I flashed Android Revolution HD to my HTC One M8 over the weekend (I was coming from Viperone). At first I was stuck in a bootloop so I tried to restore back to Viperone, but I had the same problem. I restored to rooted (stock) and was finally able to download and flash Android Revolution; however, no I can't get my wifi to turn on. I've tried wifi fixer and it hasn't helped.
I really like the look/feel of the ROM but I can't not have wifi.
Android version 4.3.3
Thanks!
For Sense 2.22 based ROMs (such as the current ARHD) its recommended to flash the updated firmware package. Broken WiFi is a known issue if you skip this step.

If you aren't comfortable with this, you can flash one of the older 1.5X based ROMs. Or GPE may be okay, as well.
I had exactly the same problem on many 4.4.3 roms. Only using stock kernel helped, but the boot time of a device was about 4min instead of matter of seconds.
Everything works great on skydragon rom (with their kernel).
Sent from HTC One m8, or maybe not anymore
Firmware
I tried updating the firmware over the weekend, after following the link provided by redpoint73 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...postcount=9592) I installed the new firmware 2.22.401.4, it went smoothly up to the point where i rebooted and my cell radio wouldn't connect.
I had to install the original firmware and then reinstall TWRP. I'm rooted with Android 4.4.2. What firmware do I use when updating so that my verizon radio isn't impacted.
Thanks!

to those who have recently upgraded their one-x OTA to 1.28, if you have your stock rom rooted (not custom rom), can I check if you have problem with your GPS?"
I tried to use Google map, it causes my one-x to reboot. I thought it's Google map problem, but realize that with my runkeeper it's the same, the moment it got GPS fix, and try to run, it freezes the system and causes it to reboot.
I did a clean RUU flash then update 1.28 OTA and it looks ok. Problem happened when I root the ROM (using the insecure boot image)
nobody has the problem?
no issues with gps here on my stock rom.

why don't you put on the original 1.28 recovery ? You'll still be rooted.
No problems here to on rooted 1.28.Try to reflash.
I flashed stock recovery and RUU and upgrade with the same problem >.<
Let me try again ...
No problems here too on stock ROM (1.28.980.10 Optus handset). I actually used the GPS today and it worked like a treat.

damn ... it didn't work. the moment the apps start to use the GPS (after acquiring a fix), e.g. during navigation or runkeeper starts logging my distance, the device will hang and reboot.
no problem if I do a cwm recovery back to the rooted 1.26
going to do ruu 1.28.707 flash directly to see if it helps.
just to be sure, all of you who reported to haven o problem, are you using rooted stock 1.28.707.10 and not custom rom?
Didn't have any problems on the 1.28. Altough I must say when I upgraded to 1.29 the GPS works better. Faster fix and more accurate location. Maybe a try?
I can't get gps to work on any custom roms I install on my HTC DESIRE HD. The symbol comes on at the top when I enable and gps status ap shows that it is on, but it will just wont lock onto any satelites no matter how long i leave it on. Gps only seems to works on stock rom. I have tried loads of different gps.configs from this forum, even tried the stock rom config, Cleared AGPS updated AGPS without any luck.
Phone is rooted with bootloader unlocked.
current rom - CyanogenMod 11 by Mustaavalkosta
hboot 2. 00.0029
radio - 26.14.04.28.m
flashing with clockworkmod 5.8.0
S-on
stock rom DHD WWE 3.12.405.1 running android 2.35
I don't want to revert back to the stock rom, but I need my gps. Also the CyanogenMod seems to work best on my handset.
My first post so go easy on me
Any help much appreciated

Hi I pretty much know nothing about custom roms etc but I was forced to go for a custom ROM due to a friend wiping my phone but when I flashed Viper 3.2.1 everything was fine except the wifi button was greyed out, I also tried android revolution and the same problem occured. However it was fine when i tried candy5 but once i flashed google play the wifi stopped working again.
Does anyone know what the problem is and how i should fix it? thanks.
Hope you are on latest 4.4.4 firmware , link for the same should be in OP/FAQ of Viper.

If you are only unlocked and not s-off you will need to manually flash the corresponding boot.img for each rom each time you flash a new rom. If you can get s-off you won't need to do this anymore.
Firmware needs to be updated. Confirmed on OP's other thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/htc-one-m8-bricked-t2989202/page2
Also its not necessary to manually extract and flash boot.img on the M8, even when s-on. Folks giving this advice may be carrying over knowledge from an older HTC device.
Hi i just found out now that after upgrading from 4.1.2 JB to 4.3 JB that there are some error happening with my phone. At first i was always curious on why my wifi signal is always low although the router is just outside of my room. I tried to google some possible solution and came up with someone saying that factory reset and wiping data cache had fix their low wifi connection problems, so i tried doing it too but after booting up with recovery i noticed that the usually standing android logo had laid down with an Triangle with a "!" on him ( i know that this must be some kind of error from that point) here's a screenshot

I still tried to continue wiping and it somehow works but it says "error" after doing so, then i tried to select reboot and it also works but still says "error"

Now i dont know on which problem should i fix first
1ST QUESTION: Can i just flash the stock rom again (4.3 stock rom) or other updated stock roms like 4.4 stock rom?
2ND QUESTION: Is there another know problem with wifi dropping/disconnection/low signal for 4.4 kitkat stock rom?
Here's some additional info
Model: galaxy s3 - i747m ( bell )
original rom: 4.1.2 jellybean
upgraded to: 4.3 jellybean
root: rooted using chainfire autoroot after updating to 4.3 JB

A) what bootloader/modem version do you have ?
B) i dont think there is a 4.4 stock ROM.
C) did you make a nandroid backup (as you should always do for a safety net)(not that i ALWAYS do , but should.lol).
1) you should be fine flashing 4.3.
2) wifi issues MAY be related to running 4.4 on older firmware.

You should be find flashing the stock 4.3 sgh-i747m. Just download the carrier ROM from sammobile.com.
If you want to stay on stock 4.3 and you want root, I suggest flashing the latest Philz Touch d2lte recovery via Odin and then flashing supersu from recovery.
If you want to be running the latest KK for the i747m, you can flash back to stock 4.3 and run OTA updates until you are running the latest ROM.
ROMs designed for the d2lte should run on the i747 and i747m. Bootloaders and modems cannot be cross-flashed.

I'm currently running my OP3 on Resurrection Remix 5.7.4 (MM 6.01), the phone has the latest version of TWRP and I've flashed other ROMs in the past without any issue
RR has proven to be quite unstable for me, the system UI keeps crashing, which renders the phone unusable until after a reboot so I wanted to flash Freedom OS as that worked quite well for me previously. When I tried to flash the ROM in TWRP the ROM seemed to flash successfully but when I rebooted, only the boot logo showed and then the screen went black and the phone refused to respond at all for about two hours, after that exactly the same thing happened. I managed to boot into recovery and tried flashing a different ROM but the result was the same every time, the only way to get the phone to work normally was to flash RR again/restore from a Nandroid backup, either way, the result is the same, I'm stuck on an unstable ROM and I don't know why, the last time I flashed these ROMs they worked fine, I followed all of the instructions for flashing said ROMs to the letter, I have the latest version of TWRP, etc, does anyone know what the problem could be?
Have you flashed the latest firmware? If not, I think this is why due to you being on a very old version (6.0.1) and as you are not flashing official OxygenOS you are not getting the newest firmware.
Download and flash the latest firmware here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/how-to/radio-modem-collection-flashable-zips-t3468628
Pick the right one for the ROM you are flashing (For Freedom OS installing firmware Open Beta 14 - Firmware + Modem under 7.1.1 should be good.)
Note: After you have flashed the firmware the next time you reboot the phone it will appear to not turn on for a few seconds, this is normal while it updates, don't worry
Let me know if you have any questions
