[Q] Help! WiFi disconnects/reconnects with KitKat ROMS.

Hi there!
My WiFi seems to disconnect and then reconnect every 5 to 10 minutes or so, after I have installed different KitKat ROMS. It happens with different ROMS.
My girlfriend also has a Note 2, and I also updated her phone with a KitKat ROM (Android Revolution HD), but her's doesn't disconnect at all.
You guys know what's happening here? I did flash latest MJ5 bootloader, but it says failed. Then I also flashed the WiFi Fix. In Download mode, Phone says, KNOX VOID: 1.
Thanks in advance.
Anyone?
It happens a lot now..sometimes. It seems a 4.4.2 rom issue in combination with my router.
Laptop doesn't disconnect, but phone of my girlfriend does as well. On her phone I also installed a 4.4.2 rom. Different one though.

Another user from Phoenix ROM is reporting the same. WiFi keeps dropping on his phone. Which ROM did you flash on your gf's phone ? And which ROM are you using ? The guy I'm talking about first flashed a stock KK ROM and then Phoenix ROM so he's on the newest boot loader already

Hi, thanks for replying! My girlfriend (still) uses the Android Revolution 30, I use the SupremeKat. I plan to install SupremeKat on hers as well, after mine is configured and all.
Before that we both had Android Revolution version 19, which is still Android 4.1.2 I think. No WiFi problems at that time....
Any idea who it was that reported the same issues?

It was @Puffin617 he flashed the official stock ROM first and then flashed the custom 4.4 rom called Phoenix ROM and he reported that the WiFi keeps dropping. I've asked one of the users on xda who has a bit more knowledge about such things that what could be causing this cause many users are complaining about battery drain and frequent WiFi drop not sure why is it only affecting a few phones when people have flashed the same stock ROM and your case a custom ROM. If I find anything useful to share I'll get back at you. Perhaps switch custom ROM? Give Dr ketan's version 7 a shot and see if that removes the WiFi issue. Good luck

I have same problem. Stock rom - not root. It drops and reconnect every 2 or 3 minutes.

[Q] WIFI Issue

I flashed Android Revolution HD to my HTC One M8 over the weekend (I was coming from Viperone). At first I was stuck in a bootloop so I tried to restore back to Viperone, but I had the same problem. I restored to rooted (stock) and was finally able to download and flash Android Revolution; however, no I can't get my wifi to turn on. I've tried wifi fixer and it hasn't helped.
I really like the look/feel of the ROM but I can't not have wifi.
Android version 4.3.3
Thanks!
For Sense 2.22 based ROMs (such as the current ARHD) its recommended to flash the updated firmware package. Broken WiFi is a known issue if you skip this step.
More info here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54408500&postcount=9592
If you aren't comfortable with this, you can flash one of the older 1.5X based ROMs. Or GPE may be okay, as well.
I had exactly the same problem on many 4.4.3 roms. Only using stock kernel helped, but the boot time of a device was about 4min instead of matter of seconds.
Everything works great on skydragon rom (with their kernel).

Firmware
I tried updating the firmware over the weekend, after following the link provided by redpoint73 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...postcount=9592) I installed the new firmware 2.22.401.4, it went smoothly up to the point where i rebooted and my cell radio wouldn't connect.
I had to install the original firmware and then reinstall TWRP. I'm rooted with Android 4.4.2. What firmware do I use when updating so that my verizon radio isn't impacted.
Thanks!

[Q] Can't get Audio thru headset after HTC One M8 conversion to Lollipop 5.0.1

So I've did a factory reset and start flashing the "Stock Google Play Edition Rom LXR22C.H5" rom again.
Since I'm Rooted, this is the one I've flash: RUU-HTC_One_M8_GPE_5.0.1-3.11.1700.5_rooted
I've followed the instruction on #2031. Everything else work.... again only plugging in the headset into the jack, does switch music from speakers to headset.
As mentioned before I've upgrade my Stock AT&T HTC One (M8) to GPE 4.4.2 and automatically received all the updates OTA to get to 4.4.4 (Audio was working thru headset and/or speakers with no problems)
The only problem with 4.4.4 is that you don't have access to SD storage. (though I found a patch to update in the system, but haven't tried it)
I like the speed, simplicity of 5.0.1. That is why I keep on trying.
Also I tried changing the Kernel - using skydragon kernel (still same problem with audio). But when I used the kernel for 4.4.4 of GPE, the booting hung at HTC logo before it showed the dead android.
So I'm lost for option other than using an app to manual switch to headset from speaker....(bummer)
Anyway new ideas to proceed are appreciated.

Problems on Marshmallow - HTC One M8 (Radio FM, Tethering)

Hello.
I recently tried 3 ROMs, with Marshmallow. All of them have a very slow tethering, via USB at least. Up to 10 times slower than usual; and if I do a speedtest in my smartphone, it's the adecuate speed. So, the problem is just in tethering; with Lollipop that didn't happen. The second problem is the Radio FM. I found a ROM with that app, but finally I changed the ROM to continue trying to get one with a good tethering (vital feature!).
After trying several Marshmallow ROMs, I tried to come back to android 5.0 with the SkyDragon's ROM V.9, but I got stock with some file permissions in the Aroma installer. Then, I tried to install the ROM with Radio FM, but when I booted it, it got stuck in "Preparing Contacts Storage", and then in the language menĂº. Then, I installed the stock Google Play Edition ROM with Marshmallow, found in the forum of Android Development.
My mobile is HTC One M8, normal version; the one with Sense.
I'd like to have a running ROM with a Radio FM (Spirit FM doesn't function) and, if possible, with a good tethering. Thanks

[Help] Problems flashing any android 10+ roms on my redmi 7 device

Hello XDA people. I'm an enthusiast of flashing and testing android ROMs, but I am kinda rookie using this device.
The problem in question is that I cannot successfully flash any Android 10 and later ROMs on my device, I always face several problems after flashing and booting any ROM, such as the wifi's not working (got the exclamation mark on the icon), audio problems, mobile data increiblely slow, bluetooth and GPS issues, etc etc. I tried to flash official and supported ROMs like lineageos, evolutionx, pyxisos, havoc as well as unofficial roms, but I always get the same problems (the wifi issue is the problem that I want to fix the most)
I tried flashing the original MIUI firmware through recovery and bootloader method, I dirty/clean flashed the roms after and nothing, I also used factory reset, used OrangeFox, TWRP (official and unofficial versions) and I still have the same result. I tried every method I know and it seems I won't have the problem fixed. I don't know if it's that the firmware is not properly flashed, or if I deleted a partition. What can I do?
The device only works using the MIUI original firmare but I don't like it because of the bloatware and the waste of resources. I currently use MMX rom (a modified MIUI rom) in my device right now. It works well but It's currently outdated. I just want to use an AOSP based ROM and having my device updated. Please HELP ME!
