No shortcut button or separate sim buttons. Have to do it manually from the status bar

Hi everyone
i have an lg g3 d855 EU working just fine for 1 year and a half ,
And lately when i upgrade to Marshmallow and then i stated flashing a different custom roms and they all work fine!
But a week ago I got a strange problem! A sudden msg appear for few second and then phone keep rebooting:
“Mobile network will be unavailable until you restart with a valid sim card”
I’ve done a lot of research and tried them all but still the same probe:
-put a piece of paper on the top of the sim cad
-replace the sim card
- Factory reset
-flashed android 5 the original kdz file got from official lg firmware using my IMEI
-....
So I decided to get it to a technician!
-so he replaced the sim card reader with a new one! After that the phone went just fine for 4 days and then the problem come back, so I get it back to him, so he replaced the reader with second new one and he told me that the reader is not the problem and is 100% working so when I put the sim card and reboot it ask me for "pin code" but when I after put the pin code, the phone keep searching for signal for few second than it stay no service at all.
the technician sad that there is some file in lg g3 responsible for the service detection and stuff like that only be obtained from another working lg g3 and only solution is that he can get those fil from a working lg g3 and put it into my phone and he told me it will be working again for sure !
So please guys help me I’m stuck !! Is there anyone know something about these files or their names?? And if he can provide me them I’ll be so grateful. :good:
Haven't seen this problem before. A file issue? Perhaps do another complete factory reset then do a complete wipe flash of the global rom, using the LG flash tool. Get the rom here http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/lg-g3-android-marshmallow-discussions-t3216143
I use that rom so there shouldn't be any issues. Hope this helps

Have u tried flashing the modem ??? Thats the file u need for ur model u can flash it via twrp recovery... Also try flashing any custom modems of ur model since MM doesnt work

Just flash a custom rom. It is just a common bug.

Assuming you upgraded to the factory 6.0 image, i would back your data up to either an sd card to a computer. Then do setting -> Backup & reset -> Factory reset. Do be warned that resetting your phone will wipe your data, hence backing it up first. If that doesnt work, look into restoring your phone via KDZ.
