Hi guys i recently received my Galaxy S6 from sprint that my brother bought on may this year and loved it, but then fell in love with the Note 5 and saved this one on the box. Like i said the phone is exactly the same way it was when he bought it, so damn new! so i was very happy when the phone arrived and i quickly called my brother so that he could have it connected to the sprint network. He did and the phone worked awesome, we even changed the old number he had on that line he connected to my phone and got to call a friend of mine so everything worked, but! The next day i wake up to make a call and as i'm waiting for the 00:00 minutes to start rolling it took about 5 to 9 seconds to appear on screen and when it does, i CANT HEAR THE RING OR THE PERSON WHEN I MAKE A CALL! and so cant the person i'm calling, they get the call, but when they answer it they cant hear me. I tried everything sprint has told me from resetting the phone in many ways and nothing seems to work. Also everything on the phone works, trust me i've tried every test, i can hear on the lower speaker and on the top one also (my brother left a voice message and i could hear it loud and clear) so i know its not the speakers or anything hardware. I've tried everywhere and no one seems to have the answer to my problem can anyone pleaseeeeee help me , this phone is new and nothing is broken in it. I made a test to the microphone and i could record and talk to anyone on messenger, whatsapp, etc... so i know the mic works. Everything works, the only problem is that when YOU WANT TO MAKE A PHONE CALL OR RECEIVE ONE, YOU CANT LISTEN ANYTHING ON THE TOP SPEAKER, neither can the other person hear you. Please anyone :/
Thanks in advance!
I know this is way out there, but make sure you turn Bluetooth off. It may be connecting to a Bluetooth device and expecting you to use that.

Factory reset isn't going to do it. You need to Odin the latest tar file to clean up whatever you have done to your phone. That will reset you to stock where Factory reset only deletes user data.
Here is the tar file:
File name: G920PVPU3BOJ7_G920PSPT3BOJ7_SPR.zip
Link: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24269982087002159

Pm if you need a replacement screen
Hello @cruise350 and thank you for the post. I have some questions before I start on your advice, what exactly do you mean by "odin" the latest tar file? Also, what do you mean by reset me to stock? Stock as in when I bought the phone for the first time or another version of android?

Here is a video of how to reset your phone using Odin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tv0BnfpNxEs
The TAR file linked above will reset your phone to the latest Samsung Sprint version, as if you had just bought it from a store. (Including all the latest security patches.)
It is not a customized ROM, it will be "stock." You will not have root, which is something added afterwards. You can find a thread here for how to add that, if you need it.
Same Issue With BRAND NEW PHONE
I am running into the same issue with my fiancee's mom. She bought an S6 from Best Buy last Wednesday and had this problem the next day. We took the phone back to Best Buy, only to have the same problem all over again.
Now that she is on her second phone, she took it into a Sprint store and called Sprint. The Sprint technical people who took her call gave her a code to punch in the dialer, but it has not helped.

Dude, why don't you try it yourself if you taking the phone back. it's not like your going to lose anything if it doesn't work and it only take about 10 minutes to flash.
BTW: I just got my phone 3 weeks ago and flashed it with 6.1 a few days ago. My lifetime calls show 31 minutes but I have used over 400 when I check my balance.
Why does this phone have to be soft reset so often...
Why does it eventually lag and hang up all the time randomly? I tried so many different roms and they just all result to the same problems after a few weeks use.
Is there no way to make this phone reliable???
I am ranting because I missed my job opportunity with a really big company because my phone froze when they called me and didn't receive my voicemails till days later for what ever reason....
This was the one and only time I really didn't want my phone to hang up, and it had to happen when the company CEO decided to call me back, but since my phone was stupid I wasn't able to respond to the offer in time (2 days later)...
Please... I'm tired of these Windows Mobile Problems...
Dang, that was a bad break. srry that happened to You. dayuum..i know u was pissed. so did it freeze up on u with the stock rom or some custom one u flashed to it? i never had my stock rom freeze up on me. Only when i was constantly trying new apps and downloads or drivers, it tried to act funny. Id reapply for that position and if u get to the point of call back again, take it and try to explain what happened the first time. All isnt lost, just keep your head up and keep trying.

I have been using WM for almost 4 years and everything SlimJ87D mentions makes total sense to me
i've been using WM since 2003 (7years exactly this august) and i cant remember the last time my device has hung up on me where calls/msgs didn't come in.
Also i'm what you'd call a power user, multiple apps open at the same time and doing 3 things at once.
The majority of lock-ups are from low ram. So just make sure you ram is always good, doing a system cache/temp file clean every now and then (i use dinarsoft's memmaid) and you should be good.
Also sometimes a buggy software will cause the device to freeze, up to you to figure out which one it is if you suspect one.
Best of luck and sucks about that job.
About 2 years ago my exchange server went down without me knowing and wasn't getting emails, when they finally did come through the next morning, i had received an important email concerning a contract deal, called the person back and they had gone with a competitor because i didn't reply soon enough. Lost some money on that and still pissed about it but technology does that to us every now and then.

A lot depends on the phone model and how well you tweak it. I've not had any trouble once the phone was operating correctly. This is one thing that is both a drawback and an advantage of WM - it is flexible, and rewards anyone who takes the time to get to know the OS and the particular phone model.
If you really want "out of the box" experience with any tweaking, I'd go for a different OS.

Wait...your phone froze while you were talking to the CEO of this company, and you couldn't call him back for TWO DAYS???
Ever hear of using another phone? Or a land line?
And I'm not sure what your problem with voice messages was. If you left them messages and they did not receive them, it's their voicemail systems fault, not WinMo's.
If WinMo did not notify you of voice messages that you had waiting, then simply call your voicemail number regardless of whether your phone says you have any or not. You could even call it from a different phone. Not doing so, especially when you are expecting important calls, is simply negligent. Every phone I have ever owned, long before I started to use WinMo, has failed to notify me of voice messages on numerous occasions.
This is as basic as keeping a backup copy of whatever important paper or project you are working on. It should be done with ALL phones, even the infallible iPhone.
I bet I could make an iPhone fail

Totally agree with moogoo here. The voicemail issue isn't really a hardware issue as much as it is YOU not checking your voicemail or them having issues with there voicemail. Not calling the CEO back right away AFTER you reset your phone... I just couldnt imagine the phone freezing on me and not reseting it and calling the person back right away.
You havn't said whether you are running a stock rom or a custom rom on your phone. If it's stock and you are having these issues I would probably go to where you bought the phone and just have them give you a new one as I've never heard of people having that many issues with their phone. If its a custom rom, the only time I hear of people having the issues you are having is because after flashing their phone they didnt do a hard reset after the initial boot up to make sure everything installs properly. 9 times out of 10 if your phone freezes as much as it does you probably just need to do a hard reset.
Now, the comment about it locking up and what not... if it does it every few days, well guess what. It's a freaking computer! I don't know about you but I dont leave my PC or laptop running for days at a time and expect it to be running as fast as it should. I usually turn those off every night or when I'm not using them. Now we cant just go ahead and turn our phones off at night that doesnt make sense BUT you can at least do a soft reset every now and again and it should speed things up. I know myself I do this at least every 2 days. Again... if it's being as glitchy as it is odds are you just need a hard reset. Try running one of NRG's roms as they seem to be the best out there, at least from the ones I've tried.
So moral of your story.... you need to hard reset your phone once if not twice after you install a new rom..... you need to check your voicemail even when it doesnt show you have missed calls.... you need to call people back immediatly after your phone crashes... dont just put the phone down and hope that it starts working again. They have the reset button on their for a reason!

Hey guys, sorry for the late response.
Well this is what happen. The CEO called me to talk to me about the job but at this very time my phone was frozen and hiccuping without my knowledge. When it does this it just rejects all my calls, but for some reason I never got the missed call or anything. It didn't even show up on screen. My phone randomly hiccups and when it does this everything is ignored, I won't get a missed call, it's like my phone is off. I didn't even get a voice mail message. When I checked my voicemail because one of my friends left me one after I ignored his call it finally gave me a message and it said I had 2 missed voicemails. I thought it was strange that he left 2 voice mails even though I only had his only miss call.. and then I realized he didn't leave 2 voice mails. I heard the voice of the CEO, he said for me to try and call him back. I checked the receipt and it was 2 days late! I called back right away.
I left him a voice mail back, but he left on a business trip and had to select someone else... which happen to be my classmate
And yes, it hiccups all the time. A large part of it is due to the amount of text I receive but not all the time. Under my GFs name we have about 1000s of text saved up and it causes the phone to lag sometimes.
Other lags and hiccups happen randomly when I'm trying to do simple things.
I know you guys are probably angry because I'm talking smack about our phones but please, I really wasn't expecting these kinds of problems with my phones. I'm not some kind of iPhone user disguised to troll.
Some of you guys don't' get the problem, yes you guys are lucky. Maybe have different models. But some of us here do.
Don't be quick to judge me so harshly. I'm only a guy here trying to set a realistic complaint because Windows Mobile should release updates more often, we deserve it, and you guys know we deserve it. By not complaining and pretending these problems don't exist gives Windows a right to not want to optimize their OS.
Thanks Lennzy for PMing me possible solutions to fixing my phone and not trying to give me some kind of life advice where you don't even know what happen.
The way the market is going right now, I just don't want to go through this again... it's such a bad experience... maybe it's fate, maybe I wasn't meant for the job and some other better company will call me. But for the time being I need to fix this phone or get a basic phone to just receive and give calls.
You got two new pm's
It's still prudent to check your voicemail at least once a day regardless of phone notifications. One good failsafe, if you can manage it, is to set things up so you automatically receive emails informing you of new voicemail (this is setup for me through Exchange at work, but I'm sure there are other ways).
As previously mentioned, the problems you are having are far from normal. I'm running a cooked ROM with all kinds of incredible hacks and tweaks, so much so that I'd expect the thing to break more often, but it is just as stable and usable as ever.
Not trying to give you life lessons, just pointing out one that you surely already learned.
Slim, are you in the US? If so, at least a temporary solution might be to use Google voice...it'll take over your voicemail functions, and can notify you via e-mail whenever you get a VM, and it'll even send you a transcript and a downloadable audio file of the message

Try Linux - my home server's been up for 3 months without issue and my misses laptop's often on for weeks
Honestly ever since XP I've had no problem leaving my Windows box running for long periods of time.
Most often the only reason it needs to be reset is because of some update.
Linux is not infallible in this matter. While the core OS is extremely stable, very often the window manager, especially Gnome and KDE can be very buggy and prone to crashing.
Of course it is easy enough to drop out of Xwindows and restart it without restarting the entire OS.
Hi there.
My girlfriend has a Galaxy W which is acting a little strange.
The calls are, not always, choppy. I thought it could be her carrier, but I used my sim, from another carrier, and it acts the same.
It's not always, but almost every time.
Before sending it the an authorized repair shop I'd like to try some things.
I don't have the phone here right now but I'll get it in some hours. What do you guys suggest?
Try to reset the phone (she already upgraded to the latest firmware)?
Try to change radio?
I believe she doesn't want a rooted and customized phone, because she likes it the way it is. But I need to know also how to backup it all up.
What do I use? KIES? And will KIES restore everything back after I reset the phone to fectory default?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanx.
Hoping someone can provide some direction. First and foremost I am not a HTC savvy so although there are a few threads here about the same issue none of them relate to me as I have not rooted the phone nor flashed to custom ROMs or anything to that nature. I am simple user of the phone... Now.. to the topic.. so I bought this phone for my brother in law last year as a birthday present, and at the time I had a working phone so I didnt put my mind too much to it.. but I did liked the phone very much. Two months ago, I decided to purchase one of these, so I bougtht an HTC ONE X Phone S720e Android 32GB 8MP 3G WiFi GPS Bluetooth Unlocked White. I don´t recall what versión of Android it carried at the time but looking at the specs it should had come with Android 4.0.3. After loading it up, transfering my files on to it and loading some basic apps, whatsapp, email, Skype... it off coursed asked for a software update two times which I went ahead and did. The last one it installed added Android 4.2.2 and HTC Sense 5. It was working fine, layout changed considerably... now after doing another of the updates to applications and software, specifically the transfer files update it suddenly quit recognizing data services completely. I though it might be something with the micro sim, so I tried testing a couple of others, it didnt make a difference so I decided to back up my contacts and information I had on the phone and did a Factory reset. It wipped it clean but issue remains the sames, it is unable to even recognize the sim card is missing and when I go into settings I see the message Disconnected because service is unavailable.
Reading online, saw a few folks stating that this situation was related to software updates.. so I was wondering if I could get some help on how to get this fixed. Not sure what to do, downgrade to 4.0.3 or how could I get it resolved so appreciate some direction here.
If you go to settings - about - phone identity, does it still shows the imei ? Seen many people here having their imei gone from their phone and becomes an iPod since we can't write it back. Tho you are on stock, so better send it for repair.

It shows up as unknown actually... is this a software related issue then? Im concerned about the other phone going through the same situation... should no updates be installed to it then? That makes it fairly useless and might prefer to send it back and try to get a refund instead.

Hi guys,
I am experiencing a bug on my Swift where the phone reboots itself during almost all calls after a minute or so. When the phone comes back on, there is no record of the call in the call log! The phone does not reboot during any other activities. Phone details below:
Wileyfox Swift
Cyanogen OS 12.1.1-YOG7DAS2FI
Kernel version 3.10.49
Build Number LMY48Y
I have checked for another similar thread without any luck. Thanks!
I have a similar, though not identical issue. Phone keeps rebooting, seemingly at random, every other day or so. During a call, listening to spotify, idle on the desk...i have an untampered with original Os on the phone.
Cheers,
Me too.
Hi, I just registered to say I'm having the same problem. If you check the Amazon UK reviews too there are several people with this rebooting problem.
So far I have:
- uninstalled all additional apps I installed
- tried it with wifi and data off
- tried the other SIM slot
- done a factory reset
and it still reboots during calls. After the factory reset things appeared to work better in general (alarms now worked properly, and there were more options available, eg in the power button menu), but it rebooted 5 seconds into a phone call, which is a record. It's usually a few minutes into it.
The factory reset didn't actually delete my data (photos, files, etc), so I am going to do a reinstall via Fastboot now; firstly because I'll have to do that I guess if I want to send it back, and secondly to see if it finally fixes it.
I personally think the update process has screwed something up. It did an update as soon as it was powered on for the first time (it to 12.1), then a couple of weeks ago did another update to 12.1.1. It was rebooting before 12.1.1, so it is either 12.1 or earlier where the problem exists.
If it still reboots after a Fastboot reinstall then it's getting send back, and I probably won't ask for another. It's a nice phone, and a nice idea but I can't have a phone that reboots during >50% of calls. That's useless.
Pretty sure you can discount the update process too! I have also had this issue on cyanogenmod nightlies, I honestly thought I had inadvertently pushed the power button..but, NO
*edit* CM13 nightlies
That's strange as I have had no such problem with mine (bought in October) and mine is rooted with the unofficial builds of CM13... Maybe it is a manufacturing error and only on some devices...
Have you tried contacting Wileyfox?
I have not experienced this yet on the Swift when making or taking calls on it.
i'm on the latest cm13 nightly for crackling. each and every time the phone is called, whichever sim, the phone reboots. what a waste...
I have the same issue of spontaneous reboots, mostly during calls but also at other times. Spoke to Wileyfox who weren't very helpful. Has anyone found a solution for this?
Hi, I'm having the very same issue (appears a few are on other forums). Has anyone found a solution? I'm about to factory reset if it continues

Hi thanks for the update, I've just factory reset, if problem persists I'll try to get a replacement too! Was it quite a quick replacement process?
R
I'm in South Africa and have the same problem. Whenever sound is involved, I get random reboots. Calls, and music/audio books.
Not with videos though.
It doesn't reset any other time except when I've been listening to music, or on a call.
Been doing this from the beginning.
I thought it was Google Play Music, so downloaded different player.. That made it much less frequent, but then it started affecting my calls as well.
Not happy.
Hi, UK user here. I got this phone less than a week ago and have already had this issue a few times. Two spontaneous reboots on resuming from sleep, being connected to a large WiFi network was the only change from normal use here; then twice regarding calls, once when answering then immediately after reboot it rebooted again while the missed call notification was present, although still on the aforementioned large WiFi network. Unmodified, unrooted, Cyanogen OS 6.0.1 with two sims in use.
Same issue on my a1g2.
It reboots on wf swift Roms. It stucks in call screen on a1g2 stock rom. Strange...
i am having same issue, i make any call and mobile Soft Reboots itself.
So, much annoying cannot make a single call on this WileyFox Swift mobile phone.
Making calls is the main basic purpose of every mobile, but this phone just does not let me make a single call.
.Had this issue on Cyanogen OS 5.1. Now updated to Cynogen OS 6.0.1 having same issue. I have done phone setting HARD RESET and Clean Wipe 2-3 times. Still no solution.

Maybe it's the Dialer in Cyanogen OS, i installed the Google Dialer and made it default Dialer on my Swift, i don't have any problems with reboots during calls and i make long phonecalls. You don't need root access for this.
Although Wileyfox accept that there is a grounds for returns, I believe it is a software bug in Cyanogen OS 13. This fits in with using another dialler. You could also downgrade, or switch to Cyanogenmod.
Also, I only have found the issue when receiving calls, rather than making them, although I don't use a lot of minutes.
Sent bug reports to Wileyfox.. They're saying that what they see is a battery-pull reboot..
I tell them it's happening while I'm using the phone (music or calls)..
They say they can't see what the issue is.
Cos I'm in South Africa, sending the phone overseas is pointless.
Can anyone confirm that the Google dialer does cure a phone that does the reboots during calls ?
Just got a replacement swift from Amazon after Wilyefox service department had my phone since 16th of June. Amazon argued my case and in the end just sent one to me. !
Set phone up on wifi for my wife to use then put in the Voda UK sim, checked the APN setting were OK then tried making a few calls between our phones. first reboot was after 20 seconds or so and then after various tests it rebooted 4 or 5 times at which point I gave up for the night..
Any help appreciated or do I just give up now and throw in the towel, bought original swift in late May and never managed to make it work properly !!
Thanks

Well I've given up !!!
A second Swift was supplied with the help of a Amazon Rep.
We even got a £25 Amazon gift card from Wileyfox direct for all the trouble !
Set phone up on wifi, added all apps required by my wife. Put Vodafone SIM in and ...... Shutting down message.
Restarted phone and it did it a few more times. Ordered a replacement 4G SIM in case there was a problem with the 3G SIM we had. Activated new SIM and fitted it, worked for ten minutes then rebooted itself.
SIM is fine in any other phones I've tried.
Just about to return phone to Amazon, checked and my original swift is still sat with the engineer (since 16th June !!) according to the repair company website.
I feel sorry for anyone wanting their phones repairing after what I've been through.
