Hello.
I recently tried 3 ROMs, with Marshmallow. All of them have a very slow tethering, via USB at least. Up to 10 times slower than usual; and if I do a speedtest in my smartphone, it's the adecuate speed. So, the problem is just in tethering; with Lollipop that didn't happen. The second problem is the Radio FM. I found a ROM with that app, but finally I changed the ROM to continue trying to get one with a good tethering (vital feature!).
After trying several Marshmallow ROMs, I tried to come back to android 5.0 with the SkyDragon's ROM V.9, but I got stock with some file permissions in the Aroma installer. Then, I tried to install the ROM with Radio FM, but when I booted it, it got stuck in "Preparing Contacts Storage", and then in the language menĂº. Then, I installed the stock Google Play Edition ROM with Marshmallow, found in the forum of Android Development.
My mobile is HTC One M8, normal version; the one with Sense.
I'd like to have a running ROM with a Radio FM (Spirit FM doesn't function) and, if possible, with a good tethering. Thanks

Hi
Had issues with 1.21.405 switching between wifi and 3G - had to reboot to get internet back so decided to root and try froyo, however I've tried a few and I just want a rom that allows internet access without any issues, the roms here are great but are the issues I'm having issues with froyo in general or just the custom ones modified from stock ? I've not tried the stock rom as I need to unroot and might not be able to root in the future, always hard reset / wipe between flashing.
I've tried these...

[ROM] Rooted Official HTC Android 2.2 (FroYo) ROM [Market issue fixed]
(I'm getting a "SIM card changed" Everytime I reboot)
[ROM] Official 2.2, with: busybox, old A2SD+, OpenVPN (TUN), EXT4 support, 802.11N
(loose the complete signal after a while, only a restart solves this issue)
Hopefully people here will have tried more roms than me and can advise me.
UPDATE........
I tried Modaco rom, same issues, also tried 32.42.00.32U_5.09.00.08, 32.42.00.32U_5.09.00.04 and 32.42.00.32U_5.09.00.20 radio's. It seems to work for a couple of hours after a restart, sim not slack, tried in another phone sim ok. Anyone else having these issues ? I'm seriously considering giving up....

Use this ROM. If u want the stabelst/less buggy ROM outthere take Modaco ;-)
I flashed Android Revolution HD to my HTC One M8 over the weekend (I was coming from Viperone). At first I was stuck in a bootloop so I tried to restore back to Viperone, but I had the same problem. I restored to rooted (stock) and was finally able to download and flash Android Revolution; however, no I can't get my wifi to turn on. I've tried wifi fixer and it hasn't helped.
I really like the look/feel of the ROM but I can't not have wifi.
Android version 4.3.3
Thanks!
For Sense 2.22 based ROMs (such as the current ARHD) its recommended to flash the updated firmware package. Broken WiFi is a known issue if you skip this step.

If you aren't comfortable with this, you can flash one of the older 1.5X based ROMs. Or GPE may be okay, as well.
I had exactly the same problem on many 4.4.3 roms. Only using stock kernel helped, but the boot time of a device was about 4min instead of matter of seconds.
Everything works great on skydragon rom (with their kernel).
Sent from HTC One m8, or maybe not anymore
Firmware
I tried updating the firmware over the weekend, after following the link provided by redpoint73 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...postcount=9592) I installed the new firmware 2.22.401.4, it went smoothly up to the point where i rebooted and my cell radio wouldn't connect.
I had to install the original firmware and then reinstall TWRP. I'm rooted with Android 4.4.2. What firmware do I use when updating so that my verizon radio isn't impacted.
Thanks!
So I've did a factory reset and start flashing the "Stock Google Play Edition Rom LXR22C.H5" rom again.
Since I'm Rooted, this is the one I've flash: RUU-HTC_One_M8_GPE_5.0.1-3.11.1700.5_rooted
I've followed the instruction on #2031. Everything else work.... again only plugging in the headset into the jack, does switch music from speakers to headset.
As mentioned before I've upgrade my Stock AT&T HTC One (M8) to GPE 4.4.2 and automatically received all the updates OTA to get to 4.4.4 (Audio was working thru headset and/or speakers with no problems)
The only problem with 4.4.4 is that you don't have access to SD storage. (though I found a patch to update in the system, but haven't tried it)
I like the speed, simplicity of 5.0.1. That is why I keep on trying.
Also I tried changing the Kernel - using skydragon kernel (still same problem with audio). But when I used the kernel for 4.4.4 of GPE, the booting hung at HTC logo before it showed the dead android.
So I'm lost for option other than using an app to manual switch to headset from speaker....(bummer)
Anyway new ideas to proceed are appreciated.
Hello @ all !
Since the update to Android 6.0 there are no more sounds.
Everything in connection with sound don't work. When i change volume level, there is no "beep" ton.
Also i can't call or can be called. When i try to call it freeze, only power menu to restart works. When somebody trys to call me, it's like my phone is off, but it's on.
I am registerd to the network, so i can send and reach sms / use the internet.
I tried the ROM from Leedroid , ViperRom , RevolutionHD and MaximusHD. ( FULL WIPE etc. i tried every option.... )
When use the CandySix Rom, i have sound and i can call...
Would be great if anybody could help me.
THX A LOT!
I think I may have the same issue. I purchased a used M9 of AT&T variant. I know it had sound as the first time I booted it I heard the ATT boot sound. I never used the phone though and I immediately entered fastboot and changed it to a developer edition (the phone was already s-off and unlocked) I then installed LeeDroid via TWRP. The rom works fine but I have no sound at all from internal speakers or headphones. I also tried ViperOneM9 with the same result. I have not yet tried CandySix, but I will.
The only thing that is different fro me is that I don't have a sim yet for my carrier so the phone isn't yet registered. It is on wifi though. No sounds work at all. Touch sounds, volume rocker sounds, notifications, music also doesn't play from mp3's I have on my sd card (they actually don't seem to even start as the time counter doesn't ever start even after hitting pause and play)
Any Ideas at all?

Take a look over in the LeeDroid thread. You need to flash the latest firmware before installing the HTC MM based ROMs.
it's awlays common sense to read the OP. especially when there is a major upgrade like from lollipop to marshmallow where the whole firmware is changed/modified . be always sure to run latest firmware when trying to use latest roms. aosp/cm are a different story, for them it doesn't matter if lollipop firmware or MM is used
My HTC m8 is s-on, have been using many custom roms, recently was on S.ROM
NOW
Tried SL, S 10.2 and JW 7.5 VERSIONS of S.ROM , and also wolla rom sense 7,but
my Samsung gear S3 is connecting via Bluetooth but the Samsung gear app force closes or says download failed.
Stock unrooted twrp backup of my mm rom works perfect, but I want to keep custom rom and root, any help?
