Google Project Fi on ZF2? - ZenFone 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has anyone (who is lucky enough to have an invite) tried Project Fi SIM with the Zenfone2? I've read that it works with the Note 5 despite the fact that it only supports Nexus devices currently.
Thanks!

Project Fi with unlocked SM-G925T

Does anyone have experience with using Project Fi sim with an unlocked SM-G925T? Does both call and data work fine? And have you used it on roaming (outside US) without any issues? TIA!
I thought you could only use nexus phones on fi?
You just need a Nexus device to activate the sim. Once the sim is active you can use it with any phone. For any one else looking for an answer to the OP, I was successfully able to use it with an unlocked T-Mobile galaxy S6 Edge. Both data and calls worked fine overseas on roaming.

Project Fi on T217s

Is it possible to use a sprint t217s with Google project Fi?
I'll take that as a no.

E-sim plus nano sim

Has anyone tried running a nano sim with a phone setup on project fi with an esim? I'm wondering if it works.

Yes, I have a T Mobile SIM and Project Fi esim and it's pretty convenient. You can only have one carrier active at a time, but just go to Mobile networks in settings then carrier and you can switch between the SIM and esim. I have the Fi calls and texts forwarded to the T Mobile number, but you can switch between them without even restarting the phone.
^great to know!
Google is pressuring the outdated Carriers t get onboard...
Thanks! I went ahead and tried it. Same results as you. Would be nice to have dual sim support but at least I can swap services when the signal is bad.

That's a great idea, I'm getting an e-sim for fi.

Pixel 4XL vs OnePlus 7T on Google Fi

When it comes to Lineage OS which of these 2 phones should I get? What features do I lose on one vs the other?
Is there any way to get Network switching working on the OnePlus using Lineage OS? Or is it just impossible since its not explicitly designed for Fi?

Google Fi with SM-G9810 & G9860

Been using both 9810 and 9860 on Google For since June with no issues.
Sometime last week, there was an update to the Google Fi app that broke the SIM detection on both phones.
When I contacted Fi support, the CSR gave me a blanket answer that those phones are not supported and tried to end the conversation.
I tried explaining that everything has been working fine for the last 2 months and it's a recent change that's causing the issue. The CSR didn't want to hear that and kept saying that the S20 and S20 plus are not supported.
I ended the conversation. Uninstalled the Google Fi app and installed an older version from July. Both phones are working again with no issues.
Anyone else facing this problem?
I'm using the sm-g986u1 on Google fi and have had no issues at all. The unlocked phone is listed as compatible with Google fi on their website. The network switching and vpn are listed as not compatible of course.

Now that Google fi sells the s20 as "supported by fi", is it possible to enable carrier switching on the non US snapdragon versions?
I've been using the note8 on fi for a while. I've experienced much slower speeds compared to the supported by fi phone I have. I'd like the s20 or note20, but need an unlocked bootloader.
Will I have issues with esim or physical on Google FI on the note or s20 ultra line non USA models ?
Will Fi finally support esim on Samsung S20 and Note 20 series?
